I love this, it reminds me of something but I can't quite put my finger on it
Well thanks allot Suzanne, you just put a damper on my next years hunting season lol
Yup, I can do that to a person....
Maybe this will dampen a few more
This guys name is Stupidface. He greets me at my back door every morning and let's me pet his head. Then follows me around. I luv him....
ok ok.... but PLEASE at least stay away from my Grousing, it may just be all I have left
Truly, I have no issues with hunting. It serves a need and a purpose. I just couldn't do it. I am not sure if I could do it if my life depended on it. I'd probably feed them before I fed myself. I just can't help it. That's me.
I know Suzanne, I was just enjoying a little light hearted conversation with you, its rather refreshing.... So thanks
My pleasure and thanks to you as well.
I am looking for Knate as well and will keep you all posted
Am I going to get in trouble for using that image?
Made me smile...
We go to alot of outdoor shows and they often have those tree stands. I wish I could remember the company name but one is always there demonstrating. It's a single seat and you sort of cinch (?) your way up, lock in and your good to go. I want to buy one, so I can hang out up in the trees in my yard.
Ah, a climbing tree stand, I have one myself, each trip up the tree in a entirely new experience
I love the map
I wonder about West Texas though. I didn't think it had that many people.
That picture was taken before Sandy, some of those trees in the forefront are now down or damaged. I went hiking there this past Sunday, through some of my favorite trails. It was sad. I took some ppictures with my phone but can't load them for some reason (working on it).
It was the first time I got to go into the woods since the storm. One of my favorite sections are just pine trees for the most part. My daughter and I named it Pine Tree Alley for reference. When you entered the smell was intoxicating. Well, it was sad. Like a grave yard of trees.
Thats a really nice picture Suzanne, I love the view
Really loved that picture of Buck. LOL
Thanks Allen, that place is my salvation...
Nancy, it's him...right?

Is that in the Pine Barrens?
Nancy, I wrote you a response with explanation of location, but it poofed.
This is in Northern Central New Jersey. The Pine Barrons are very much in the South part of Jersey. I am a Northern girl.
Does that make me a damn Yankee?
I knew the Pine Barrens were south- but that doesn't mean you didn't drive down.
That's so south they don't even want us northerners there I generally don't go that far south in Jersey. It is a beautiful area though.
Didn't realize that the Mason-Dixon line went right through NJ.
But hey- I live in Indiana now- they claim it is the only southern state north of the Mason Dixon line. (which actually didn't extend that far west, I believe).
Truth to it...indeed!

Allen, I don't know who is scruffier. That was cute. I checked out a couple of the others ones, they were cool too. I like owls, very rarely do I spot them in the wild but on occasion I do and it is always a thrill.
