The prophetic destiny of the unprofitable servant
The occupant of the Oval Office told Americans in his first election campaign that his goal was to "remake" America. Certainly, he is doing exactly as he said. It appears that he has enough critical mass politically to do so. In the first four years, we saw this remake in action. Debt increased exponentially. Government jobs and the expansion of government powers were increased. Those receiving welfare and food stamps reached record levels. People were made more beholden to government through their participation in government programs or by the national debt where each citizen's share eventually would reach more than $50,000. Now, in full motion, what does this mean for the Christian citizen?
Like any second term president, there are shifts in cabinet and sub-cabinet personnel. In the case of this president, these shifts are resulting in more extreme and radical appointments. Take the case of those who are being considered for secretaries of Defense and Treasury. One believes that the US should not have nuclear weapons, but that radical Islamic states should. The other is a committed socialist in action and deed, if not on record. This administration has indicated it wants to undermine the 2nd Amendment and reform immigration to allow non-citizens the same treatment and rights as citizens. Translated: more government growth and dependency. The White House is openly embracing enemies of America.
For example, Investors Business Daily reports: the respected Egyptian magazine Rose al-Youssef, founded in 1925, has identified at least six Brotherhood-tied agents who have turned the White House "from a position hostile to Islamic groups and organizations in the world to the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood," an Egyptian-based jihadist movement that supports Hamas and al-Qaida." The president "backed the Brotherhood's takeover of Egypt and has courted its front groups in America. Secret Service records show their representatives making hundreds of visits to the White House since 2009."
I have been thinking a lot about how many say that Christians should not be involved in government or politics. Nearly every landmark founding document of this country cites the God of the Bible as the originator of this blessing of America. I personally believe that the Lord blessed this nation and set it aside to bring the blessing of Christ to the world. As stewards of this blessing, what is our reward for not only allowing, but actively participating by our inaction in its remaking as a socialist humanist nation? I am reminded of the parable of the talents where the one servant hid his rather than multiplying it. Yeshua Jesus said in Matthew 25:30, "And cast ye the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." I'm just saying...
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
