Dear State Director Krischke, Sirs:
Following up on the Animal Welfare Institute's (AWI) letter, I'm writing also to request your immediate investigation and subsequent termination of Jamie P. Olson, as a Wildlife Services (W
employee, based in Douglas, Wyoming, for blatant acts of animal cruelty.
As you are no doubt aware of, you can view the following photos published by Mr. Olson:

As noted and sourced by AWI, they, and Project Coyote, firmly oppose the use of steel-jaw traps for the capture of any species given their inherent cruelty. I am further alarmed that instead of immediately killing the trapped animals, this WS employee inflicted even greater fear and pain on already-suffering animals caught in these brutal traps by allowing dogs to torment or attack the trapped animals as is depicted in several of the photographs.
This is unacceptable behavior for any trapper, but such wanton cruelty and callous disregard for the welfare of these animals is particularly egregious when done by a government employee and must not be tolerated..
Furthermore, another photograph posted on Olsons Twitter page titled Eagles (also shown at this link http://wg.convio.net/site/PageServer?pagename=priorities_wildlife_war_wildlife_kill_methods_trapping_abuse&autologin=true) demonstrates Olsons failure to check his traps in a timely manner and his disregard for the animals pain and suffering.
I also note that Mr. Olson appears to be the primary organizer of several coyote contest hunts in Montana and one scheduled for January 2013 in Dickson, North Dakota ( article dated October 15, 2012 about the MT contest and the attached flyer advertising the ND contest mentioned at below link).

Mr. Olsons mobile phone number is included in the article. If this is a WS-issued phone, Mr. Olsons use of it to organize and promote a coyote-killing contest is unacceptable and provides additional grounds for his termination.
As you know, WS is a highly controversial program responsible for killing millions of animals each year which is funded, in part, with taxpayer dollars.
While AWI, PC, and WS disagree about the merits of WS's lethal control practices, there should be no question that the intentional infliction of additional suffering on any trapped animal by a WS employee is entirely unacceptable and warrants immediate termination.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter and for expeditiously and decisively acting on these concerns. I look forward to receiving your response to this matter in writing by replying to my email address.

Now we need to be fast. On the Nov 7 they euthenized!!!!!
I thought that people were helping her more. But is not being the case.

Mi, dole potpisani, zahtjevamo od vlade Bosne i Hercegovine, opcinske uprave Istocni Stari Grad i osobito predsjednika opcine Boje Gasanovica da se sprovede istraga o desavanjima u sklonistu za napustene pse Hresa.
Posjedujemo pouzdane izvjestaje i izjave ocevidaca popracene fotografijama od 1-og Novembra o tome da je vise od 50 pasa drzano u nehumanim uslovima, bez dovoljno vode i hrane te bez veterinarske skrbi. Brojni psi su bili nagurani u male kaveze a desavalo se da su zivi i mrtvi psi u jednom kavezu. Primjecen je i pas sa otvorenom ozljedom koja nije veterinarski obra?ena. Nadalje, dobili smo dojave da se "mjesanci" dovedeni u skloniste ubijaju a rasni psi kradu od vlasnika i vracaju nakon sto vlasnici plate "otkupninu".
Slavisa Jovcic, direktor JKP Glog i upravitelj sklonista Hresa je izjavio da mu je opcina trebala isplatiti 130.000 KM za troskove sklonista ali najveci dio sredstava nikada nije uplacen. Iy tog rayloga, kako tvrdi Slavisa Jovcic, oni nisu u stanju da vode neophodnu brigu o psima. Ipak, obecao je suradnju sa aktivistima tej je rekao da bi volio da mu se pomogne sa hranjenjem i brigom o psima.
3. Novembra aktivisti su otisli u drugu posjetu posto su pronasli domove za 10 pasa ali 90% pasa koji su tu bili prethodno su nestali! Radnik je izjavio kako su pobijeni i ukopani na lokalnoj deponiji otpada. Fotografije napravljene na ovaj dan svjedoce o tome da je prihvatiliste bilo gotovo potpuno prazno. Aktivisti su otisli jer su se uplasili za svoju sigurnost ali su uspjeli da spase 2 odrasla psa i sedam stenaca.
Zahtjevamo da se sprovede opsezna istraga i da se sprovedu zakonske obaveze u skladu sa zakonom o Zastiti i dobrobiti zivotinja. Mi necemo obustaviti ovaj proces dok se ne pruze svi relevantni odgovori. Sve me?unarodne organizacije za zastitu i dobrobit zivotinja su obavjestene ili ce uskoro biti obavjestene o strahotama koje se desavaju u ovom "prihvatilistu".
Dalje, zahtjevamo da opcina pod hitno osigura sredstva za prikladnu brigu o svim preostalim zivotinjama u sklonistu. Mora se uvesti moderna praksa upravljanja sklonistem, osigurati hrana i voda te sanitarni uslovi, obezbjediti osoblje za brigu o psima a osobito osigurati veterinarski nadzor za vrijeme boravka pasa u sklonistu. Takodjer je potrebno ziti napor da se na?u novi vlasnici za pse u mjeri koliko je to moguce.
Cijela ova situacija je zainteresirala siroku javnost i ocekujemo da se pravni sistem BiH kao i vlast povinuju EU standardima u svezi zastite i dobrobiti zivotinja te da primjene vec postojece zakone koji su potpuno uskla?eni sa EU normama.

We have reliable reports and eyewitness accounts substa
ntiated by photographs from November 1st that over 50 dogs were being kept in inhumane conditions, without adequate food or water or veterinary treatment, that numerous dogs were kept in tiny cages, that dead dogs were left amongst living dogs, that dogs had open, untended wounds. Furthermore, there were reports that any non-purebred dog caught by the shelter was killed, and that purebred dogs were stolen from owners and only released to the owner if a ransom was paid.
Slavisa Jovcic, the director of the shelter and director of Glog, the company that built the shelter, stated that he was promised 130 000 KM from the municipalities for the shelter, but the full amount of the money was never paid by the municipality and therefore Slavisa Jovcic said he could not ensure the care of the dogs. However he promised cooperation with the activists, said he was willing to help them feed and care for the dogs.
On November 3rd, a second visit to the shelter was paid by animal welfare activists as they had found homes for 10 dogs. But 90% of the dogs in the shelter had disappeared. Workers from the shelter stated that dogs had been killed on November 2nd and buried in a garbage dump. Photographs taken by activists on November 3rd show the shelter as almost entirely empty. Activists left as they feared for their lives, but managed to rescue two adult dogs and five puppies.
We demand that a full investigation is undertaken, that any illegal actions be dealt with to the full extent of the law. We will not cease our enquiries until answers are provided. All international animal welfare organisations either have been or will be contacted about this atrocity.
We further demand that the municipality ensures that the facility is immediately provided with proper management and funds to care for any remaining dogs. Modern practices must be implemented, giving food and fresh water and the facility be must kept sanitary and properly staffed with veterinary professionals so the animals are cared for and, ultimately, caring homes need to be found for the dogs.
This situation has sparked a global outcry and we look to the Bosnian and Herzegovinan justice system and authorities to conform with EU standards regarding animal welfare, and to apply the law that was passed in Bosnia Herzegovina incorporating these EU standards.

Title: Stop the horrific dog meat trade in S. Korea
Dear Minister Kwang-Shik Choe:
I am extremely upset about the torture and consumption of companion animals in South Korea.
With the ubiquity of social medias, everyday we are seeing shocking and heartbreaking images and videos of innocent dogs being tortured and killed in your country. This is one of them:http://mogsaway.blogspot.com/2011/08/dogs-of-chilseong.html
Even though Korea has established an Animal Protection Law for companion animals, dogs are still beaten, hung, electrocuted, and treated brutally by farmers and slaughters. Also, dogs and cats are still being beaten and boiled alive for so-called elixirs, which do not have medical properties except in the minds of ignorant and gullible customers.
These practices have no place in the modern world. Other Asian countries have banned the eating of dog meat and the cruel industry that goes with it, such as Taiwan and the Philippines. Why does Korea persist in lagging behind these countries and other civilized societies?
It’s the responsibility of the Korean government to once and for all end the cruel dog meat and cat medicine industries in Korea. It is time to dismiss the childish myths and propaganda surrounding these industries and their vile products. It is time to leave behind backward and unnecessary traditions.
And it is time for Korea to start taking animal welfare seriously and showing that it really does have a compassionate and ethical society. That means it is time for the Korean government to start better educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering, about not abandoning pets, and about treating animals in a proper manner.
Until these things are done, Korea’s reputation in the international community will continue to suffer. Its citizens will continue to face shame and embarrassment. And Korea will continue to be regarded as “third world,” despite its modernization and attempts at globalized thinking.

Ovim putem Vas obaveštavam da je u martu 2010. godine stupio na snagu Zakon o divljači I lovštvu, koji u svom članu 29. propisuje da se psi i mačke bez vlasnika odnosno kontrole vlasnika ako predstavljaju neposrednu opasnost po divljač, mogu pod propisanim uslovima bez posebne dozvole ukloniti iz lovišta a Ministar bliže odredjuje uslove i način uklanjanja ovih životinja iz lovišta.
Ministar nije doneo podzakonski akt kojim bi bliže uredio način uklanjanja napuštenih pasa i mačaka iz lovišta, a navedeni podzakonski akt svakako mora biti u saglasnosti sa Zakonom o dobrobiti životinja koji najstrožije zabranjuje ubijanje životinje bez obzira de se ona nalazila, pa se životinje iz lovišta mogu ukloniti samo na način koji je predviđen zakonom a to je prikupljanje od strane ovlašćene službe i njihovo smeštanje u prihvatilišta.
Kako je donošenjem ovog Zakona prestao da važi stari Zakon o lovstvu po kom je bio dozvoljen odstrel napuštenih pasa i mačaka ukoliko se nalaze u lovištu, to svako ubistvo psa i mačke predstavlja krivično delo .
Stoga kako je najavljen odstrel pasa i mačaka u lovištu, obaveštavamo vas da je isti najstrožije zabranjen da ćemo preduzeti sve mere da sprečimo izvršenje krivičnih dela koja ste najavili , kao i da ukoliko dodje do ubijanja napuštenih životinja od strane članova Lovačkog saveza protiv istih podnećemo krivične i druge prijave. Navedeni clan 17 stav 3 Zakona o dobrobiti životinja reguliše samo pitanje lica ovlašćenih za lišenje životinja života, a nikako načina i uslova pod kojim se mogu lisiti zivota , te je pozivanje na ovaj clan zakona po pitanju odstrela napustenih pasa i macaka u lovistu neosnovano, posebno u situaciji kada napušteni psi i macke ne predstavljaju pretnju po bezbednost ljudi i drugih životinja. Članom 15 Zakona o dobrobiti životinja su regulisani na jasan nacin uslovi , tj slucajevi u kojima se mogu lisiti zivota zivotinje , a odstrel pasa i macaka sigurno nije predvidjen ni jednom od navedenih tacaka.
