Lately it seems I have been bombarded by the Lord about gratitude and thankfulness. In my Women's Bible Study Fellowship we had a seminar on Personal Quiet Time and something that came up was keeping a gratitude journal. Then I went to a study in my church on Mind Monsters and again gratitude journaling was mentioned to help combat the monsters and keep thinking positive. Then I began taking a Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies class through my doctor's office and again journaling, gratitude journaling in particular, was brought up and mentioned as a way to help manage chronic illnesses. WOW! Ok, Lord, I get it.
Now, I'm joining this group and I have to say I loved the board post about the seven wonders of the world. I can't wait to read and express my own gratefulness for my children, pets, friends, and for having all my needs met.
I'm a mother of two and have several chronic illnesses and am a vegetarian Christian who was born and raised in Texas and now lives in Washington State. I have a beautiful sweet kitty cat and a wonderful man in my life. I'd say I have a lot to be thankful for. Thank you for letting me be a part of this group.

Dana, Tiffany, Garnet Jenny, Pat, and All others who have joined recently. Wonderful to have you here and hope you enjoy your time here. Looking forward to getting to know all of you better, and feel free to add to threads or start a new one, most of all, have fun. Big hugs to All, Carmen.
"It is just that we should be grateful, not only to those with whose views we may agree, but also to those who have expressed more superficial views; for these also contributed something, by developing before us the powers of thought."

Hi, I'm a new member, too. I have so much in my life to be grateful for. I am thankful for the health of my children and my grandchildren. I'll be going back to work full-time soon and it feels great to have the opportunity to switch gears at this stage in my life.
I'm in a committed relationship and we have faced cancer (him) and beat the ole son of a gun because of prayers and a willingness to stand tall in the face of adversity.
This group will be a welcome addition to my life.
Thank you David for inviting me to join the group. It looks wonderful here and i'm looking forward in getting to know everyone better.
Thank you Goga for gracing me with a star. I really appreciate it as it is very kind of you !
God bless everyone and may each of you have a very beautiful forthcoming week.
Love, Leef.
Chris,
I know how it feels to "go back home."

Although as Thomas Wolfe says, "You Can't Go Home Again." It's a paradox...
I so happy to hear that things are going well.
I hope you don't mind a little Air Force humour. My hubby was USAF almost 21 yrs. The question (in the missle squadrons
) was, "Why not Minot"? The answer, "Freezin' the reason."
Peace & blessings,
Marge

Hello everyone, I'm Janene and I am grateful that I live in a beautiful coastal town in Western Australia, as I have always wanted to live close to the sea but have never had the opportunity to do so. I am also grateful to be joining a group that believes gratitude is key in living life fully. Have a great day everyone!!
I somehow overlooked introducing myself as a new member.
Oops, sorry.
I love this group because a number of years ago the term "attitude of gratitude" occured to me. More important than the term, is the behaviour of looking at all the good things I have in my life. I find it a path to balance. Closely aligned is having a sense of humor about the absurdities which surround us.
I look forward to giving and receiving encouragement to keep the attitude of gratitude.
