China does little to regulate the amount of antibiotics given to livestock animals, causing the development of genes resistant to antibiotics and propagating illness in both animals and humans. There NEVER will be any sanction against China , Jan.
China ownes 3/4 of the world , economicly.
When I was a little child , they say " if the chinese people are going to walk , they will rule the whole world". On that moment we didn't know that they are going to walk with their money and would have the whole world in hostage with there economy. China has major compagnies and possesions in US. Europe , Africa and South America.
With their money they exported their retarded habits too. Expecely in Africa.

'Stop the Skinning of Live Raccoon Dogs on Chinese Fur Farms
All action has been taken
The photographs on the Stop Cooking Live Animals are so horrific. What kind of people can they be - they are monsters. This is not isolated deranged individuals engaging in acts of torture which occur in every country in the world. This is a country where the general accepted behaviour towards animals is outrageous and the animal activists are the isolated 'deranged' individuals engaging in acts of kindness. If that photograph horrifies me I cannot imagine what the activists feel like when the reality is in front of them. I would happily see all of the torturers skinned then boiled alive - ridding the world of these vile people would be a step in the right direction.
Of course if countries like UK and USA and others placed sanctions on China for their f****** manufactured goods until they placed animal welfare ahead of their own pagan addiction to cruelty then we might see some changes.
Sorry everyone I know I am preaching to the converted!

Minister Nhema, Mr Edson Chidziya, Mr George Pangeti and Dr Hilary Madzikanda
I am writing to express my deep concern about the transfer of wild-caught elephant calves from Zimbabwe to Chinese zoos.
Elephant calves have a very close bond with their mothers and with their female relatives. The removal of calves from their herds in the wild into captivity is devastating. The young elephants suffer severe, unrelenting stress, which affects their physical and psychological development. Many calves die.
The standard of animal care at Chinese zoos remains far from satisfactory, with facilities unable to provide for the behavioral and physiological needs of these animals. Following the transfer of four calves in November 2012, one has already died at Taiyuan Zoo. The others are likely to become ill soon.
It is my understanding that more wild-caught elephant calves are awaiting transportation to China. I respectfully appeal to you to stop the transfer and to work with Zimbabwean conservation organisations to rehabilitate these calves back into the wild.

(CN - HKG) Yet another big ivory shipment confiscated

Hong Kong customs seize over HK$10m in illegal ivory
Friday, 04 January, 2013
By Lai Ying-kit
Customs officials have confiscated HK$10.6 million worth of ivory in a cargo
from Africa, in the third large seizure of the banned product in three
months, they said on Friday.
Officers discovered the 779 pieces of elephant tusk, weighing about 1,300kg,
on Thursday afternoon while scanning a container with X-rays.
The ivory was found at the bottom of five wooden boxes. The tusks were
wrapped in canvas bags that were covered by stones - and construction stones
were listed on the customs declaration.
The shipment, from Kenya, reached Hong Kong via Malaysia.
Vincent Wong Sui-hang, the head of customs port control, said officers were
on the alert because imports of construction material from Kenya were
unusual and the receiving company was new.
In October, a record ivory haul of 3,800kg - valued at more than HK$27
million - was found in two shipments, one from Kenya and one from Tanzania.
In November, the department seized 1,330kg of tusks, worth an estimated
HK$10.65 million, in a container of sunflower seeds shipped from Tanzania.
A lonely dog in the streets of China.....get your tissues out, its heartbreaking...
Saddest thing in the world. You will cry
this is so callous and cruel, it cannot continue. it is criminal to use a live animal for our pleasure, while it is slowly dying inside a piece of plastic.signed.

In Oct 4th the World Animal Day, most of the cat beds were taking away at
Beijing Zoo, the reason the Zoo said is for protect the caged wild animals
in the Zoo. The cat beds were donated by loving citizens in Beijing. After
long period of the negotiation, Beijing Zoo still insisted do not allow the
new standard cat beds into the Zoo for poor cats who have nowhere to stay
at such frozen winter in Beijing. A lot of cats already died and still
dying every day. Most of the cats in Beijing Zoo already been neutered and
vaccinated by loving volunteers and the cats were being well cared by as
well. Every day, a number of the volunteers take the cat food and water to
go into the zoo to feed them, but now the food and water bows are
repeatedly being removed along with the cat beds as well. A lot of cats
already died and are still dying every day.
In Dec 10th, 3 citizen representatives went to the local police office to
deliver the written application for the permission to go for protest parade
to raise the voice for the dying cats in Beijing Zoo. 142 citizens in
Beijing have been signed to go for protest parade; they are waiting for the
answer from police. This protest news already goes on through Weibo, a lot
of people support Beijing citizen to protect the suffering and dying cats
in Beijing Zoo.
We are calling for more support to protest the inhuman decision of had all
the cat beds and cat food and water removed in the deep winter in Beijing
Please call the Management of Beijing Park Center and send an email to help
the dying cats in Beijing Zoo
God bless our cats!

Subject: Animal Welfare
We are shocked by the inhumane, barbaric, sadistic way dogs and cats
are treated in China.
It is a shame for you, for China, for the whole world, for all human beings!
The cruelty with which dogs and cats intended for the consumption are
treated in China is unbearable.
Revealed by investigations, and video's/films.
All the animals, and those are our first 4 -legged companions, deserve to be handled respectfully.
We ask you to demand a law which outlaws this kind of unbelievable cruelty towards animals.
IT IS TIME FOR CHINA TO RESPECT AN ANIMAL WELFARE LAW which BANS live skinning,
beating, hanging, cooking, electrocution and any kind of athrocity committed against these animals !

*TRAFFIC urges consumers not to buy marine turtle products after new report highlights ongoing illegal trade
<http://www.traffic. org/home/ 2012/11/1/ traffic-urges- consumers- not-to-buy- marine-turtle- products- af.html>
*Marine turtles illegally on sale in Hainan, China © Xu Ling / TRAFFIC Beijing,
China, 1st November 2012—TRAFFIC is urging holiday makers not to buy marine
turtle products through broadcasts in Hainan Province on local radio FM886.
The FM886 radio campaign aims to raise awareness among local fishermen,
souvenir shop owners and tourists about the ongoing poaching, illegal
processing and trade in marine turtles. Three key messages are being
broadcasted at least nine times per day until March 2013.
Hainan Province was chosen for the campaign after ongoing TRAFFIC market
surveys found the illegal trade in marine turtle parts rising there and in
Guangxi Province. In 2009, TRAFFIC surveys found 4,812 marine turtle
products for sale in 57 shops in Hainan, while in July 2012 the number had
risen to 11,255 products in 92 shops.
The survey results were revealed today in a new report, Market Forces – An
Examination of Marine Turtle Trade in China and
Japan<http://www.traffic. org/species- reports/traffic_ species_reptiles 34.pdf>(PDF,
1.5 M. The report finds significant growth of the trade in China
and persistent demand from the bekko industry in Japan as factors
influencing source country turtle populations in the Coral Triangle region,
particularly Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
Hainan is a centre for trade in tortoise shell - bekko souvenir items,
which TRAFFIC is urging holiday makers not to buy © Xu Ling / TRAFFIC Asian
countries, especially China and Japan, have a long history of using marine
turtles and their products as luxury goods, souvenirs and traditional
“With Hainan a popular holiday destination and many thousands of visitors
each year, there is a huge demand for souvenirs, but we would urge visitors
not to buy goods made from marine turtles, which are being sold illegally,”
said James Compton, TRAFFIC’s Senior Programme Director for Asia & the
“Anyone buying or selling such goods faces prosecution and harsh sentences
under Chinese law and is guilty of contributing to the decline in marine
turtle populations throughout the region.”
Marine turtles are poached for their tortoiseshell scutes as well as for
their meat and eggs. All species are banned from international commercial
trade under CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered
Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), and in China they are listed as national
second-class protected animals under the Wild Animal Protection Law.
In Japan, a persistent demand exists for highly decorative bekko pieces
manufactured from Hawksbill Turtle shells, while in China the main demand
is for jewellery and whole ornamental specimens, as well as scutes for use
in traditional medicine.
Significantly, the Chinese government has acknowledged the seriousness of
this problem and in June this year, the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry
of Public Security and General Customs launched a joint enforcement action
against the illegal trade.
TRAFFIC has supported this initiative through working with local government
authorities. In July 2012, more than 110 fisheries enforcement officers
from 29 border checkpoints, along with 10 officers from the Industry &
Commerce department and border police took part in an enforcement training
workshop supported by TRAFFIC in Haikou, Hainan Province.
In Malaysia and the Philippines, where marine turtles are sourced, TRAFFIC
provided similar training in 2011 for 30 enforcement officials working
inside one of the Coral Triangle’s transboundary protected areas. Trainings
in Indonesia and Viet Nam are also pending. These activities are being
conducted under the auspices of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations
Wildlife Enforcement Network (ASEAN-WEN). They have been accompanied by a
review of national laws pertaining to turtles in Southeast Asia.
“Strengthening law enforcement is critical to deterring the illegal trade
in marine turtles and the poaching of these animals in source regions,”
said Lida Pet Soede, leader of WWF’s Coral Triangle Programme, based in
“We are happy to see the Chinese government paying increased attention to
this illegal trade as part of its focus on combating the wildlife crime
whose consequences are felt well beyond China’s borders.”
TRAFFIC’s work on combating the illegal trade and reducing the demand for
marine turtle products in China is generously supported by WWF’s Coral

Dear Madam, dear Sir,
The endangered Snow leopard is a semi-large cat living in the snowy mountains of Central Asia. It has been included in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species since 1972, and has been placed in Appendix I in the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
The total mature breeding population is less than 2,500.
Bones from the endangered Snow leopard is used in traditional Chinese medicine. When bones from the like ways endangered Tiger grew harder to obtain, bones from the Snow leopard became popular as a substitute which placed an even harder strain on the already diminished Snow leopard population.
The endangered Snow leopard is hunted to provide bones for the regional markets as well as for international trade.
I ask the Chinese government to support alternative medicines that do not include the use of endangered animals. Thank you.

According to the Winnipeg Humane Society, most of the animals are killed by being strung up by their hind legs or neck with a thin metal wire. A worker then stabs them in the groin or stomach and waits for them to bleed to death. Some farms or factories will bludgeon animals to death, suffocate them or use a hose to pour water down their throats until they drown. More often than not, other tightly confined animals are forced to watch and wait.
The Star recently sent a reporter to China, and here’s what he witnessed:
