Where can I find local farmers?
| hints, tips, & how-to's

I live in Los Angeles so it's hard to find local farmers for things like beef, pork and poultry. I myself am a vegan, but the rest of my family still eats meat, so I am begging them to buy from smaller local family farms. They basically told me if I find it, they will buy it. I have checked local farmers markets and there are lots of great vegetables and fruits. The most I could find meat wise was chicken, which is better than nothing. But I'd still like to find a source of other meat products to assure that my family will be getting cruelty-free meat. Let me know if you can help me out. I'm in the San Fernando Valley area near Northridge if that helps. THANKS!

Click here and enter your zip code. It's the Eat Well Guide by Sustainable Table. It will pull up info on all organic food sources in the area.
