Spirituality is a theme that is emerging in the world of leadership practice and studies. While work ethos of cultures like India had its foundation built on ideals like Paropakaaraartham Idam Shareeram (The body is meant for service), it is recent times that a rediscovery of such themes is happening in the mainstream discussions. Bill O’Brien, former CEO, Hanover Insurance, says “The success of an intervention depends on the interior condition of the intervenor.” Another interesting quote is that of Brian Arthur (economist and faculty member at Sante Fe Institute), who says, "Every profound innovation is based on an inward- bound journey, on going to a deeper place where knowing comes to the surface"
