Built to Last
“I believe that God can and wants to create good out of everything, even evil…I believe that God provides us with as much strength to resist as we need. But he does not give it in advance…We trust Him alone. In such a trust, all anxiety about the future must be overcome.” - Dietrich Bonheoffer (1906-1945)
Typically we live short-term, living for the moment, taking risks we would not otherwise take were it not for the moment. And though we do live this way, mind and heart obsess with what is beyond, out into the future—wondering, planning, questioning, doubting . . . risking the moment yet fearing the future; opening fear doors we wouldn’t entertain if we weren’t so mentally “out there” . . . attempting control of life in general—mentally. It doesn’t work.
Living consists of seeds sown. The decision to give rather than hoard overthrows self-pity and self traps. Sow your life—sow every minute, sow every detail; release the details, let them go. Send yourself out into the day, and then tomorrow do the same.
Truth is we were built to last. Our lives are sent by the Lord; our mission is sure. Whatever comes, His plan will last; the plan will endure the course if I will. There’s every reason to trust Him, especially now, and the reasons to trust far outweigh provocation to doubt.
We were built to last, you and I; built to last for eternity. Quit god-making. HIS is the Kingdom with its power and glory, an everlasting Kingdom. Live not for the moment alone, and not for the future alone, but with eternity the command central.

It's Between You and God
People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway.YOU AND
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It never was between you and them anyway.
Thank you Ivonne
You are so welcome Dianne, I think this is perfectforwhat you are going through!
Nothing is Too Big for God
Two men went fishing. One man was an experienced fisherman, the other wasn't. Every time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to keep it fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw it back.
The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of seeing this man waste good fish. "Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish you catch?" he asked. The inexperienced fisherman replied, "I only have a small frying pan."
Sometimes, like that fisherman, we throw back the big plans, the big dreams, the big jobs and the big opportunities that God gives us. Our faith is too small. We laugh at that fisherman who didn't figure out that all he needed was a bigger frying pan; yet how ready are we to increase the size of our faith?
Whether it's a problem or a possibility, God will never give you anything bigger than you can handle. That means we can confidently walk into anything God brings our way.
You can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13). Nothing is too big for God.
