I won an essay contest in the 3rd grade and won a $10 gift certificate to local record store. My older brother helped me pick it out. 
The essay was about bird heaven.

I bought ALOT of 45's since I was 6 or 7 (lol...on my allowance) but I "think" the first album was Santana....?maybe Joe Cocker...or was it LET IT BLEED Rolling Stones?...hummmmm really I don't remember the very first, because once I started to buy them, I bought ALOT of them...lol
AND THEN! There was that Columbia House record club thing where you got 36 albums for .12 cents!!!! lol
