You guys are so awesome! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, I just went through a second surgery on my right hand to remove somr bone fragments that were pressing on some nerves. I get the staples out Dec.1, then its on to therapy and start all over again learning to use my right hand again. Love you all so much, Leigh

***I reactivated this thread to give you all a little update on Leigh. Plus, if she didn't get to see all of your caring posts she'll be better able to find them.****
I got an email from her and she isn't able to do very much at the computer. She says she is having a great deal of difficulty using her right hand. Apparently, she is having to relearn to use it, as the damge was quite severe.
Her other physical pains are still lingering and her emotional ones are as well. She is still grieving greatly for her best friend and dog, Sam.
It was so wonderful to hear from her. It might take her awhile to get where it doesn't hurt to use the computer. Please keep sending your positive thoughts to her as she needs your support. She would also greatly appreciate your prayers.

It is with great sadness to hear that Sam as passed on.... this is the news that I received in my inbox this morning???? My heart goes out to Leigh... and will be thinging of her in this time...

Sam was found and had apparently been hit by a car. His injuries were too severe and the vet recommended Sam be put to sleep.
Please keep Leigh in your prayers. She has had Sam for over ten years and they were kindred spirits. Let's please post messages to her here on this thread to show her that we care.

So soooooooooorrry to hear about Leigh's accident, that is just so awful... am pleased that she is okay, but it must be "lousy" to be in bed having all that hospital grub, and noisy nurses hovering around your bed every five minutes... Leigh Bennett was involved in an automobile accident within the last day or so. I heard that she is going to be fine, but she is in the hospital. After the accident occured, her beloved dog and friend, Sam ran from the accident scene and was missing. He is microchipped and hopefully, if not already, will be found. I called two different hospitals near her town and they had noone listed by her name. I will check with some in the next biggest town. Leigh lives about an hour and half from me and I plan to visit as soon as I can figure out where she is. So please remember our dear friend Leigh and send her good thoughts and prayers (and Sam too). I will give you all an update as soon as I hear anything else. Thanks so much for caring about horses and our fellow Care 2 friends as well.
