Woman arrested after shop dummy entered as Aberdeen council election candidate

The dummy was entered under the name Helena Torry

A woman has been arrested after a shop dummy was entered as a candidate for the council elections in Aberdeen.

The mannequin - which is understood to have been seized by police - originally appeared on the list of potential councillors for the Hazlehead, Ashley and Queens Cross ward.

Grampian Police said a woman, 63, has been charged under the Representation of the People Act.

The dummy was entered under the name Helena Torry.

By golly, I'd have voted for her. One thing is for sure, and that is that she would do absolutely nothing wrong. Of course that doesn't say that she would do anything right either, but considering the fact that she's a dummy, there would be absolutely no political disagreements about her. LOL.
Thanks
Jim

Not sure why that is considered news since we had one as the Speaker of the House from 2007 until early 2011 (San Fran Nan). Probably the one running in Aberdeen was more intelligent though.

Appears to be a little bit of political humor....
