How is everyone today? Today we have snow since many years in the Netherlands,so when it snows,we are excited haha.I'm just inside from playing with my son Owen in the snow.He loved it.He never saw that much snow before, okay okay, i know, the snow we have here is nothing compared to snow in some countries, but hey,we have snow today haha.Have a whale of a day you all...
I am truely appauled at whale hunting. I do not understand any country allowing and encoraging the slaughter of these animals. I support and applaud Sea Shepard in thier efforts to stop this horror. It shames me an american that we allow a small group of activist to be the only ones actively fighting to stop this horrible barbaric practice.
I also do not understand any country allowing the slaughter of any animal for food. As we cry out in disgust and horror at killing whales we need to cry out in horror at the raising and slaughter of ALL ANIMALS.
There is no difference in killing intelligent beautiful whales than in killing beautiful gentle cow, chickens, pigs, goats, sheep, cats, or dogs or any animal for food.
We need to change the worlds view on killing ANY ANIMAL FOR FOOD.
We do not need to kill animals for food.
killing whales is disgusting and my heart breaks for them, it enrages me to know Japan gets away with killing thousands of them each year. But my heart cries out and I am enraged at any animal being killed for our selfish self-centered desire for ANY ANIMAL FLESH.
The killing of animals has to stop. We have to become a world of civilized, commpassionate beings, instead the monsters we are as humans.

My dear friends
I just want to wish everyone happy holidays and all the best for 2009. This year has been a year of fights, much animal cruelty, but also victories, victories because people like you fight for what they believe in,fight for the ones in need. We must keep fighting this fight,if we want more victories for the animals we fight for, they are truly the voiceless, and fighters like us are their only voice. So, for now, enjoy the holidays and the animals count on you to continue your fight for them in 2009 and as long as needed. Big hugs to you, xoxox Claudia,For the Oceans

Good Morning Whale protectors.. just blowing by to say hello and send love from the San Juan Islands... home of the Resident Orcas J, K and L pod..... hugs to everyone.. I hope to contribute as much as I can... being a Marine naturalist here in Washington as well as being a Docent for the Whale Museum here I feel I can share insight and knowledge that is a gift to me as well. Here we are working on protecting our Endangered Orca REsidents which is a huge issue now here in Washington... I look forward to be a voice as well. Also, we have had controversy here in Washington with the Makah Indian tribe wanting to re-establish their traditional Whaling rights. It has stirred up alot of heat between them, environmentalists and the public. There is a great book entitled singing to the sound... I will find the authors name.. a must read.. where she interviews elders of the tribe and finds out that the tribe is actually wanting to do it for Money... (that $$$ gets in the way of alot of things these days..anyway, the elders who are very protective of their ancient ways are against the whaling.... anyway, it is a great book. "Singing to the Sound" you can find it at amazon.... Beautifully written

Totally agree Claudia, I get myself so upset sometimes trying to understand what would possess people to do such vile things to these beauties. Im not a narrow minded person by any means but I will never never understand these monsters!
Ok Im a bit emotional today for some reason so I ll try restrain myself.
