The feelings are the tastes of life. Without it we can't love, without love we can't live. Everyone needs love. This is the most important feeling. "Love remember me that nothing else matter"

Perhaps FEEL is not actually a sense at all, meaning that the other senses: (sight, sound, taste, touch, extrasensory), all are things that allow us TO feel. To feel, is to be. Just like thinking. Then again, thought allows us to feel, too.

I have often wondered if this might be where the "sixth sense" was tossed when it was categorized. Feeling is such a broad category. I feel with my skin. I feel with my memories. I feel with my emotions. I feel with my expectations.
Sometimes there are times when I wake up without knowing why. And I head for the bathroom figuring that my body must have been taking care of business. But just before I start to get out of bed, there comes a feeling that I need to call someone first thing in the morning. And then in the morning, when I call, they say that they didn't want to ask for help or that they have been worried about something and we talk. It's like a little nudge, just a reminder that intuition and instinct are still with us. And they are with us for a reason.
Feeling is like a self-assurance, a way to check back to see if what you have experienced is real to you. And whether it fits in with other people's reality or not, the feelings you experience are powerful motivators.
To feel is to be aware, and in that awareness to decide a response that reminds you that you are alive. --Linda

What is a feeling? Is it a hunch, a touch, an emotion, a mental attitude? Maybe it is a milieu or an atomospher.
All of these are synonyms. Words that are found in a Thesarus and have various shades of meaning.
Feelings bring about or allow pain and happiness. What do you feel? How do your feelings change?

To Feel ~ how many thoughts are beckoned by that one word?!
We have the ability to perceive things by touch or sensation in a tactile manner.
We feel how things impact us at the emotional level.
We feel for people, meaning we sympathetically share their experience from a compassionate standpoint.
We have a feel for things, a knack or talent.
We having feelings, emotions, hunches.
We're asked how we feel...
To feel expresses an emotional or moral sensitivity, intuitive awareness, perceptiveness. It also denotes cautious exploration, physical sensations. Even the atmosphere of a place is said to have a certain feel...
I think it is the very definition of a sentient being. To feel is to experience unstructured consciousness.

I would say that the emotional feelings are often more important than the physical or is there a difference at all ? Can I feel only with my body ? I guess not - there is, to me , a tie between the two.
One of the most important lessons I learnt in my life is, that it is important how I feel about myself! If I do not own basic self respect I can hardly expect anyone else to respect me I need to treat myself well.I need to FEEL good about being me. To feel with my heart that my life, as it is , is worthwhile and important, and has meaning. Without these , hope is lost and without hope - senselessness comes to the fore and that is not lifegiving at all !
No, I need to FEEL good about life !![]()

"THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD...
To See
To Hear
To Touch
To Taste
To Feel
To Laugh
And to Love."
This is the heart of this group... thankfulness for all that we have, beginning with the most fundamental our lives and senses. To Hear
To Touch
To Taste
To Feel
To Laugh
And to Love."
What does it mean "TO FEEL"?
Wow! To feel... this is a really BIG one... the sense of touch is so important that infants deprived of being touched fail to thrive. But then there is the "emotional" feel we have to contend with.
When they were young, I used to tell my kids that their "feelings" were as real as their nose & toes.
Are we talking about both ? Should we be talking about both?
Peace & blessings,
Marge
