This is one of my favorite word games. The idea is to add 2 letters or delete 2 letters from the last word that is given. The words have to have either 3, 5, 7, 9 or 11 letters if you can find a word with 11 letters. In other words, each word has to contain an odd number of letters. You can't change the letters of the last word given, you can only use the same letters, adding 2 more or deleting 2. You can change the sequence of the letters. For instance, if the word is:
LEADS, delete 2 letters and get SAD - or
LEADS, add 2 letters and get DEALERS or change LEADS' letters around, add two and get SADDLES.
Get it? Ok, I'll start with one word and you take it from there.
Good start, Cheryl. Way to go!
Never played this one- hopefully this is doing it right?
(I've never played this one either, Nyack. I, too, hope we're doin' it right!)
New to the game? You got it right. Good job, Nyack!
Apparently we posted together with the same word, Betty! You're all doing fine. I'll try again.
I'm loving this! Can't wait for everyone else to join in tomorrow.
Sorry Nyack! I missed your post. You might want to delete mine, Lynn. I'm outta here for the night. It's 1:00 a.m. at my house. Time for me to fall into bed!
Never did this game
Wow Nyack but you are GOOD I've never played this game before but I love it! I'm going to try alternating

You are great - thanks Lynn - but watching Looney tunes and too hard to think this early - so we are still at
Hmm thats 13 letters, I thought the max was 11. Stuck on this one. Lynn, any help? Maybe start a new one? Its a great game and certainly gets the old brain cells going

Nyack ,you must be good at scrabble and jumbles ( my fave)
Lynn, that's funny...I made a joke earlier in proverbs and sayings
"it's not the length of your tiller,it's how you come about"....
old nautical joke
Got a little off base there for a while, but we're ok now.
That's funny, Siouxz! Looks like our posts got mixed in crossing the "sea" lol. Now the next person has a choice of release or sea. ????
I will go with release and say Easel
Sorry Nyack. Care2 latency again this morning?! I was working from Cheryl's post. Your two posts didn't appear until I'd posted....
Sorry, same here Betty. I was following on from Nyack and swearer and your post didn't appear until I'd done mine. I'll change mine to Draws

No wonder you're confused, Diane. I'm breaking my brains when I try to figure out who to follow here. Care2 is making a mish-mash of everything. It's a fine mess you've gotten us into, Care2! (paraphrasing Laurel and Hardy LOL)
I'm going to follow Nyack with "steward" and see if we can straighten this out.
Oh wow Lynn, yours wasn't there when I posted and I was following on from Nyack too I'll think of another word and come back
(This entire day has been a nightmare!!)
yar...an old nautical word,meaning a perfect yacht
or a beautiful boat
Good one, Siouxz! How was your birthday?

surge I think I got it finally
Patricia, thanks for playing but we have to add or delete only two letters to the previous word. You added four letters. Would you like to try again adding only 2 letters or subtracting 2 letters from SUEDE?
sue all abusing our Earth and her inhabitants
Okay, Cheryl -- back to spa!
Ok, the taskmaster here. I have to keep the game legal, so Barb - sea was used an hour ago by Cheryl. Care to try again with Brenda's word "scale"?
I guess Barbara didn't see my message.
