I have been aware of the passing of one of our group members..Cam has passed away.Apparently his cancer returned. I got to know Cam through many of the groups here in Care2.
We often disagreed on issues.Cam was a foreign policy hawk who loved many of the politicians I despised, but I'll tell you this:despite our differences,he never condesensed, and always treated me with respect. I was a member of his Former Silent Majority group..trust me,with many of my positions, that was not an easy group to be part of,but Cam's criticisms never became personal,we always managed to have a frank dialogue, and he would even defend me when criticisms in the group became personal. I wish we had more folks of differing political beliefs would be more into dialogue instead of the putdowns that seem to be the way of life online...
Anyhow,Cam was a member of his group, and I thought folks should know
De mortuis nil nisi bene
Thanks for creating this thread David. Cam was certainly one of those with whom we loved to disagree.
My friend Kit has created a memorial thread out in the boards, should anyone wish to comment or go to the memorial site to comment. I am sure his family would appreciate it.
(I hope it is OK to have this link here, I know some groups don't allow that so please feel free to delete).

He's a one in a million sort of guy : great patriot, good man and dear friend .. we miss you Cam!
I left my comments on Kit's memorial site for Cam. Sweet of her to have set that up.
Cam and I didn't always agree, either, but yes, as you say, David, he was a very honorable and respectable man, one whose example should always be remembered. Peace be with you, Cam.
Cam was a such wonderful person - we were so fortunate to have him among us. His heart will linger in mine forever.
Rest in Peaceful Angel wings, Mr. Vallee
I will miss him and his physical presence here.
