More And Better Bike Lanes September 21, 2008 4:39 PM

Hello

I have a petition at the Link below if any one would like to sign thank you.

http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/more-and-better-bike-lanes

Ridding a bicycle is very good for your health and the health of the planet. Raised multi use lanes away from traffic would be a safe place to ride a bike ,wheelchair, electric scooter, etc.

My friend Chum,

What you have brought forth here is a very good point and the links are interesting. Some of which would not hurt to be brought about around more areas on this beautiful planet we live. It is a shame when we have to put forth petitions for common sense items. It is also a shame that
too many who can make the changes needed are driven by the money they can put into their own pockets.
Even here in what is considered by the metro areas as rural Oklahoma, we have problems making things safer for those who ride bikes but those things would go through faster for them than for those people who need them more, those in wheelchairs. If someone rides in a wheelchair they must take public transit where available or attach poles with orange flags that are at least six foot (just under two meters) in height from the street since most area do not have sidewalks and the areas that do have sidewalks don't all have ramps to get on them either.
Peace and Blessings to All. Spiritwalker

2009 BC Disability Games January 24, 2009 3:00 PM

Hello

Very good ideas. I am on the Accessability Committe for Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows and it is at most times very difficult to get changes made. It is just common sense but very few people have or use common sense.
