Well as you all know I am trapped in the 80's...lol. and then earlier Judy mentioned she was a Hippie...lol ,
So what does Judy make of the music in the charts today?,
What do you really feel about the music your children listen to?
or that is in the charts today for this generation?
What do your kids think of your music?...lol
I guess I'm one of those lucky ones who had cool parents. My Dad is just as much a metal-head as I am, and my Mom likes some pretty good stuff, too.
I prefer a lot of the older bands, like Guns N' Roses, Ozzy, Metallica, Megadeth, and groups like that. Back then, people had to actually learn their instruments, and sang about things that weren't always serious, and weren't always pertaining to one's love-life. Rock was FUN back in the day.
Nowadays, rock has taken a plunge into mediocrity. Guitar solos are fewer and farther between, the singers don't seem to be able to hit notes in the higher ranges anymore; and most songs all sound the same on any given album. It's no wonder everyone prefers to download, rather than pay $20 for a CD with only one or two good tunes on it. Plus, today's bands don't seem to enjoy themselves while they're playing, either. When Ozzy takes the stage, you can tell he's having himself a good 'ol time up there, like a kid in a candy shop. Today's bands just kinda stand there, play their stuff and hurry off.
