Excellent, Carol and for a person that loves music, the first one was specifically good.

Ditto on Linda's comment - at first I didn't realize what all of those names meant, but then after the first 2, it occurred to me. So, after reading all of the titles and the authors, I went to my local library and asked at the information desk if they had all of them in stock.
They told me that the only person who could help me find those particular titles was the Head Librarian, whose name was Mrs. Waite (Helen) So they told me to have a seat down at the other end of the building. But I thought they were rather rude when the said Go To Helen Waite.
Oh Jim, that was a keeper. Agree, Sandy, I'll bet your husband has met her doppelganger; there seems to be one at most libraries, too.
Reminds me of I. P. Freely.
Reminds me of "Uncle John's Bathroom Readers" their slogan is "We do our duty and sit firmly while the rest of the world takes pot shots at us."
Tara Jane, you have been missed. That is so funny; had never heard that before or of "Uncle John's Bathroom Readers" but what fun it would be as we all need good reading material while sitting on the "throne". I do love that slogan.
I hadn't heard of Uncle John's Bathroom readers before either. I have plenty of reading material at home for that purpose. =) but I checked on Amazon.com and they have several of them including his latest, "Uncle John's 24-Karat Gold Bathroom Reader"
Carol, can't decide which one I like the best; once more you gave us so much fun.
Carol, what in the world would we do without you? Honestly, you can
turn Political Derby upside down with your wit!!!
Carol, as always this hit the spot and thank you so much. You are awesome and keep us all on our toes with these. LOL
, Carol, these are some of my favorites; I have been laughing so hard over most of them. Thank you.
Carol, you are great
Carol, what would Political Derby do without you? I so look forward to Wednesday Wit and your great sense of humor.
Carol you are so comical you have made my day, thank you so much, I am looking forward to next Wednesday.
Carol, I love these. Please keep them coming. I have been sharing them with other people and they all beg for more.
Oh my goodness, some of those are just crazy good. But I found one other that might be Eddy Fiss's sister / Eddy Fiss was one of Carol K's findingings in the building.
How about A hole in the wall by Ora Fiss??
Thanks, Carol, for another winner!! PD is lucky to have you and your sense of humor. As Jim says, you are a day brightener!
. .. Happy Birthday America!!!!
Carol, you just get better all the time; you even found some fitting for the 4th of July; awesome.
So funny, Carol! Definitely gotta pass that last one on.
Am I the only one who thinks we have a great deal of talent here on Political Derby? Honestly, most of you should be writing for the Jay Leno Show.
In my case any joke would be considered plagerism. LOL I don't even retell them well.
But now Jim and Carol, as well as Sandy; go for it as I might watch his show again.
to all of you
Carol, I cannoli send my deepest regrets. Thanks so much for your Wednesday Wit....I look forward to it!
I will remember that when my daughter is in the kitchen cooking; we would never want to be accused of "too many cooks" as that poor sloth did not deserve it.
Love it so much Carol. I have been waiting for your column all week!!!
Groan; these are so funny, Carol. Love them all. Thank you as a good laugh was needed today.
Keep 'em coming, Carol. Couldn't wait to get here today...."best lamb dyer in Texas!" Loved that one!
Carol, I think what I love the most about these is that they first get a groan and then a huge laugh; the groan because I was "suckered" into allowing it to catch me off guard and then the full humor of just how great it is and somewhat at myself for falling for it, too. You are doing a great job and keep them coming; I look forward to Wednesday Wit.
Carol, thank you! I think YOU are a hittle bit of leaven!!!!!
I always look forward to the Wednesday Wit from Carol -- Just love it.
I love these puns, Carol. I grew up on them with my father. Now if only Care2 would deliver these to my email. They're messing me up again.
Carol, tried them on my daughter and she said that you have missed your calling; you should have a column in a newpaper getting paid to put these out there for people. Agree, love every one of them.
Sandy, last week I was not getting my email notifications, but now they are coming through off and on.
It completely stopped through this morning and now is back to once in a while.
Sandy, just got a message from Care2 and they are having major problems, even Eric is having them, so guess that is the norm for today.
Carol, that is exciting and I am so pleased to know that. Kind of figured you had journalism background. Jenn said that she is pleased to know that, too.
, Carol is at it again and you got me on these, Carol. Not sure which one I love the most as they were all great.
I love the Aflac duck!! Glad they quacked the case. What would we do without him?
Thanks, Carol, for your Wednesday Wit. I was busy yesterday and didn't get to it until this morning and with all the activity on PD yesterday I had to dig deep to find it but find it, I did!!
We are so lucky to have you as a cohost on Political Derby.
"You always herd the ones you love....the ones you should never herd at all...."
I could use a herring aide....
Carol, they just get better by the week.
Excellent Carol. I so appreciate your Wednesday Wit and today it was much needed. Thank you for the cheer up.
fancy footwork you've got up there, Linda, thought I'd help you out with the three stepper....!!
Thanks, Carol, I love, love, love, Wednesday Wit.
Requires no comment other than, Thank You, Carol, so much fun. Suggestion, though, how about closing this thread next Wednesday and opening a new one as it takes me forever to get to the new jokes. LOL When you want a laugh, time is of the essence, remember. LOL
