Urge Baseball Team to Cancel Cruel Monkey Acts
7 years ago

Massachusetts' Minor League baseball team, the Lowell Spinners, will be holding capuchin monkey "acts" as team promotions: one billed as "Django The Monkey Appearance!" and the other as "Cowboy Rodeo Night" —  where capuchin monkeys are forced into costumes, strapped to dogs and raced around a track. These animals endure a miserable, bizarre, and stressful ordeal that can result in injury. PETA asked the team owner to replace these acts with any of the countless humane alternatives, but our request has been dismissed.
Animals used for "entertainment" in traveling acts suffer terribly and need your voice! Deprived of everything that is natural and important to them, they live in constant anxiety, physical discomfort, and frustration.
Please urge team officials to cancel these cruel promotions.
