For the attention of China Southern Airlines;
It has come to my attention that your company has been transporting primates destined for the research industry, despite the fact that Nature Magazine declared that your company had not transported primates for 6 months since your ground handlers refused to unload the animals from your planes in Los Angeles last year. However, it is now become clear that you simply switched to transporting the animals through Chicago and carried on transporting to Europe as normal rather than actually stopping your transports!
Animals in laboratories suffer unimaginable cruelty in experiments that could easily be replaced with more reliable testing methods, and by transporting them your company is helping to perpetuate an unreliable, outdated and extremely controversial science that should have been replaced
30 years ago.
You should be aware that China Southern Airlines are now one of only four carriers still willing to transport primates for the research industry, and so I urge you in the strongest possible terms to join the vast majority of the airline industry and end your support for this cruel practice.
I simply cannot accept that primates continue to be used in such meaningless experiments and I assure you that I will do everything in my power to encourage people not to fly with your airline whilst you continue to support this cruel practice. There is a very good reason why so many airlines have banned this practice, and why both El Al and Air Canada have even fought legal battles for the right to end their involvement in this trade, but now that your airline has been exposed for transporting primates you can expect the negative PR that comes with being associated with the primate research industry.

I don't know what is wrong with this kid. Maybe drugs, definitely stupidity and a super sized ego. Even if he has to pay fines, it will mean nothing to him because he has so much money and the publicity will bring in even more money.

This talentless brat should never have that poor monkey back. He is not above the law and this should be a clear case of confiscation as it would be in U.K. The arrogant little upstart obviously thinks he can do as he pleases and the latest 'cutting' nonsense from fans all over Twitter is disgusting. He is no role model for our young people and this is just the kind of thing that encourages others to have monkeys as pets. It is time the law dealt with this problem. I wonder how many people realise that it is common practice to remove their teeth, because of course monkeys bite if upset - it is their only form of defense. I am really angry this morning. We have taken in a previous pet monkey who had his canines removed - all for the convenience of the pet owner.
Amazing how stupid humanity is! I am sure those people who own monkeys as pets love them and think they are helping them. Just goes to show that sometimes, bad things are done in the name of love. I agree with Jan; the laws should be changed, but that's not going to happen unless we can educate the public and by that, I mean people who love animals but who don't think of the consequences of their actions.

This is appalling. Bad enough to have a pet monkey at all but to want to dress them up as surrogate children is diabolical.
The law needs to be changed to make it illegal to own a pet monkey.

I found Cheyenne's information interesting too and it goes to emphasise how many animals, some of whom I had not heard, are in danger from humans. They were time consuming but how much time do these animals have left? No one makes anyone sign if they do not want to. A quick click is all it takes to by-pass.

Construction of new resorts and condominiums in Costa Rica requires bulldozing of rainforest areas which are crucial for the survival of howler monkeys native to the region. New businesses should instead utilize the existing vacant buildings and empty lots rather than destroying additional rain forest habitat.
The only one I have not signed yet is the Story Book Farm petition. I need a lot more information before denigrating another Sanctuary especially one that takes in Baboons. No one ever wants baboons. It may be an appalling place but I need to look into it further before signing - will google it etc later today. Thanks.
