So, I guess each person starts a thread with their name on it? Then, posts only on that thread?

You don't have to start a thread of your own, Kristi. There are threads for just petitions that you can sign, there are threads with animals needing homes, etc. If you feel that you want to start a thread because you have something different to offer, then by all means, start one. You can post on any thread that you like....no restrictions. The only thing that we do ask is not to show any graphic pictures of animal abuse.
Welcome Kristi! Alot of people have their own treads- but you certianly are not limited to post on one thread only.
There are SOOOO many issues facing animals, and it is a fast moving group- so? We like to encourge people who post alot to have their own thread- mostly to save space and energy-
If this makes any sense? In other words, if you have 50 posts to make, its is WAYYY less confusing to have ONE thread with 50 posts, rather than 50 individual threads as a new topic. Plus, that way, if someone misses a day or two viewing the group, the petitions dont get lost and hopelessly buried under hundreds of single topic threads, never to be seen again.

Welcome everyone - as Nyack said - this is a fast moving group - I have to thank her - her friends - and their friends for this - when I was host (though a 14 year old started it) the group was active but now it is one of the most active groups I know - I barely have time to post and answer.

Just got home from my daughter's house. We've been in the path of Hurricane Isaac for the last 2 days. Rain, wind and flooding all over. I feel sorry for the people in Louisiana. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.
