hello dear friends.. tis afternoon here in South Africa.... has been a hot day... here is the photo from Jane Godall's Chimp Eden in Nelspruit South Africa... took Haviland up there for a visit... he had to give the pancakes and the horses a break ... this was a refreshing change.. will post some more pics.. these chimps have all been rescued and now live here... we had a lot of fun with them....

Just want to say "Hi", and hopefully everyone's having a great Monday!!I am very new to all this, but I, and my family LOVE all horses, especially our wild mustangs!! So, maybe I'll make some new friends who actually share some things in common, like a love of horses, and other animals....that would be wonderful.I also wanted to share this with all of you, our 12yr. old daughter got together with a friend, and wrote a little song to save the wild mustangs.They then sang it and played it "live" all over our town to raise money for the Wild Horse Sanctuary, and our daughter's martial arts teacher even recorded them on a cd(they raised over $200...not bad for 2 kids!!). I love the poem, and the horse photos are awesome.

Happy Monday!!  Hope you all had a Great Weekend & You all have a Great Start to the New Week!! Sorry I haven't been around in a couple of weeks, I'm having problems getting into some groups. Some groups I can get in OK & others are just a blank white page w/ nothing. Hopefully whatever is going on it's fixed now. Have any of you had the same problem??

 The Weather here in Florida is NOT looking good today & tomorrow. We have Hurricane Ida coming in tonight as a Category 1 hurricane.

Wild Horse Herds and Harems

All wild horses are herd animals living off the land in harems dominated by the strongest stallions.

Hi afternoon to all our friends here... took Haviland to Jane Godall's Chimp Eden up the road from us... we thoroughly enjoyed the chimps... they were playing and posing for the camera's... it is a lovely place with a lodege where one can sleep over, with a resturant, that opens out to a lovely porch with stunning views of the mountains... they to have wildlife on the property... it is a huge place and very special... have taken some really nice photo's so we will definitely share those with you... It is hot and summer has finally arrived with a vengence... so we will be looking to taking a dip in the pool... Hi everyone... just dropping in to let you know that the lions had a good look at Haviland and decided he would make a lovely "All American" fast food take away..  McDonalds...  Actually we are having some fun and he is worling hard whilst he is here.. so I know he will be going home to have a holiday... Have introduced him to some South African food.. he did not like Bovril, but liked the traditional "sudza" that our indigenous people have... so there will be lots more to come..  But have a stunning day and God bless

hello to all... Bernadette we are not behaving... or should I say Haviland is like "Men behaving badly"... Meg... how are you my friend... ??    We have had a rather busy day.. managed to get loads of things done... Haviland is working hard at the puzzles... he has more patience than I do, so I have opted for the garden.. as a good escape route hee hee... in that way I get off  tea duty and he has to make his own...   We also did the Newscafe.. for our early morning tea break and my coffee.. wished you could of joined us... will have to take some photo's and post.. meg will send you all the recipes to make supa dupa cocktails that'll blow the mind girl???    We'll have the lads dancing on the ceiling...  I hope that everyone else is having a grand week.. will keep you posted... As mentioned Haviland is having a cat moment.. or should I say we'll be sending him back on prozac... hee hee... Hey Bernadette.Thanks for always being so sweet. Glenda, thanks for the beautiful poem.   I watched the PBS Cloud special tonight. It was so well done. You know...I did noticed that they(horses) all looked extremely healthy and there was definitely NO shortage of land there. I loved seeing them happy and free and on their land. The Mtn Lion part made me sad tho..but I know that is part of it. Mtn Lions, I guess are natural predators unlike the BLM!

Good evening to all our friends... have had a wonderful day... have had some drizzle to, but it cleared up only to cloud over this evening... Took Haviland up to Sabie, Graskop, Mac Mac falls up in the mountains.. It is stunning up there and we had an absolute blast... will try and post some pics.. just having some problems with photorazor at the moment to reduce the size so that I can put them into my albums, they post here... The scenery is buuuuutiful... with mountains, streams and forests.... We had some amazing pancakes at the famous Harries Pancakes... they fold ours over here and fill them with either savoury or sweet.. we chose the custard type, with loads of ice cream and Haviland added some maple syrup to his... so I will be sending him home to you big round and cuddly....  My kitticats just love him and pester Haviland all the time.. he gets his fingers licked, he gets sat on and when he sets off to bed the cats follow suit.. so he is being  abused and taken advantage of by the cats.. They too want to share his lunch and supper with him.. and can't understand why he doesn't give to many tit bits... We are doing some great puzzles, Haviland to is being a real handyman around the house... he is worth his weight in gold toooooooo...  Meg I just love your new photo... will definitely have to put you in the bar as a treat to all the boys... Wow you'll be a stunner girl...  Anyway.. was quite tired from all the driving... but it has been a total jorl... and Haviland is enjoying himself..  Love to you all...
