Honor and share the memory of your beloved companions waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge in this thread.
My beloved Bones, friend of almost 17 years. You walked into my life - a starving ragged, frightened bag of Bones. My son, Ettienne named you. From living a life of shivering cold and hunger in the forests of the Hogsback in the Amatola Mountains of the Eastern Cape, South Africa we took you to the heaven of our love - our warmth and eternal cuddles. Bones, on the 19th January 09, you walked back into your beautiful forest on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. But now there is no suffering, only love and joy - and playtime with all the furry friends who have crossed before you. I thank God for your love, for teaching me all about doggie life. I am so sorry I could not save your friend when we left the Hogsback, he would not be caught Bones, and the forest was too dense to follow him. I am sure he is there with you, right now. Your ashes are here with me, and now the tears are flowing again. I don't speak about you often, but when I do I can't stop crying. Oh my beloved woof - God bless you, and thank you Care2 friends for giving me a safe place to express my sorrow. Thank you Pamylle for inviting me here. Eureka
That is such an adorable little saint. I know you still hurt, and I'm praying for you that when it is right, you can feel some peace. still praying for the girl who had surgery too.
Thank you Pamylle, for that beautiful print of the Rainbow Bridge. One of the prettiest i have ever seen.
btw, i did offer a while back to co-host. looks like there is plenty of help, but if you need me, i am here.
Clara, thank you for your love.
Thank you so much dear Clara! I must have missed the post.
I have just added Eureka as co host and will add you too if you don't mind
Thank you Pamylle for opening this sweetest thread...I think it's just what someone who has just lost a furry friend needs to let it all out. Whoever has lost a pet knows the amount of pain it brings. Eureka I'm so sorry for your loss You and Bones are in my prayers, may you find some serenity again soon
I also want to thank the Gods/God for giving Bones the chance of living a long life surrounded by your wonderful warm love.
Dear sweet Alice, Thank you for your loving heart. I am honoured to host here, and will keep a watch each day for posts. Blessings to you and Pamylle and Clara.
Dear Nicki, may you rest in peace now sweetheart - and join all the furry friends already at play on the other side of the Rainbow bridge.
And to your mommy, Sue - we share your grief and hold you in our hearts. The love you shared with Nicki goes on for eternity - a bond never to be broken. Sue, know that we are here for you, you are welcome here to talk and share memories of Nicki. God bless you both.
I said prayers for Nicki & Sue last night...
Sue, many of us here have lost a dear companion, and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I will add NIcki & SUe to to my prayers as well...and love the pictures that are added....
Firstly to Pamylle...what a wonderful page for people to place pictures and comments about their beloved pets that have passed....loosing a pet is a devastating feeling as many know and to have a site like this is a therapy that is very much needed and appreciated...Eureka, Bones was very lucky that you came into his life...at least he was able to feel great love and care until the end of his days on earth...also your tribute photo of this poor unfortunate dog is beautiful and I'm sure that he is happy now with Bones and all the other beautiful creatures that have passed....You are Angels and I am so greatful to have you in my life...LOL Leanne xxxxxxxx
The Rainbow Bridge is so wonderful I almost wanted to follow these angels to their peace and it gave me such a contented feeling to know my fur kids are over there tonight I will add Nicki and Sue to my prayers I am so happy to have you all in my life. For Sue Nicki is in your heart forever and no one or nothing can ever separate you from your loving memories
As many of you may know, a friend of mine, Leigh, was in an automobile accident. She was injured, but is on the mend. Her beloved companion, Sam was in the car, and ran off. Sadly, I have received word this morning that he is gone.
If you like, you may, as I have, light a virtual candle for Leigh & Sam here :
Dear Sam and Leigh, no words can ease the pain of this terrible loss. I hold you both in my heart. RIP dear sweet Sam.
Beautiful Pamylle! Thank you for sharing.
Rest in Peace, Keesie & Opus.
My sympathy is with you for the the loss of Keesie, Ania.
You suffered so much...poor little Opus...my heart aches for what you have went through....rest in peace little Opus.
To all the beloved animals...Rest in peace!
Dear little Opus.....You are now safe and loved, away from the cruelties of this wicked world.
May you Rest in the Fields of Eternal Peace Forever...Sweet little One.
I don't know who did this to little innocent Opus or if there will be any justice for Opus but these souless evil beings need to leave the planet and go to where ever they came from because they cannot be human in any shape or form.
As for little Opus, he is free now, free from pain, free from the evils inflicted upon him and free to run and play with new friends.
May the Angels of the spirit world protect and guide through your journey and help you heal your wounds so that your little soul is rejuvenated to be who you were meant to be.
There will always be a candle burning for you little Opus in your memory.
Pepper tossed off a bridge.
Bella stabbed to death through a slit in the fence. RIP dear Bella. A beautiful soul, inquisitive and full of love and fun. You are safe now.
One of our dear Care2 friends, Bee Hive Lady (Betsey), had a fire a few days back, and lost one of her pets !
Please join me in sending her strength & healing energy, as you are willing & able....thank you, my friends.
(Also, thank you, Joanna for the new "rainbow Bridge" graphic - it's beautiful).

Early this morning my beautiful sweet cat - Buttons - passed away. He was almost 16 years old and I have had him since he was 8 weeks old. He was a very sweet natured cat and I will miss him very much.
Please say a prayer for him. I know that Mickey and Molson - and Kazie and Precious are waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge.
Thank you - De L.
My thoughts and prayers are with you De. RIP dear Buttons.
Rest in Peace, dear Buttons.
Sending you healing thoughts, De.
Prayers for Rigsby - and for the end to such horrors !
RIP....poor sweet Rigsby
Its the first time seeing that small insert pic of Rigsby, tears in my eyes, some of these kids are evil....words fail me,sorry too upset.
Rest now Rigsby - no one can hurt you now. You can now find contentment and love with the others that we all know are with you. Sweet little furbaby!!!
Poor baby. Rainbow Bridge will bring you much comfort and joy. You can run and play with no threat of harm. RIP dear Rigsby. Is that picture actually of someone holding the poor innocent"s head????I am sorry that your life here did not give you the love that you deserved....
Prayers are with Rigsby and those that loved him. Also, De, I see your post from last week, my prayers are also with you and your loss.
This is a pic of my feral cat Blackie, have been feeding him for over 2 years, was never able to trap him to take him indoors, anyway recently we noticed his stomach was getting huge and thought maybe he was a she and was pregnant, maneged to grab him on monday, cat protection took he/she away because it was a feral cat, anyway it turns out he was a he and it was a huge tumour,Blackie was put to sleep this morning,so i'm quite distraught & upset just now.
If it turned out he was a she and was pregnant,i was going to take her in and call her Tara.
This is him last summer.
Margaret I am so sorry. He survived much longer due to your kindness and feeding him for years. I am sorry that you have to go through this pain-I understand-I have felt the terrible loss as well. It would appear that he did not suffer-so that is a small comfort. Again--I am so sorry. He was a beauty.
Margaret - I'm so sorry for your loss. Blackie was such a beauty. Feel better in knowing that you gave him a life with your love and caring. I will light a candle tonight at 9:00 p.m.and say a prayer for him. - this is what we used to do in this group last year - Liz and myself started the ritual. I would ask that we light a candle (white is best) at 9 and include everyone's furbaby who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge too.
You added a great deal to this wonderful cat's life - be at peace with that. Blackie knew what you did for him and he loved you for it - De.
Thanks so so much Liz & De,your very kind to stop by & leave a comment, also thanks for the candle, thats a lovely idea,i always felt sorry for him in the cold weather, this year we bought a outside cat house to keep him a little warmer,i'm glad he did not die alone somewhere in the cold and in pain,i'm a bit of a mess and he was only my feral cat,LOL god knows what i'am going to be like if anything happened to Pepper.
Margaret - I lit a white Gardenia candle at 9 p.m. for Blackie. I also added Rigsby and the other animals here - as well as my own kitty Buttons. I hope they are all peaceful now. We all need to find some peace now too because of our losses. Take care - De.
Thank you De. i did the same for all.

I also lit a candle at 9:00 last night for all the animals that have passed over to the Rainbow Bridge. Of course Buttons and Blackie were included. I love lighting the candles and praying for and thinking of all the animals that need to be remembered--so peaceful. Did anyone else find that too?
Thanks Liz,i really appreciate it....love you all!
Sorry Liz i meant to say,yes you do get that feeling just watching the candle flicker, for all that has passed on RIP.
A friend of mine-Dalia-wrote me today to inform me that she has lost her precious kitty Stripes. Stripes was a young boy kitty-only 2 years old-and he is gone. Dalia is devastated-as we would all understand. I ask for all of us to say a prayer for Stripes and Dalia. And we should include Stripes in our Candle lighting on wednesday evening. I hope that everyone is well and dealing with life as well as can be expected. I hope you are feeling less fractured Margaret. My thoughts are with you.
Hi Liz,yes i got a ecard from Dalia too,i have sent my condolences to her for poor Stripes,i'm just taking this quite bad because its my first death of a pet although he was not really my pet,i'm more of a animal person & huge animal lover, will do that on wednesday for Stripes & Dalia....thanks Liz.
My friend Lynae contacted me to tell me that she has lost her beloved Gypsy/Lady. She was a beautiful older puppy. I would like to include her in our candle lighting and praying evening on Wednesday. I am having big computer problems and I do not have the money to get it repaired right now. So, if I am not on here-that does not mean that I will not be praying on Wednesday night at 9:00. Margaret--I am praying for you and hoping that you are coping a little better. I think of you often and wonder how you are doing.......
I just have to say that the pictures of Opus and the picture of Rigsbys head being held in that sickos hand-disturbs me. this has always been a peaceful place-almost serene in its essence. I think that those kind of graphic pictures do not have a place in this Group. If we ever need to look at graphic pictures-we just have to look around-they are everywhere-but I would appreciate if they were not on this Group.
Liz - I do so agree with you!!! This group had always brought a sense of extreme peace to all who entered here. Why is this now a place where we are not giving our prayers and thoughts to the animals who have crossed over - and to their grieving parents and those who loved them.
I would really appreciate just being able to pray for these little souls - instead of having a horrfic image in my head while doing so,
These pictures should only be on the news stories or petitions - where I choose not to see them. I am well aware of the sick people out there - as we all are.
Let's bring this group back to where it was a year ago - a peaceful and serene place to honor and mourn our departed furbabies - and those as well who had no one to love and care for them on earth. Please remember to light your candles at 9:00 p.m. every Wed. night. Thanks so much for caring -

Hi Liz & De,sorry to hear of your friends loss Liz,i will light a candle wednesday evening.
I'm a little better, just think of him sometimes, not seeing him at the gate,he used to come running when he heard the window open, that kind of thing.I'm glad we got him when we did,the way he was with his stomach being so big,he would not be able to run from a dog and worse still foxes could of got him,so i'm immensly pleased about that.
Thank you so much for being here for me,i appreciated it,hugs to you both!
This is the candle i have on my page for him.
I would like to have it for all the loved pets that have passed on,also to the poor tortured animals RIP all.
Lovely candle Margaret, and a lovely sentiment.
Thanks Liz,my partners cat Cally was put to sleep this morning,he was possibly 19 years,so he had good life,Neall is really upset but knew it was his time,he was half Persian Blue....this pic was taken when he was quite old,i'd like to include Cally in our thoughts......
Thanks Babe, I'm a mess just now...love you xxxxxxxxx
MY BEAUTIFUL CALLY, WHO SO SADLY PASSED AWAY ON 03/03/10
I'LL MISS YOU SO MUCH, LITTLE GUY!
Awww poor old Cally,we will miss you he had a great life with you Angel, love & hugs M.xx
Neall and Margaret--I am so sorry that you have lost your baby. I understand Neall that you are a mess right now-and nothing that anyone says will make the pain go away. I think that grieving the loss of a furbaby is very important-therefore-do what you must to cope with this loss. I will pray for your beautiful Cally this evening. If you feel up to it Neall-you might want to do this yourself. I find it very peaceful to light a candle(we do it collectively on Wednesday night at 9:00) and remember Cally in your own special way. If it is too soon for you to do this--know that all of us in this Group that do the prayers for pets-will be doing it and thinking of your Cally. He was truly a beauty. I am so sorry that you have to go through this-I am so grateful that you have Margaret to help you. She is such a special thoughtful person-and with her still missing her Blackie--you can comfort each other.
Thanks again Liz,Neall might pop on later.
For all the loved fur babies & the poor tortured ones too.
Hi Liz, and thanks so much for your kind & thoughtful comment, and also your prayer. Cally was maybe even 20 years old, as he was a young adult when he turned up at my mother's house in late 1991. I'm quite grief-stricken and feel an unbelievable sense of loss, shows just how much he was loved.
Yes--he was lucky to have found your Mothers house-which led to him finding you. You were blessed to have him so long. but it is also important to remember how lucky he was to find you. It is obvious how much you love him. I remembered Cally in my prayers for pets tonight. I hope that that brings you a small amount of comfort. Be gentle on yourself-dont push yourself through this. Take care of yourself-like you took care of Cally for all of those years. He must have been a very happy baby. You did that for him. Dont think that he didnt appreciate your love every day. Soon--your memories of him will make you smile instead of cry. I have been through this too often with my own babies. Take care of yourself. Again--I am so glad that you have Margaret.
Thanks again Liz, I appreciate your wise words so much. I'm feeling not much better yet...no wonder, Cally was so unique,a little Angel from Heaven.
Rest in peace,
Healing prayers for the human companions here who grieve from the loss of your loving presences.
Thank you Pamylle. I hope it brings comfort to people that have lost their furbabies.
Let our love & healing thoughts be with our friend Clara, who has recently lost her dear kitty companion, Chip.
So sorry to hear about poor Chip. Sending Clara my deep condolences
Dear Clara who has the true heart of a rescuer. She took in a pregnant kitty-which a lot of people wouldnt do-and she had her babies very shortly thereafter. And then she lost her sweet Chip. I will be praying for Chip this evening.
I lost my little Legolas 2 days ago unexpectedly...I am sharing this picture in his memory...
Pamylle,so very sorry to read the loss of Legolas...what a stunning bird he was,so very sweet.....
I echo what Margaret just said, such a handsome fella he was, my condolences to you Pamylle
Pamylle I am so sorry to hear of your loss. He was a beauty. I will light a candle and send a prayer for him tomorrow night at 9:00. I have a lot on my plate right now--but I will do my best to remember to do this on Wednesday--if I dont--i promise that I will do it as soon as I remember. Thank you Pamylle for sharing his picture.
(Moved to this post here to The Rainbow Bridge thread so all our memorials are in one spot.)
Liz is a wonderful person in so many ways she always gives her all
