Eph 5:11. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].

no fellowship with them,

that means not hanging out with them

for what spirits you accept into yourself or arround you WILL influence you and your life!

It goes deeper than that, I went to a church that had has many have the spirit of pride and arrogance leading the music, it was not by the spirit by pure performance, like so many, I warned the minister that if he allowed pride and arrogance to lead out in the music that is allowing Satan to rule in your religion, the minister pleaded with me to join the music, I said only for a little while to help him, because if you put yourself under the leadership of arrogance and pride the first spirit that you will be tempted to take on is the spirit of resentment,

resenting how they talk to you and others resenting attitude etc, if you put yourself under negative spirits the only thing you will reap is negativity, unless like I did only go because the Lord sent you for a reason and only for a season, that church closed down is no more,

we are not dealing with flesh and blood but spirits so try the spirits and use your intuitive to know what you are dealing with,

if you know your enemy and know what there about you cannot be decieved,

it is written "my people perish though lack of knowledge"

that is spiritual dicernment

'Guilt by Association' is similar to transference of Karma which says, that between close friends, near and dear ones, it is possible to share the results of noble deeds or poor deeds with one another. And even as we may share learning, understanding and Wisdom with one another, so also we are equally affected by poor deeds, hatred, envy when it becomes expressed in the company we keep, in the friendships we cultivate by choice. A good friend may uplift one through suggestion, through good acts, whereas a hateful one will lead us astray, and hatred, envy, prejudice may find way into our minds if we are not on guard.

All life is a struggle, and we work unceasingly to keep good health - of mind and body. It is in our interest to choose friends from whom we may benefit, who shed light and not shadows on us.

Thank you all for your comments.  I never expected such a response when I wrote the blog.

Although the title was perhaps rather negative, it is important to consider the converse idea -- worthiness by association, if you will -- good friends lift us up and we form symbiotic relationships with them in which all involved are better off for the partnership.  We become more than the sum of our separate parts.

But the blog came about from a negative experience, not a positive one, unfortunately.

I have learned the hard way that there are people we are better off not associating with.  Some individuals who I thought were my friends have proven their friendship unworthy.  That is not an easy thing to say.

A wise woman named Mary Baker Eddy once said that (and I paraphrase) we should never go into an immoral atmosphere except in the attempt to purify it.  Jesus advised against casting our pearls before swine.  They were right...

I went to a church before wear I felt.The singers were to proud.Thy could Reilly sing great and thy traveled all over and now I notice thy have stoped.

the Lord uses the simplest people and things to do mighty works,

A lot of the people in music leadership are very good but that doesnt mean they are by the Spirit,

the Lord doesnt need Good or a performance He wants relationship and dedication,

and He will make it good, good enought to save souls or set the captive free,
