Special alert for Texans who are against 'smart' meters (you might want to do the same in your state) - time for hearing: 2:00 pm
On March 19, 2013, I sent a letter to our state attorney general, Greg Abbott, to open a criminal investigation against the energy companies, the three PUC Commissioners and TDSPs (ONCOR, CenterPoint, etc). The energy companies and TDSPs must be held accountable in every legal way possible. Along with the letter, I included eight of the most powerful exhibits against 'smart' meters along with CVs for the authors.
Abbott's office signed for it on March 21st. My letter was polite, but firm about the known health risks that have been so cavalierly ignored by the PUC, the energy companies and TDSPs.
It's rare for me to say anything positive about any politician, but I have always felt Greg Abbott is a stand up guy who does believe in his oath of office. Whether or not he will open a criminal investigation, I don't know. What I do know is our chances of having his office undertake one will be greatly enhanced if his office gets thousands of letters asking him to support my request to open a criminal investigation.
I would ask Texans to write a short letter to Abbott in support of opening a criminal investigation. Please network and spread the word.
Every letter will count in showing Abbott a lot of Texans are very upset about the energy companies and TDSPs installing new technology on our homes, businesses and hospitals knowing there is a large voice out there by doctors and scientists who have given their expert, qualified opinion that those meters are dangerous. Their actions are criminal because they have endangered the general public. The PUC commissioners are culpable as well.
Please make it snail mail. Offices like the AG are flooded with email every day. Calling on the phone gets you a couple of minutes with a staff member who forgets who you are when the next call comes in. Snail mail is something tangible that can't be ignored -- especially if there are thousands of them.
