Personally I think the biggest difference between progressives and conservative is that progressives can think about others and the future....less need for immediate self-gratification....conservatives think mostly about themselves and the present ("the me now generation")...

 

because of this difference, progressives tend to say...."we need to do this because its the correct thing to do"....conservatives say "can we afford to do it?"

 

I am sure there are exceptions to this rule, but its one big difference that I see and feel about many issues facing our world today...and since the 1980s when Reaganism arose....

Its hard to do what is best when the motivation is what makes me a profit as soon as possible.....
