Also one may use:

For those exerienceing mental and emotional trauma and distress, the great healing mantra of Rama:

a more simpler form for this mantra but same useful for any grave sickness;OM NAMO SHIVAYA MRITUNJAYA MAHADEVAYA NAMASTUTE.

the story of this mantra is that one time the God from the moon (Chandradev) wanted to marry but the condition of the father of the girl He loved was that He will have to marry the other 25 sisters also,so He agreed in order to marry the One He loved but after the marriage He did not attended or did His duty towards all His wives only to the one He loved,So they became very distressed and returned to their Father's home and told of the situation,The father been very angry for the insult to His daughters  cursed Chandradev to loose His health and to die in darkness.Chandradev got really sick and He turned dark not giving light to the world and was ready to die since no one could brake this curse except His mother went to take Darshan of Lord Shiva and was given this mantra to counteract the sickness. The mother returned and along with chandra's wife did this mantra and within 40 days He was back in Health so this is a very powerful mantra you can do for yourself or for anyone who is sick.

Om namo Shivaya

the way they are written is how they are pronounced when something ends on a you do pronounce it,mtrunjaya sounds like mitrunjaya, with time of practice you will be able to sound it mtrunjaya but i know works perfectly even if you don't say it 100% correctly Lords Shiva is so merciful he rewards even for trying please do as much with japa and without it.

Well Jenny!

I don't just want to talk about bad reactions about mantras but good ones.

for example if you have problems in life and need a helping hand use the Ganesha mantra. Actually Ganesha should be in the start of everything even when you are going to start anything spiritual/physical and any bussines Ganesha must be there first.

I always ask my people to start with 2 weeks of chanting this mantra one japa a day a japa has 108 beads and prefferably if they have the Rudraksha beads otherwise their tulsi or other can be used.

"OM GUM GANAPATA JAI NAMAHA" and the phonetic sound is how i have written the GUM is sounded like shewing Gum. usually i ask the person to call me then i teach them how to pronounce it correctly and the sound is very benefitial for people to receive mantras in Oral form instead of reading them.

also this mantra brings lots of peace of mind and has impact on the liver/pancreas system and i have found people who suffers many mental unrest is because their liver etc. is congested.

so Mantras are beneficial on all levels when teached how to use them at the end of the trial period usually i add another seed mantra to it and give them to chant for 40 days according to the results they are obtaining.

so far i have had not one negative responce from anyone who has started to used them as guided.

i welcome any questions.

love to all

Thank you Tulsi for your help

It is true that the misuse of mantras is not good for anybody....The ones I use are for Reiki and meditation and they work very well.  My desire is to have someone teaching me, I am interested in mantras that helps healing and empower us to become better healers, better canals of healing.  I think that is the help I need now.  I am too far away from India where they are very much used.  I included your email in my list and hope to be in touch with you.....and other members of this group.  It would be very good if you share a little bit more about mantras so people are aware of possible situations they can be in if they don't use them properly.....

Thanks again

Thank you Jenny for your comments.

There are many of books with very nice pronunciations etc. in the market now days but personaly i do not recomend people to do mantras without proper guidance.

Mantras are powerful and work you believe it or not still they will do the job.

is like an fire arm if you know how to use it will fire and if you don't will fire anyway is why we see so many accidents.

I had my own experiences i took to chant a mantra from a book in my own and within a week i had a very scary car accident. A friend of mine also she started doing some mantras also had very bad accident what we did not knew that those mantras are for cleansing very deep.

the mantra is Kreem or Krim that is the seed mantra for Kali when you chant that mantra you asking to come and take away everything that is holding you no matter what methods are used and we sure had our bad experiences.

Also years ago i had started a mantra of Shiva invoking to clean and take away all that was not good around me well within 10 days my Husband packed his bags and left without any reason so i know the mantras are powerful.

I have under Bala Krishna guidance to work with mantras and the reactions i have are wonderful Not only he teached me the right way to use them but when/how and for what to use them.

Mantras can be good for health, financial problems, mental problems, love problems and spiritual advancement but you must know what to use in the proper way you not going to use a basooka to kill a roach or a hand granade to bring water from earth.

I feel bad all this places who give mantras publicly like the site Daily Om and others because i am sure many innocent people have faced big mental or physical troubles by following what is written there when is better to learn under a honest and helpful guide.

will be happy to help you with any questions you have for any mantras email me please

love to all

Thanks Tulsi for sharing this with us.  Blessings in your life.  I feel mantras are powerful when used in the appropiate moment.  If you have any suggestion of a book where I could have them all together with their meaning and use I will be very grateful.  Something that could be very helpful is to have the pronounciation of the mantras in brackets......I speak english and spanish but mantras sometimes have their way of being written in our languages but different pronounciation.....Thanks a lot for sharing life with us.

The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra - The Life-Giving Prayer

Om trayambakam yajaamahe sugandhim pushtivardhanam
Urvaarukamiva bandhanaan mrityor muksheeya maamritaat.

MEANING: We worship the three-eyed One (Lord Siva) Who is fragrant and Who nourishes well all beings; may He liberate us from death for the sake of immortality even as the cucumber is severed from its bondage (to the creeper).

i have used this mantra and can testify to the benefits of it. chant one japa daily some people can do 10 japas for heavy sickness,100 japas will help you recover for any dangerous life threatning sickness.
