Saw your message but can't reply. I haven't been into facebook for a while. Also have over 1,100 C2 personal messages...The thought of which makes my head hurt more. Sorry if ppl are trying to contact me I can only do bits and pieces, which is frustrating for me and anyone who is relying on me, so I've stepped down from being cohost...sorry Vivien and Rose.
I've had no or little internet connection for a few days, I've just used up my 'allowance'. Pages take about 10 minutes to load, so I'm not sure if this will get through .
Hugs to all
HAPPY BIRTHDAY for 17th January, JUDITH!
Yes it is hot Vivien
Nice seeing you Thubten
Nice to see you too David. Did I ever mention my sister-in-law is a Lilje? She's lovely! Best thing that ever happened to my brother.
Lately I've had more strength and energy and have been able to do a small bit of gardening nearly every day. I haven't been able to do this much for years!!!! and it's been v rewarding. Is this breakthrough the devils claw medicine? Or the ME easing a bit? I'm enjoying it while I can, whatever it is.
I've just heard on the radio that fire is raging through the Warrumbungles, NSW, which is one of my favourite places in the world. My heart goes out to all the animals who are losing their lives, to the tired, weary people fighting the fires, to the heartsick people who've lost homes and livelihood. I camped and walked through that area many times when I was young.
Love to all of you
So pleased to hear you are getting to do some gardening Thubten, it is so therapetuic. There is nothing like feeling the energy flow that encouages action, it is like the sun coming out from behind a dark cloud.
It is so sadto hear about the terrible bush fires in Australia and as you said Thubten the heartbreaking loss of animal live and the beautiful environement.
My heart also goes out to the fires fighters and the people who are loosing their homes and livihoods.
Is she Swedish Thubten ? as that is my background many years of course
Glad that you are starting to feel better
Yes these bush fires are awful
Glad also Thubten, that you are slowly doing things again
A nice sister in law is nice to have
I agree Vivien these fires are shocking
Nice to hear that there are so many Swedes in this group, since that is my birthplace.
Glad to hear that you are doing better, Thubten, and I hope these medicines are working wonders so you can be cured for good.
The world has to be said is upside-down. Have seen the fires on the TV and it is beyond words, sadly enough. At the same time as I could see that there has been severe flooding in Jakarta, wish is almost as bad for the people involved, although, the area hit is not as big and fires more unpredictable.
I pray for rain in Australia and for the animals and people involved.
Best wishes to you all,
Hello Yvonne nice to see you dropped by. Hope you are well
David, Thubten is a given name given to Judy by her Buddhist teacher I don't know if she has a Swedish connection.
you have to teach me some Swede
Hej igen!!!! (Hi again)
There you have your first words, David. A relaxed way of saying hi is: hejsan
Thubten is actually part Swedish! I think it is her grandfather or so, who comes from my birth town, Gothenburg.
So maybe we should have some Swedish lessons her so people can connect with their roots
Thanks Vivien for your greeting. Unfortunately, I have the flue of the year and on top of that I have to prepare for exam next week. So the timinng is dreadful as usual, but on the other side, when is a good time for having a flue???
I hope you all stay healthy and enjoy your weekend!
Oops Sorry Jenny ( Thubten) senior moment!!!!!!!!!
Hejsan Yvonne, sorry to hear you have the flue hope you recover soon. Wishing you sucess in yor forthcoming exams
Cannot believe it is nearly the weekend again. I am tugged up warm on the couch, it is freezing cold out side. Expecting snow again tomorrow.
For the swedes amongst us:
I hate pain, I hate illness, I hate fires!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wished you all a wonderful weekend!
and I hate mistakes! of course i mean "I WISH"
Ditto I meant "tucked up" Ah well , I make so many, so have gotten to the stage that I have stopped beating myself over them otherwise I would get nothing done. I just tell myself there are more important things to worry about then my pride.
HAVE A GREAT WEKEND EVERYBODY!!!!
Will leave you with great pictures of snow covered Uk

Have to wait until four to see the vet.
The vet thinks she has been bitten on the ear by another cat and when she tried to escape torn herself on wiring. she has to have an operation to morrow. She has a deep wound on her chest.

So sorry to hear the news about your beautiful Dexy.Wishing her good luck in her operation tomorrow that she will be well real soon, Vivien.
So sorry Vivien to hear this about Dexy
Update on Dexy. she has had her operation today they found another wound under her arm so had to stitch that also.
She has to wear an Elizabeth collar to stop her licking or pulling the stitches. She keeps bumping into things (hate those collars)
She kept us awake last night because she wanted to go out and she was hungry as she is used to grazing. Had to starve her from 9pm. She has not been too the loo for 24hrs even though she has a litter tray. She is used to using the woodland. Vet says she will when she really needs to and not to worry.
She said says the next two nights will be the hardest. more so as she cannot go out and loves the great outdoors. Have to keep her in for 10 days. Take her back too the vet on Monday and all being well she will have the stitches out in 10 days.
They said she was such an affectionate cat and so well behaved Never gave them any bother with injections or putting the canullar in They said it was a pleasure to treat her as it makes their jobs so much easier. I have always said she has a great nature but then I am biased <3
Sorry about dexy Vivien
Midweek again. Is time speeding up as I grow older?
Thank you David. Dexy is so subdued with the E.collar. I hate them but it is nescessary to stop her licking or biting the stiches. She is eating again but not a lot also not dring as much as she ussually does.
Bought a new cat carrier for her. Goes back to have stiches removed on Monday. We still keep finding scratcies on her from her ordeal.
Cannot wait to let her pot again she keeps going to the door and keeps meowing to get out.
Althought not as bad as it was at first.
Hope everybody is well!
I should start with an apoligize to Australia for praying for rain. It seems as my prays were heard and more to it. Sorry! I hope it will turn our alraight in the end.
Sorry to hear about Dexy, Vivien. I hope she is better
Thought it was time for a new word. This time "hejdå" meaning goodbye. One can also say "farväl", but it is really formal.
Can you all have a great week! I will go back to noting and signing again.
I also like to welcome the new members! "Välkommen" I hope you are fine and that you will enjoy this group as much as I do!
Yvonne you are a sweetie Re Rain In Oz

So Glad Dexy is on the mend
Ps I love that song "bird on a wire"
Our family has a Scottish heritage from the Borders, I think my grandmother once went to Sweden and nowhere else, except to Australia.
Glad your cat is feeling better Vivien
I have Scottish blood too Judith on my mothers side
Yvonne, it is great that you are teaching us a new language
Oops meant to say cannot wait for dexy to "go out" not "pot" funny that as I have been feeding her grass (from the garden)

Happy to hear Dexy is well again, what a beautiful cat, looks so happy to be out & about again!
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.
Enjoy this lovely relaxing video.
The guy flying the 3 kites is in his 80s, and he's from Canada . He comes to the Washington State International Kite Festival every year. His skin is like leather as he normally flies with his shirt off. He is deaf, so when he flies we hold our hands up and wave them for applause. He flies 2 with his hands and the 3rd one is attached to his waist.
You must watch to the end to see the amazing landing of that last kite! I would have those kites so tangled up, you could never get them separated again! And of course, make sure the volume is turned up because the music is wonderful and totally reflects the soaring of the kites. Beautiful.
Vivien that is great news about Dexy
I will check out those kites
I hope all is well with one and all
