Thanks in large part to the passion and determination of young people, more and more people are making charity an extremely personal, integral part of their lives. There is a generation today that wants to be the change instead of just talking about it.
In this same spirit, we wanted to let you know about some ways that you can participate in taking your desire to help to the next level.
- If youre a college student, participating in an All-Nighter For The Poor event is a great way to raise support and awareness about the need in places like , where more than 80% of the population lives in miserable poverty.
- Food For The Poor's Champions program gives you the power to raise funds for a program or country you are passionate about in whatever creative way you like. Champions like Sami Kerker are making a tremendous difference in the lives of the poor. Her efforts to build homes for poor people in and to raise awareness here in the states continue to inspire us. Be sure to give her a vote in the Pepsi Refresh Challenge to expand her great efforts.
- Join us on a journey you'll never forget by taking a mission trip. Find out about our Nicaraguan tripfrom November 14-18, 2011.
Thank you for your personal passion to serve the poor. Together we can do great things!
