need to thank the Lord this morning that Notah's employee went with  him last night and assumed al responisibility for the bail and his return to trial.  That is a load off Notah's mind.

You might also remember the guy in prayer.  He was picked up for a speeding violation and he admits he was speeding, but they also chared him with no registration and insurance and DUI. those two charges were bogus.  he was driving his aunt's truck which has registration and insurance, but the cop wouldn't let him look through the glove box to find it.  Nor was he drunk at all.

So,  I'm sure he would appreciate you concern...

It's scary how police can charge you with whatever they want and don't give you a chance to produce evidence.    I hope Notah's employee makes out okay with the bogus charges and they are proved false.

I want to sing praises to the Lord.....I thought I lost my checkbook but it was found today.  What a load off my mind since I have all kinds of bill pays set up online to pay my bills and the thought of cancelling and changing put the fear in me.  Thank you, Jesus!

I want to thank and praise the Lord tonight for touching Thain, Notah's family pup.  Thain is a five-month old German Shepherd pup who stuck his nose under the same rock as a rattlesnake.  He was bitten on a family hike Sunday afternoon.

Notah made it from the middle of the desert to the Vet in Albuquerque in less than an hour.  It is usually nearly an hour just from Belen to Albuquerque,  They were in the middle of the desert and had to go back to Belen, then into Albuquerque.  Heaven knows what speed limits they broke!

The wonderful news is that Thain is OK.  He spent the night at the vets and came home today.  Isn't that wonderful,  He was bitten on the upper lip by a rattlesnake!  And he is  not only still alive  but doing wel!  Don't we have a wonderful Lord!

Here a couple pictures of him at the vet.   Kerra called him "Spuds McKenzie"  lol

      thain       thain

And here he is as he normally is.

            thain

      Thank the Lord with me!

Thain continues to improve.  I'm not going to keep boring you with pictures you aren't interested in...

Well maybe just one...

     thain

Just look at that sad face.  But I am thanking the Lord he is still alive and improving...

All of the pictures are on Notah's photobucket album if you want to see them. http://s113.photobucket.com/albums/n240/nhherp/

prayer & praise September 15, 2009 6:22 AM

I am so glad Thain is doing well. What a wonderful proof of God's love! I will pray for Notah. When my son was a teenager he was "into" gangs and very bad stuff. I clung to a phrase from Isaiah" "...great shall be the peace of your children." At one point he even had a police tail all the time, now he is a Christian, a very solid citizen and a terrific father. Another nugget for unceasing prayer is the phrase, "The government shall be upon His shoulder."

Praise the Lord that Thain is doing okay, Vondi!!  Isn't God wonderful?   I love all the pics of the pup and boy his face was swollen wasn't it?   He is a beautiful dog.

Minna, praise the Lord that your son turned his life around; what joy and peace for you to know that he is now one of God's children.

Vondi, please let Notah and Kerra know that we are very happy and thankful to the Lord that He took care of Thain!
I can't hardly imagine the suspense they were on, as he was getting better and better.
May he heal completely!
Thank you Lord!

Mina, thanks for sharing about your son. The Lord is merciful and He gives us opportunity after opportunity to come to Him! Thanks God for watching and waiting on Mina's son.

I have a prayer request for my mom.  First off, my mom & I haven't spoken to each other in 19 years now.  My father & sister called me to inform me that she had an operation on Wednesday and then on Friday, she began bleeding internally.  They had to operate again and the doctors believe they were able to fix it.  As of yesterday, they had taken the breathing tube out but she still has to wear the oxygen mask.  She's responsive and my sister, dad & son have been there with her.  Keep in mind, I live over 1500 miles away from her and my family.  I'm not close to my family and it's been hard for I feel like my immediate family are strangers to me.  My dad's health isn't the greatest either. So, if you could keep my family in your prayers, I'd greatly appreciate it.  I have forgiven my mom for the things that happened to me as a child, but my mom I don't think is ready to let go & forgive yet.  My mom I'm not sure is a Christian.  So, I'm really emotional right now.  Anyway... thanks for your prayers dear friends.  Love, Kathryn

It's horrible when satan wins and tear families apart.
I'm praying for your mom Kat, and for the whole situation.
I think even if you can not go there, because it's to far. You can reconcile with your mom (maybe your sis can get a laptop with a webcam, or even over the phone).
I know it's hard for you, just keep thinking what should you do as a child of God now.
Please keep us updated on this.
Prayers for you, and them.

Please say a prayer for my sister's daughter who is in the emergency room right now peeing pure blood. She recently had a stent put in, and this is what happened this afternoon. They have her on percocets, and tell her she will need pain management all her life.

 October 02, 2009 2:34 PM

Kathryn, I said a prayer for your Mom, and the rest of your family that you can come together once again. If  your Mother is not ready to let things go, then there is nothing you can do about that, but on your side, there is something you can do for yourself, and something to also please God.

Write a letter, and send it to her or a sibling to read it to her while she is in the hospital. This could actually uplift and make her well too. Many times people hold things in, and it makes them sick, and God says not to come to him if you have a problem with your brother or other family member. He says to make peace first. You might not get the response you hope to get, but you will say your peace, and try. You will also do as the Father wants you to do. You might be pleasantly surprised. If not, you will have a burden lifted from you.

For Belle's niece

 [ send green star]

 October 03, 2009 10:35 AM

Thank the Lord for healing my contrary little dog Gabriel.

The Lord is teaching us a lesson today.  I posted the other night how Gable had been badly bitten by the neighbor dog.  I held him and prayed for him all Thursday evening.   Yesterday, he was very nearly himself.  Today he is fine.  Thank the Lord.

We need to remember that we are much more important to God than a little dog.  Let's pray that those in need of the Lord's help will draw up close to God and be everything He desires of them.  That is the key.

If God can heal a little black and white dog, he can certainly heal a person.  Gable is in exactly the place God desires him to be.  Let's pray that those who need help will also step into the the spiritual place where God desires them to be.

Dona-belle, your niece is in my prayers.  Her condition sounds critical. I pray she is in good hands at the hospital. I don't know if she is a little girl or a grown woman, but may God deal with her heart in any case.

Vondi, I'm happpy to hear about Gable's recovery. What a scary moment! I used to get scared when Matt and Chelsea fought badly. I still don't get how the other dog got Gable through the fence; the other dog may have hurt his jaw, or lips or teeth, maybe.
Anyway, now I say with you:Thanks God, for keeping an eye on those we love! Thank you God!

Vondi,

I am sorry to hear about your dog getting bitten. Jimmy was telling me about a lady who opened her door to shew away 5 raccoons, and they all attacked her biting her all over.

Dana is getting operated on tomorrow morning, She needs prayers. She has a daughter who is about 8 or 9. Dana is in her late 30's, and has all kinds of problems like her Mom, my sister next to me. My sister spent her life trying to eat healthy, no smoking or drinking, and healthy foods. BOY was that a mistake.

Vondi, I keep praying for one of my cats to have his paw shrunk, and yet I get no answer. No point in arguing either as God's way is perfect, even though there are time I do not understand WHY I can't get the help I need.  It hurts me more than it hurts him, because I am MOM.

 October 06, 2009 8:05 AM

Donna, please let us know how Dana's surgery goes. I'll be praying for her along the day.

Hope your kitty also heals his paw. Don't over worry, God knows exactly what's in there.

Gable was bitten at the back fence. We have a privacy fence all around the yard except at the back. There are tall beautiful pines and juniper trees back there and we didn't wnt to hid them, so Michael put in that black wrought iron bar fence that you see around fancy old houses.  the bars are about four inches apart.  Either Gable stuck his head through, or the dog was biting around the bars.  When Rachael saw them, the big dog had his nose and teeth between the bars.  But dingy Gable could just as well had his head sticking out.  At least he is pretty well healed.  There is a slight swelling under his jaw and a big purply-black place where the blood pooled under the skin at the base of his throat.

What is wrong with the cat's foot?

Prayers being said for Donna Belle's neice, for Dana's surgery and for her neighbor that was bit by raccoons.  Also for your cat with the paw problem.

Vondi, I am also praying for Gable's complete recovery and Kathryn I am continuing to pray for you and your mom.

I am also giving praises to God for all that He does and prayers that He answers.

Thank you everyone,

I did not hear how Dana's surgery went, and Vondi, the paw might have a tumor under it. When I took him to the vets a couple of months ago, the vet had to cut the claw out of his pad. The pad raised up, and the vet even said it is odd for a claw to grow that long in an outside cat. It went through his pad, but the pad is raised up.  He said he can declaw it. OR, I can keep trimming the claw. I never dreamed it would be this hard to hold his leg to trim, and so far, I have not been able to do it.  I pray about it all the time.

Another cat is tearing up his neck. I finally got a hold of him and put a glob of bag balm on it, and it seemed to help some, but he is back to running from me.

As you are aware, Dana was operated on Oct. 6th and came home from the hospital yesterday, Oct. 7th.  The surgeon was not unable to remove the calcification in her right kidney, which was the original reason she was operated on. And the surgeon put another utereric stent in her.  Her nerve pain which is severe, we believe is the pinching and/or damage of a nerve which took place while the stent was being put in.  Surgeon denies it. However, Dana did get a chance to read her nerve testing results and the nerve that is tweeting is the L7 through L9 which is right in the location of her utereric stent.  Dana's nurse told her to not move around too much when she goes home and until the stent is remove because the new stent might cause more damage. Hopefully when the stent is remove (in possibly a week) the nerves will open up and heal themselves. Donna, do thank everyone for their prayers. God Bless. Love, Lori

I have a serious request for Nic, my friend's six year old.  Remember I've talked about him before because he was born at only 25 weeks and spent a couple months in the NICU.  He is okay now except for weak lungs.

Nic is running a fever now of 102 (with tylenol every four hours!) and his lungs are congested.  I talked to dianne just a couple minutes ago.  She was waiting on a call from their doctor about Nic.  While we were talking the doctor called and told them to take Nic to the hospital and she would phone instructions ahead....It may be pneumonia, which for Nic is serious enough, but they have one confirmed case of swine flu in Nic's school and she is taking no chances.

So please pray for him.

 October 14, 2009 1:28 PM

I got an email from Donna-belle just a bit ago.  She really needs our prayers.  Last night she took a nasty fall in either twisted her ankle badly or perhaps even broke it.

She was going down a couple steps to her porch (I believe) and her foot slid off the step. She said that her ankle swelled immediately and that is usually a sign that something is broken.  Twisted ankles take a little bit to swell.   (She was wearing those thong sandals.  I  think they should be OUTLAWED.  I've known so many people who were badly hurt because of them)  Anyway, her foot slid and then she slid down the steps and hit her back as she fell.  Now she can hardly walk. Jimmy tried to help her by doing the early morning feeding, but she still has to do the rest.  Now she is trying to hobble around and she can't.  She is worrying about her house chores too.  the cat boxes need scooping a couple times a day too,

She hasn't gone to a doctor because she cannot afford it at all.  I mean, not at all.  And here's the stupid part--THEY MAKE TOO MUCH  MONEY TO QUALIFY FOR HELP.  How stupidi is that.
Anyway, let's really pray for her.

prayer request for sister October 15, 2009 8:48 AM

I am asking prayer for my sister Brenda. She has severe cataracts. They are so bad,she is currently blind in her left eye and can barely see out of the right eye. She is having eye surgery on Oct 20 at 1230pm to remove the cataracts from her left eye. She will have the right eye done about 3 weeks later. Please pray the surgeries go well and Brenda's vision is restored.

 October 16, 2009 11:41 AM

First I have praise, then I'll have prayer again.

Right off the top,  of course, I praise the Lord for bringing Gable home safely home to me. I have to think that He has a reason for everything He allows to happen to us.  Thank the Lord, Gabe is home safe.

Also. Donna reports that although her foot still hurts pretty bad, she is able to walk on it and her back is better too.  I thank the Lord for that too.

Now for the worrisome thing.  Nic, who I requested prayer for a couple days ago was placed in quarantine in the hospital last night. He has definitely tested positive for the regular flu virus and they are waiting for the results on the swine flu test

My friend Dianne is in a panic.  This had been her nightmare ever since school stated, because the school had a very cavalier attitude toward Nic's pulmonary sensitivity.  The flu is a dangerous situation, but swine flu is critical.

Anway, now he is in isolation quarantine and has Iv and whopping antibiotics.  I guess there is a specific anitbiotic or antiviral or some kind of meds for the swine flu, but they don't want to start it if he doesn't have swine flu...

Please pray for him still.  Maybe the Lord answered prayer for Gable because he knew my faith needed increased for this..

Kathryn A....

sorry I did not see this sooner.  I hope and will pray that by now, your mother has had some healing and resolution to her medical situation.

I also understand about the family "thing", as I am aware of some of your struggles, because they are my struggles as well.  Just pray for God to touch hearts, to open them and heal them of all wounds.  Your heart included.  I lift you up my sister.

Ildi,

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. It is just horrible to lose a Mother. I went through it, and have never been the same. I am so pleased to hear that your step father encouraged you to go back to bible study. That is fantastic !, and welcome to the group.

I need prayers for my brother Skip again. With all that is wrong with him, he went and tried to push my Nephews motorcycle and trailor, and they fell on him pinning him down. He now has hematomas up and down his arms and legs and groin. He was on the blood thinner for his heart. So, blood is everywhere in him and he is all bruised from head to toe.  In very pain too, and is on a pain killer stronger than Morphine, plus Morphine and percocets. He is in the hospital now, and have trouble with the nurse as usual.

Here is the latest news. They did not take good care of his pain management, and he called my youngest sister to pick him up and take him home. My other sister said he had 2 heart attacks this past weekend, but they wanted to make that bleeding stop before operating. He might have needed a new stent or even open heart surgery, but now he is home, and complaining to my youngest sister that maybe he shouldn't have left the hospital, as now he is all alone.

Now for the praise the Lord news.

We have not had heating oil as of yet but even though the weather has been in the 40's outside, it has been in the low 60's in here. That is with  the air rushing in through the front door from the cats using it as a scratching post. They made it bow where you close it.

Jimmy brought in  a newspaper clipping that said our township has some extra money for those in need of fuel oil. First come first serve ! Praise the Lord, as he sent 150 gallons of oil for us.

Our tank has been bone dry since last year. We have had a little kerosene heat here and there. The Lord took good care of us !

Praise the Lord !

Donna, I'm sorry about Skip. Sounds like your sister could use prayer too. I'll have her in mind. At the end she is the one dealing with Skip now.
I didn't understan if he is having the surgery after all?

I want to thank God, because we are back home now.
Thanks God for watching over us during our mini trip, and for giving us the opportunity to live very nice moments in this trip.
I pray that Vondi's family is under You care always, and that You will meet every need in that house.
Keep R&M under Your care too, just as You do it with Vondi.
Thanks again Jesus, in Your name I pray. AMEN.

Donna, is your heater working by now? I've been thinking about you.

Please hep me pray today.
My great-grand-mother fell, and she is hospitalized now. We'll go see her tonight at the hospital (in the US side). She has a blood clot in her head (not sure if in the brain), but she is pretty delicate by now. She is 92 years old, and the doctors refuse to have surgery on her, so they are hoping the meds will help dissolve the clot.
She is in advance stage of Alzheimer too, she does not recognize anybody by now.
Thanks in advance for your prayers.

Thanks so much for your prayers Donna and Vicky.
Mama Pita is still in the hospital, we were told yesterday that she also broke some ribs when she fell.
I'll give you updates the coming days.

I was blessed I also got to know Mama Pita's mother and father, my great-great-grand-mother and great-great-grand-father, Mama Chita and Papa Lalito. He died when I was around 12 years old, and she died when I was around 14 years old. They lived in the country in the farm they never left. Oh and the things they lived, as you said Vicky, unbelievable. I'm almost sure they both reached 100 years old, though I'm not sure the exact age they were when they died.

Hello everyone. I'm sorry I've only been able to get on here until now. I am in the States now. My mom died on November 9 and from what my brother told me was very very peaceful. I had been praying and had others praying along side you all and my prayer in the end was for mom to talk to God and God to be talking to her and know comfort and peace. She had her last rites read before I went out, and I don't doubt my mom's belief that Jesus was her savior.

Her service was in the funeral home, under a non denominational pastor, though my mother was raised Catholic, she liked this man. I was glad to have a say in what scripture was to be read and referenced with this pastor as well.

I've been getting the house in order. Her clothes/coats have been donated to Good Will, and I am sure there will be happy people this Thanksgiving and Christmas as my mom had a lot of clothes and coats!

God is so good. He has been my strength, but my brother needs prayer as he's having a hard time dealing with this and other things in his life.

I also ask you pray for me as I am starting to feel distant from God, though I am trying to talk to him, but not as I used to back home because I now have so much to do here, this includes planning my wedding. I am staying here until after that, which is in January, as I cannot afford the back and forth and I have a very lonesome fiance in England.

Thank you all for your prayers. I pray for you all everyday.

Jennifer

Sometime when the cares of life come in like a flood, we must reach out for Jesus' hand like Peter did when he was sinking in the waves.  He had nothing in himself and no real hope or faith.  He only depended on Jesus' Hand to hold him up.

May you do the same, Jennifer.  You will get through this hard time.

Love and prayers from all of us.

Jeniffer, I'm sorry to read this news.
I'll keep you in my prayers. For the Lord to continue giving you strength and peace; for your relationship with God to grow closer ; and for your relationship and your fiance in England.
Also will be remembering your brother and all your family in my prayers.

14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

 15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
       and show him my salvation."

Psalm 91:14-16

Please remember Michael's friend in your prayers.  Cary got word the night before Thanksgiving that his father had had a heart attack and was hospitalized. He had gone to dinner with some f riends and while they were sitting in the restaurant he had a heart attack.

Cary flew out of Columbus early Thanksgiving morning to go home.  Instead of his parents coming to Columbus as they had planned Cary was flying to be with his still unconscious father.   The doctors were concerned that they hadn't been able to revive him after the attack.

I haven't heard any more today but I have so much compassion for Cary.  Please remember him and his dad.

Prayer Request Saturday, 9:58 PM

I've not been a good member of this group, but I need to request your prayers.

I have been battling clinical depression for 4 years now and it has caught up with me again.  I'm seeing a doctor, went to a hospital, and stuff.  My job is now questionable, and disability insurance may not be approved. I will learn more on Monday.

I really need God's love and healing.  Please pray that I will trust in Him.

Damaris, I am continuing to pray for Mama Pita and I'm sorry she broke some ribs; that has to be very painful for her.

Jennifer, I am so sorry about the death of your mom and I pray that she did know the Lord as her saviour.    Both you and your brother are in  my prayers and please know that God is beside you so do not become discouraged.  It's especially during troubled times that you need to lean closer to Him...He will  never leave you nor forsake you if you believe in Him.

Vondi, I am praying for Cary and his dad.   May God heal them both in whatever needs they have.

Gerald, I pray that your job will not in jeopardy because of your depression.  Year ago you couldn't lose a job if you had medical problems but I'm not so sure now.   Sad but true.  And I am praying that you are granted disability insurance...after all depression is very diabilitating.   May God give you strength to get through whatever you are facing.

God's blessings to each and every one that are going through trials and tribulations.   Please know that every trial and tribulation you get through will make you stronger.

Gerald, I'm sorry about depression troubling in your life again. Please take care of yourself. Don't think "this will pass" and do nothing about it, because depression worsens if not treated.
And, dear Gerald, don't say a word about not being a good member of the group. We all here are children of God, members of the same body. We all here are supposed to be for each other. Every member here who asks for support and prayers will sure find it among us.
I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please pop in anytime you wish.

Thanks for continuing prayers for Mama Pita, Vicky. Update: she is out of the hospital now, and is recovering at home. She is in a wheel chair because she can be stand anymore, she just doesn't have the strenght. But she is signing, she is smiling and talking. Altough she is not able to recognize anybody, or mantain a conversation, we are thankful that she is not in pain or sad. She is smiling and trying to talk about anything, and is giving compliments and smiling a lot. Did I mention she is giving everybody the most beautiful BIG smiles...? Thanks God!

Thanks again to all who prayed!
