That is beautiful, Katii!! The moon here last night wasn't, to the human eye, any larger than usual, but it was BLINDINGLY, dazzlingly bright.....more like an enormous star. l

Stunning!! I love the pictures we get to see here. The moon in this one looks like you could reach out and touch it.

The moon wasn't visible here last night because it was overcast (a-gain), but I did see it night before last and it was just brilliant.  It was so bright I did a touble take because from my bed it looked like someone was outside my bedroom window shining a flashlight!

We had rain!  Phooey!  It seems like every time there is an astral event that is not ordinary, we get rain.  I remember when we were supposed to see some of the aurora borealis this far south due to the extra sun activity--it rained.  The Persiad meteor showers?  It rained.  Halley's comet in 1986? rain.  This perigee moon?  rained.  Lunar eclipse? rain.  We are under a cloud it seems.

Katii, that is a stunning shot.  Who took that photo?

Christian, that is good enough to belong to NASA!  What kind of camera are you using?

I had to argue with my condo's management to get security to let me up onto the roof to take that shot. They lock it up all winter.

Christian  I cannot see your photo with Firefox4  There is not even a place marker.  I had to open in IE7 in order to see it!  It's beautiful but I wonder why I can't see it with FF?

Angelica, the photo is credited to 'NASA/Bill Ingalls'

Nice shot, Christian!
