I found this address at a government contact site for Egypt. I believe if we bombard relevent parties with as many voices (via email) as we possibly can, we will make an impact and save this lion's life. Trust me....if he doesn't do it at Giza, he'll murder the lion in a back yard or alley for kicks. We MUST get the lion out of this lunatics hands into safety! TY >^..^< Michelle

Dear Madames/Sirs:
I speak for animal advocates the world over, including those in Egypt, when I say that the planned murder of a caged lion by Al-Sayed al-Essawy on June 25th for the purpose of buttressing Egyptian tourism is utterly
appalling and needs to be stopped.
The said individual, who purchased the African lion from a breeder for $4,200, has been given the green light to "fight" the animal with a dagger and shield, then kill it with his "bare hands" in front of the Pyramids at Giza by the Ministry of the Interior.
This individual, who claims to be able to eat rivets, drag cars with hooks, jump tall
buildings and possess supernatural powers clearly lacks mental competence.
This lion is in grave danger and needs to be removed from the possession of this individual immediately. If the Ministry of the Interior thinks that allowing
Egyptian soldiers to murder endangered species for public spectacle will improve Egyptian tourism, they are sorely mistaken. Visitors to Egypt relish seeing artifacts of antiquity, not endangered animals being murdered by
lunatics.
Please intervene at once and ascertain the safety of the animal in this individual's possession. I urge you to demand the Ministry step in on behalf of the lion and stop
this senseless blood spectacle from moving forward.
Thanks for the post.
