Welcome!Welcome to the sylvan night,
The jungle where our paws are light,
The rooftops where we stalk & prowl,
And listen to each other

Heya new members and to the Feline Forum of Kindred Cat Spirits!

Feel free to post and chat and exchange petitions for feline welfare , as well as share pics of your cat-friends, and rescues & even 'shape-shift' into a cat, & roleplay as you wish, in your spiritual cat-form! (As Thomas O'Malley in "The Aristocats" said, "Everybody wants to be a cat!")

The word is relaxed here in the feline jungle....

.....and enjoy.

Can cats be celebrated any other way?

Hi again, Betty, Spooky, you wonderful Feline Sistahs of mine..

I wonder who's new here...We had one new member join...I sent out a number of invites...whether or not they actually got sent is in question as Care2's infamous "Page Cannot Be Sent" whitescreen came up again after I clicked over 100 of my friends and sent it.

But to you both!

I haven't been around in a while.  Actually, I thought the group had closed (glad to see it hasn't!).  I'm Sandy S and my husband (George S) and I moved to a better apt. over the Christmas/New Year "holidays" and are still very exhausted.  We FINALLY got our internet back, so we're both trying to catch up here on Care2.  It's great to be back!

I am happy to find this group-thanks to you! My name is Lark, I live in Huntsville, AL and I am the happy companion to two feral offspring, fostered by our city Friends of Ferals society. They are wonderful-and so's this group!  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

ferals January 08, 2006 1:20 PM

Hi Sanday, just checking in to  let you know I am amember and here in Ojai we just finishes a very difficult and lenghtly job of rescuing, spaying and neutering aprroimately 50 feral cats from a hoarder. Many were semi-tame and have been adopted.  The others are at a feral rescue here in the valley. At least that part of overpopulation has been stopped.  Johnnie, the cat in the picture I reescued as a kitten from the hoarder. He wasn't supposed to live but thank God he pulled through and is now 2 years old and an indoor joy.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

HI, We have four previously feral furpersons living our house. They tolerate my fairly furless presence pretty well, cuddling me and accepting me as family!  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Hello, everyone! I'm new here (not sure if this is the most current welcome thread, but here I am!). I've got 5 cats, 3 of them are sons of a feral, 2 were dump jobs (1 definitely feral, 1 that HAD to have belonged to someone, but we had him checked for microchips and checked our neighborhood for his owners to no avail). My late husband and I looked after ferals in our neighborhood in Greensboro for several years (before there were any actual "Feral T-N-R" groups near us to help out!), and we loved every one of them. Some I was able to trap, tame and find homes for (couldn't afford to pay for neutering all of them then....we neutered the ones we kept as our own pets). Others were too wily to be trapped, so we fed them and fixed bedding for them on cold nights. When my husband passed away in 2004, I really would have gone nuts if it hadn't been for my furkids!!! They didn't know WHAT was wrong, but they knew Mommy was upset and they couldn't find Daddy anywhere!

Looking forward to getting to know you all and share info.
