Bay Area - Public Comments Needed by October 1st to Protect the Tuolumne River!
| Blue Label

Take action to stop the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) from harming the Tuolumne River by submitting this comment letter. The SFPUC wants to take 25 million gallons a day MORE water from the Tuolumne River by the year 2030.

Taking more water from the Tuolumne will harm important habitat for fish and wildlife including chinook salmon and rainbow trout, degrade world-class recreation opportunities, and worsen San Francisco Bay-Delta water quality.

Attention: Bay Area Residents
In order to pay for this program, water rates in San Francisco are projected to triple by 2015 and will increase significantly in other Bay Area cities as well.

This financial burden is being placed on you, so speak out and demand that San Francisco spends your dollars in a way that protects and restores the Tuolumne River.

What you can do today
Write a letter to the Environmental Review Officer at the San Francisco Planning Department urging him to protect and restore the Tuolumne River and not divert more water from the Tuolumne!
