BE FOR THE LORD COMES THE REMNANT HAS TO GO FORTH!! MAY THE GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BE WITH YOU ALL....
Michele and WELCOME to the group. We are so delighted to have you with us and thank you so very much for starting this new thread.
In your post you said. . . . . .
BE FOR THE LORD COMES THE REMNANT HAS TO GO FORTH!!
This is naturally making reference to the Second Coming when Christ returns and sets His foot down on the Mount of Olives and establishes His glorious kingdom. All of the saints will be with Him when He returns and we shall reign with Him for 1,000 years.
However, when Christ returns to claim His Bride, to call out the Church, He will not touch the earth, but call us up to meet Him in the air. This is what man refers to as the Rapture. The 144,000 will not "go forth" until after this event of the Rapture has taken place. This is the "coming" that we are all waiting for now, the next event to occur in God's timetable. We eagerly anticipate this return at any day......any hour......any minute. The stage is being set, the props are being placed, and soon, very, very soon, it will be curtain time for us. Come Soon Lord Jesus!

I AM BEING TOLD THE REMNANT GOES FORTH BEFORE THE SEVEN BOWELS OF THE SEVEN PLAGUES. REV. CH. 15,15 TELLS ME I WILL COME UNEXPECTEDLY AS A THIEF! BLESSED ARE ALL WHO ARE WATCHING FOR ME, AND I DON'T SEE ANY WHERE WHERE IT SAYS WE WILL NOT BE HERE FOR THE REMNANT? DO YOU HAVE SCRIPTURE? CH. 15, 15 SAYS THIS AFTER THE REMNANT IS HERE AND AFTER THE SEVEN BOWELS OF THE SEVEN PLAGUES!
You are correct in your timeline for the Second Coming of Christ to this earth. But if you read Zechariah 14:5 it says:
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, andall the saints with thee.
Also in Jude verse 14 it says:
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
The only way we can come with Him is to have been taken out of the world before His Second Coming. We will be caught up in the Rapture before this time and return with Him when He returns to establish His Kingdom.
Romans 5:8 and 9 says:
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
And in 1 Thess. 1:9 and 10
9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; 10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
and in Chapter 5: 9 and 10:
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
Jesus told His disciples "In My Father's house are many mansions. I go there to prepare a place for you." If we were not going to be "Raptured" out of this world before the Second Coming of Christ into the world, then when would we be taken to the place He has prepared for us? We will be taken out before the start of the tribulation and taken to the place He has prepared for us. We will then experience the Marriage of the Lamb to His Bride, which is us, the Church and His Body. Then we will return with Him to reign with Him for 1,000 years in His kingdom. This is when "we should live together with him" as stated in 1 Thess. 5:10 above. We who are born again Christians are anxiously waiting and watching for His coming to call us up to meet Him in the air and it's going to be soon.
Vicky, the dictionary definition is: a small part or trace remaining or an unsold or unused end of a fabric bolt that is sold by the yard. Here, the 144,000 of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed (as a remnant) in Revelation 7:4. They were Jews who would be redeemed out of the tribulation. Rev. 14:1,3
Thank you, Karen....I don't remember that word in the Bible although I do recall it as pieces of left over fabric. I will go and read the verse you provided.
Thank you, Jeanette for the book & verse where the word remnant is mentioned so many times....it could have been in the Bible 1000 times but I still don't remember reading it, though.
Vicky. . . .I understand that you don't remember since your stroke. I gave you these references in hopes that you might make it a personal project to look each of them up and see if they might "trigger" something in your memory since you have already read each of them before in your reading through the whole bible twice. I would love to find a key to getting your memory back on track. It's in your data base somewhere sleeping and we only need to help you find out how to access it and wake it up. This list isn't going anywhere, anytime you feel like giving it a try, it will be here for you.
Oh, I love the list Jeanette and I will definitely keep it and go back and read. Sadly, I don't think my not remembering is from my stroke though cuz I read the entire Bible once or twice before my stroke so I should have remembered (I think). It's strange cause I had no recollection of the word remnant in the Bible at all. Very curious.

Michele says:
I DON'T SEE ANY WHERE WHERE IT SAYS WE WILL NOT BE HERE FOR THE REMNANT? DO YOU HAVE SCRIPTURE?
I have the following Scriptures for you!
Psalm 50:3-6 "3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before Him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about Him. 4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that He may judge His people. 5 Gather My saints together unto Me; those that have made a Covenant with Me by sacrifice. 6 And the heavens shall declare His righteousness: for God is Judge Himself. Selah."
Psalm 37:28 "For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not His saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off."
Psalm 145:20 "The LORD preserveth all them that love Him: but all the wicked will He destroy."
Luke 12:36-40 "36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their LORD, when He will returnfrom the wedding; that when He cometh and knocketh, they may open unto Him immediately. 37 Blessed are those servants, whom the LORD when He cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that He shall gird Himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. 38 And if He shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the Thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. 40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not." [If you're NOT "ready", Christ will come when you don't expect Him. Your house will "be broken through" by the Unexpected "Thief", and you will be left destitute.]
Revelation 19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the Marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the True Sayings of God."
Revelation 21:2,9 "2 And I John saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her Husband... 9 And there came unto me one of the Seven Angels which had the Seven Vials full of the Seven Last Plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the Bride, the Lamb's Wife."
Note in this last passage, the Bride has now become the Wife. The marriage of the Lamb was taking place with the saints, the Church that had already been raptured, while... The tribulation was taking place on earth, with the remnant of 144,000.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 "13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
Who are the ones who have no hope? They are the unsaved, those that continue to reject Christ as the Son of God, those that were not born again.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. 15 For this we say unto you by the Word of the LORD, that we which are alive and remain unto the Coming of the LORD shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the LORD Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the Trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the LORD in the air: and so shall we ever be with the LORD. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these Words."
If Jesus Christ were coming down to the earth at that time, there would be no reason for us to meet Him in the air. He is calling His Bride to go with Him for the Marriage of the Lamb in heaven. "Behold the bridegroom cometh, go ye out and meet Him."
Michele, please study these Scriptures along with the "Timeline" chart that is posted with a Red Pin above. I hope it helps you to put things in chronological order as the events are going to occur.
THANK YOU FOR THE SCRIPTURES! CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THE REMNANT IS HERE FOR? AND WHAT IS THE SONG THAT ONLY THEY CAN SING? WHAT IS ALL THIS? THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME OUT!
g'morning Michele. . . .The remnant is what is left of the 12 Tribes of Israel. There will be 12 thousand of each tribe. In the beginnng book of the Bible, Genesis, we learn that the nation of Israel is God's chosen people and He made covenants with them that have not yet been fulfilled. One of those covenants was the land God promised Abraham and all of Abraham's decendants through his son Isaac. God promised that they will dwell in their land forever. During the tribulation, God has His angel seal the 144,000 of those that are left from Abraham's seed to protect them from harm. They will at last repent of their sin of adultry as a nation, from worshipping idols and other gods, and they will go about preaching "the kingdom is near" to all the inhabitants of the earth to sway any possible believers from accepting the mark of the beast and from worshipping the antichrist. John the Baptist also preached to repent for the Kingdom of God is near. When Jesus Christ returns to set up His kingdom, all those that refused the mark of the beast and believe on Him will be allowed to enter into the kingdom. This does not make them born again Christians as we are but they will have a place in the kingdom with the remnant of Israel. Just as the Christians are the Bride of Christ, Israel is to be the wife of Jehovah God.
"Because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." Deuteronomy 32: 3, 4
and the Song of Moses and the Lamb
"And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thy judgments are made manifest." Revelation 15:3, 4
5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
6 And the
seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed
in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden
girdles.
7 And one of
the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of
the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
8 And the
temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power;
and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of
the seven angels were fulfilled.
