Jean, Jean, roses are red All the leaves have gone green And the clouds are so low You can touch them, and so Come out to the meadow, Jean
Jean, Jean, you're young and alive Come out of your half-dreamed dream And run, if you will, to the top of the hill Open your arms, bonnie Jean
Till the sheep in the valley come home my way Till the stars fall around me and find me alone When the sun comes a-singin' I'll still be waitin'
For Jean, Jean, roses are red And all of the leaves have gone green While the hills are ablaze with the moon's yellow haze Come into my arms, bonnie Jean
(Jean, Jean) Jean, you're young and alive!! Come out of your half-dreamed dream And run, if you will to the top of the hill Come into my arms, bonnie Jean
Daisy Bell" is a popular song whose lyrics ("Daisy, Daisy/Give me your answer do/I'm half crazy/all for the love of you" as well as the line "...a bicycle built for two") are considerably better known than the song's actual title.
History:
Harry Dacre brought his bicycle with him on the ship from England. He was unpleasantly surprised to learn from the U.S. Customs agent that he would have to pay duty on it. When Dacre later told a friend (songwriter William Jerome) about his indignation at having to pay duty on his bicycle, his friend replied that he was lucky that he had not brought a "bicycle built for two." This phrase started the songwriter along the train of thought that led to "Daisy Bell".
Harry Dacre (1860 - 1922) was an English songwriter. Dacre wrote and composed the song "Daisy Bell" ( "A Bicycle Built for Two") in 1892.
May the good Lord be with you Down every road you roam And may sunshine and happiness Surround you when youre far from home And may you grow to be proud Dignified and true And do unto others As youd have done to you Be courageous and be brave And in my heart you'll always stay Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young
May good fortune be with you May your guiding light be strong Build a stairway to heaven With a prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain And in my heart you will remain Forever young, forever young Forever young, forever young Forever young Forever young
And when you finally fly away Ill be hoping that I served you well For all the wisdom of a lifetime No one can ever tell
But whatever road you choose Im right behind you, win or lose Forever young, forever young Forever young ,forever young Forever young, forever young For, forever young, forever young
The gospel train is a comin' I hear it yes at hand I hear the car was movin' And a rumblin' through the land Oh get on board, get on board, get on board There's room for many a more
I hear the bell and twinkle A coming around the curve She's playing all her steaming power And straining every nerve Oh get on board, get on board, get on board There's room for many a more
The fare is cheap and all can go The rich and poor are there No second class on board this train No difference in the fare Oh get on board, get on board, get on board There's room for many a more
She's there and now the station Or better don't be late But come and get your ticket And be ready for this train Oh get on board, get on board, get on board There's room for many a more
Oh get on board, get on board, get on board Little children There's room for many a more
Although never officially credited, several sources have documented that Dennis Wilson of The Beach Boys was a co-writer of the song. According to Wilson's biographer, Jon Stebbins, Wilson claimed that he and Preston spontaneously collaborated on the words to the song at a party. Wilson sang the song as an encore at his shows from intermittently between 1975-1983.
You are so beautiful To me You are so beautiful To me Can't you see You're everything I hoped for You're everything I need You are so beautiful To me
You are so wonderful To me You are so wonderful To me Can't you see You're everything I hoped for You're everything I need You are so wonderful To me
You are so beautiful To me You are so beautiful To me Can't you see You're everything I hoped for You're everything I need You are so beautiful To me
Preston's original version first appeared on his 1974 album The Kids and Me. Cocker's producer, Jim Price created a slowed-down arrangement for Cocker's version, which first appeared on the album I Can Stand a Little Rain (released later in 1974). Released as a single, this Joe Cocker version reached #5 on the 1975 Billboard pop single charts and helped the album become a hit.
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder, You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger, May you never take one single breath for granted, GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed, I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean, Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens, Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance, And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance.
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance, Never settle for the path of least resistance Livin' might mean takin' chances but they're worth takin', Lovin' might be a mistake but it's worth makin', Don't let some hell bent heart leave you bitter, When you come close to sellin' out reconsider, Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance, And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance....I hope you dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance. (Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along, Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone.)
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean, Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens, Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance, And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
Dance....I hope you dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance. I hope you dance....I hope you dance.. (Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder where those years have gone)

Left a good job in the city, Workin for the man evry night and day, And I never lost one minute of sleepin, Worryin bout the way things might have been.
Chorus: Big wheel keep on turnin, Proud mary keep on burnin, Rollin, rollin, rollin on the river.
Cleaned a lot of plates in memphis, Pumped a lot of pain down in new orleans, But I never saw the good side of the city, til I hitched a ride on a river boat queen.
Chorus
Rollin, rollin, rollin on the river.
If you come down to the river, Bet you gonna find some people who live. You dont have to worry cause you have no money, People on the river are happy to give.
Chorus
Rollin, rollin, rollin on the river. Rollin, rollin, rollin on the river.

"He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" is a song by The Hollies. Becoming one of their biggest hits, "He Ain't Heavy" became one of the most defining and enduring tunes of the 1960s. It has also become an anthem for brotherhood.
The road is long With many a winding turn That leads us to who knows where Who knows where But I'm strong Strong enough to carry him He ain't heavy, he's my brother
So on we go
His welfare is of my concern No burden is he to bear We'll get there
For I know He would not encumber me He ain't heavy, he's my brother
If I'm laden at all I'm laden with sadness That everyone's heart Isn't filled with the gladness Of love for one another
It's a long, long road From which there is no return While we're on the way to there Why not share
And the load Doesn't weigh me down at all He ain't heavy he's my brother

No time for the movie show, TV, or the radio Gotta write a symphony, end it with some poetry Tie them with a ribbon made of gold and give them to Cindy Today is Cindy's birthday
No time for geometry, 'rithmetic, or history Gotta write a song from my heart, then pick the greatest work of art Tie them with a ribbon made of gold and give them to Cindy Today is Cindy's birthday
No time to do the Twist, don't mind all the things I miss Gotta write a melody, write it from the heart of me Tie it with a ribbon made of gold and give it to Cindy Today is Cindy's birthday
Come and sing a simple song of freedom Sing it like you've never sung before Let it fill the air Tell the people everywhere We, the people here, don't want a war
Hey there, Mister Black Man can you hear me? I don't want your diamonds or your game I do want to be someone known to you as me and I will bet my life you want the same
Come and sing a simple song of freedom Sing it like you've never sung before Let it fill the air Tell the people everywhere We, the people here, don't want a war
Seven hundred million are enlisted Most of what you read, most of what you read, is made of lies But speaking one to one, ain't it everybody's sun To wake to in the morning when we rise?
Come and sing a simple song of freedom Sing it like you've never sung, never sung, before Let it fill the air Tell the people everywhere We, the people here, don't want a war
No doubt some folks enjoy doin' battle Like presidents, prime ministers and kings So let's all build them shelves so they can fight among themselves and leave us be those who want to sing
Come and sing a simple song of freedom Sing it like you've never, ever, sung before Let it fill the air Tell the people everywhere We, the people here, don't want a war
Come and sing a simple song of freedom Sing it like you've never, ever, sung before Speaking one to one Ain't it everybody's sun To wake to in the morning when we rise Speaking one to one Ain't it everybody's sun To wake to in the morning when we rise
Curtis Lee (born 1941, Yuma, Arizona, U.S.) is an American singer of the early 1960s.
In the UK, "Pretty Little Angel Eyes" was a minor hit record, going no higher than 47 in 1961. Lee began his recording career in 1959, and the following year was signed by Dunes Records. Handsome and photogenic, Lee had a vocal approach close to the teen idols of the period. Spector's genius with the productions, besides his deft handling of the instrumental support, was to provide fills with strong doo-wop riffing from an R&B vocal group, the Halos, to produce two classic rock 'n' roll tunes. After Spector fell out with Dunes in 1961, Lee never had another hit although he made some highly regarded "blue-eyed soul" records in the late 60s.
Pretty little angel eyes, Pretty little angel eyes, Pretty little angel, Pretty little angel, Pretty little, pretty little, pretty little angel.
Pretty little little little angel eyes.
Angel eyes, I really love you so, Angel eyes, I'll never let you go, Because I love you, my darling angel eyes.
Pretty little little little angel eyes.
Angel eyes, you are so good to me, And when I'm in your arms, it feels so heavenly, You know I love you, my darling angel eyes.
I know you were sent from, heaven above, To fill my life with your wonderful love, I know we will be happy for eternity, Cause I know-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow that our life is real.
Angel eyes, I really love you so, Angel eyes, I'll never let you go Because I love you, my darling angel eyes.
Pretty little angel eyes, Pretty little angel eyes, Pretty little angel, Pretty little angel Pretty little, pretty little, pretty little angel.
Angel eyes, I really love you so, Angel eyes, I'll never let you go, Because I love you, my darling angel eyes.
Pretty little little little angel eyes.
