*We're given the power of laughter, not only to laugh AT things, but to laugh things OFF. We'll always know difficulties and we will never be without our share of troubles, but the happy person learns how to laugh most of them off.*

Laughing means to me something that come form the heart.Pure, clear, true, sincere.

The jingle laughing is the best music to my ears. If I hear it, I smile, it gives me pleasure.

Laughing is probably my favorite pass-time I am so blessed to live with 3 very funny people, and to have funny friends. When I was growing up my family laughed all the time; when I had a family of my own we laughed even more. We laughed at ourselves and each other regularly, which makes me laugh just remembering LIke smiles and yawns, laughter is contagious. .

I think of humor as a close cousin to love, because when one is laughing, it seems they glow, a bit, metaphorically speaking.  When I'm laughing, the air smells sweeter to me, the colors around me are more vivid, nothing else seems to matter much, at that moment.

You are a baby and you stumble or wobble and sit flat on your tail and look up ready to cry and your mom and Dad are laughing.

And it reassures you that you are all right. You are still cute and funny and loved.

They say that 90% of all humor is based in overcoming pain. Laughter is the best medicine.

I always wondered about slapstick comedy.  It seems so cruel to laugh at someone who just got bopped, poked in the eye or tripped.

to Laugh

When I was in elementary school, I used to wonder how laughing came about. I mean, it's kind of a peculiar expression of emotion. Someone says something and you respond with your own brand of communication, a honking or squeaking or huffing or gurgling. You respond to what is said or communicated.

Can you imagine what it was like to have someone to laugh with for the first time?

You are a baby and you stumble or wobble and sit flat on your tail and look up ready to cry and your mom and Dad are laughing.

And it reassures you that you are all right. You are still cute and funny and loved.

They say that 90% of all humor is based in overcoming pain. Laughter is the best medicine.

So kick yourself or fall on your tail and get the giggles. It's good for you.  --Linda

I was lucky enough to hear Bernie Segal , author of Author of Love, Medicine & Miracles.

Laughter is almost "critical" to curing cancer among other ailments.

"....since laughter is surely

The surest touch of genius in creation.

Would you ever have thought of it, I ask you,

If you had been making man....would it also

have occurred to you to make him burst himself

With such a phenomenon as cachinnation?

That same laughter, madam, is an irrelevancy

Which almost amounts to revelation."

Laughter is the world's most common language. Don't ever forget to laugh at yourself. If you take yourself too seriously, you are in trouble.

"THE SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD...

To See
To Hear
To Touch
To Taste
To Feel
To Laugh
And to Love."

This is the heart of this group... thankfulness for all that we have, beginning with the most fundamental our lives and senses.

What does it mean "TO LAUGH"?

Did you know that belly laughing exercises your insides... it's like jogging for you liver!

Also, even if the laughter is "fake," just laughing improves one's moods.

So what does it mean to laugh... or have the ability to laugh? (Only human beings can laugh.)

Peace & blessings,

Marge
