An Excellent Observation from an Observer In Europe
5 years ago
I've received an E-Mail from my friend Pam in California, which is a quote from someone over in Czechoslovakia. It makes a terribly great amount of sense. Why it couldn't have been received prior to the election and why it couldn't have made the rounds in this country, so that everyone could see an outsider's perspective on what is going on, I can't tell you. I can only say, that the quote is worthy of showing to all.
In a message dated 11/17/2012 10:07:55 A.M. US Mountain Standard Tim, writes:
Don't ever take the Europeans for being fools. Let's face it. What made this country what it is? The many year long history of Emigration, by people who were smart enough to leave their oppressed places of birth, an amazing challenge in and of itself, and then coming to the greatest country on earth.
But now, through reproduction of a much weaker type of person, some spoiled, some lazy, some greedy, and many just lackadaisical, we've wound up with a nation of half wits. I would find it very hard to believe that with the record of the last four years, and the obvious proof of where our government is taking us, that half this country could vote such a person and his colleagues back into office for another try at completing what they've started out to do.
Did you ever ENVY the people who were a part of the Revolutionary War? Well, ENVY NO MORE, because you may find out the REAL MEANING of that very old but famous CLICHE' - - - "History Repeats Itself."

The Quote to which I referred from Czechoslovakia:

Perfect Quote
Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic .
Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon
"The danger to America is not Barrack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.
It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment
to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.
The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America .
Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.
The Republic can survive a Barrack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools,
such as those who made him their president."

Sad, but all too true of many of our citizens.   There's been a dramatic drop in IQ.

Unbelievable: Many voters still blame Bush for bad economy
5 years ago

By CONNIE CASS | Associated Press –   Nov 6, 2012

WASHINGTON (AP) — Rising prices and chronic unemployment were heavy on the minds of voters Tuesday even as a glimmer of optimism peeked through. Four in 10 said the nation's battered economy is getting better.

Most everyone agreed there's still far to go. They were less likely to blame President Barack Obama for the economic troubles, however, than to point the finger at his predecessor, George W. Bush, according to preliminary results of a national exit poll.

Only a fourth thought they were better off financially than four years ago when Obama was elected. Voters were most likely to say their families were doing about the same. A third felt worse off.

The survey of voters as they left polling places showed 6 in 10 ranked the economy the top issue, far ahead of health care, the federal budget deficit or foreign policy. The majority who don't yet see economic improvement were roughly divided over whether things were getting even worse or just stuck in place.

About 4 in 10 blamed Obama for the nation's economic woes.

Joseph Neat, a stay-at-home father in Hagerstown, Md., said he voted for Republican Mitt Romney because Obama hasn't solved the problems hurting families like his, especially gasoline prices that he called "insane."

"We don't have time for him to make changes. We need the changes now," Neat said of Obama. "And four years is plenty of time."

Three-fourths of voters said the economy is poor or not so good. But many like William Mullins of Lansing, Mich., felt Obama inherited the problems.

"Obama had a lot to deal with when he came to office," Mullins said. "You can't change everything overnight."

They pointed to years of high unemployment and rising prices as the biggest troubles for people like them; those two worries far outstripped concerns about the housing market or taxes in the exit polls conducted for The Associated Press and television networks.

Only a quarter of voters were feeling enthusiastic about Obama's administration; about as many said they're angry about it.

About half said government is doing too many things better left to businesses and individuals, a point hammered by Romney throughout the campaign. Only 4 in 10 wanted government to do more.

"I haven't had a raise in two years because of Obama's anti-business policies," said Ken Keller, a Schaumburg, Ill., engineer who voted for Romney.

But voters were more likely to say Obama stands for the middle class or the poor. The Obama campaign's insistence that the multimillionaire Romney would do more for well-heeled Americans seems to have taken hold in voters' minds.

Half of voters said they think the former Massachusetts governor's policies generally favor the rich and barely any thought he favors the poor.

"I don't think Romney understands people who are down and out," said Cari Herling, an insurance analyst from Sun Prairie, Wis.

In contrast, only about 1 in 10 said Obama, who has pushed higher taxes for the wealthy, favors rich Americans. About half of voters said taxes should be raised on income over $250,000 per year.

For Obama, the biggest group — 4 in 10 — said his policies help the middle class, with the poor coming in a close second.

Voters tended to think the U.S. economic system as a whole generally favors the wealthy.

Nearly two-thirds of voters said they thought illegal immigrants working in the United States should be offered a chance to apply for legal status, instead of being deported.

In a race that's been neck-and-neck for months, about 1 in 10 voters said they'd only settled on their presidential choice within the last few days or even on Election Day.

The survey of 19,728 voters was conducted for the AP and the television networks by Edison Research. This includes preliminary results from interviews conducted as voters left a random sample of 350 precincts nationally Tuesday, as well as 4,389 who voted early or absentee and were interviewed by landline or cellular telephone from Oct. 29 through Nov. 4. Results for the full sample were subject to sampling error of plus or minus 2 percentage points; it is higher for subgroups.

Great information, Jim and Sandy.     We must remember that Obie only captured 51% of the votes.

Obama turns to familiar refrain in post-election press conference: Blame Bush

November 14, 2012,

"Before diving into an explanation of how he wants to avoid the so-called "fiscal cliff" -- and imploring House Republicans to approve legislation to raise taxes on high earners -- Obama sought to once again remind Americans that he took office, four years ago, during a recession that started with the George W. Bush administration..."

Isn't 51% a mandate?   That's what Obama, Reid, etc. are telling us.  Wow, so huge!!!

Guess what, I think it is coming if Obama doesn't wise up; not necessarily a revolution, but there is going to be something much different than OWS and his new law about congregating outside a Federal Bldg. or the White House; he will find out that it is not HIS WH, it is ours.  But people are smart; they will make it known.  Again, hit bottom and you will claw your way back to the top.

The OWS group are now demanding that the taxpayers pay their bills.     I put up a thread here about it....

Part of what is being overlooked here is the ignorance and stupidity of many in the country and in the electorate s due in part to a media that spews propaganda rather than news and an "education" system that fails to educate, is tainted by Left Wing texts/curriculum/many teachers/union leadership/non education subjects like "esteem" and "diversity", When you have supposed college students and even college professors who can't answer basic US history question even those as to when (what century even) events like the dates WW1/the Civil War/the Revolutionary War took place, who the leaders of the country are like the VP, or have a clue as to current events/election positions and issues, or even who the candidates are; you are in deep doo doo. This isn't an accident and there really seems to be no way of reversing this until reality hits many of these people in the face. It is coming soon with the unsustainable debt, the devalued dollar, hyper inflation, even higher unemployment, likely energy shortages and higher prices, and more expensive and rationed health care. That doesn't even address the likely security problems and loss of freedoms from other actions by this cast of clowns now in charge.

John, if you are referencing state-run universities, this might be true regarding not being able to answer basic history questions; but I do know that it is not true of private universities.  My daughter has a dual degree, one in history and one in English lit (she had planned to pursue law or teaching).  I challenge you to sit down with her and put your questions to her or her fellow classmates in history.  Her main emphasis was World War II, but she is perfectly capable of answering any question you put to her pertaining to the U.S., World in general, Early and modern Roman history, history of India, the British Isles (England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales), Germany, etc.  She is capable of discussing any topic pertaining to ancient and modern Greece and the Middle East from Mesopotania to current which helped her a lot while stationed in Qatar and Iraq.  No, she is not the only one, she presented at a number of national history symposiums, too.  And her university took other students to this as well.

I think you are somewhat out of touch or you made a very broad and generalized statement that is unrealistic. You see she was in a liberal arts focused university, although they have sciences as well, having engineering programs.

Your problem in your comment is that you assume that all college students will further their history education and tha tis not so.  The true failing in this is the elementary, middle and high schools that are not teaching these things sufficiently.  The average college student's history education stopped at about the 11th grade when they took U.S. History.  I have grandchildren in these grade levels currently and I am so surprised that they don't teach more at the high school level.  When I went to high school we actually took World History the sophmore year, U.S. History our Junior year and Current World Affairs and Civics (study of government) our senior year.  They don't' do this any more, they get world and U.S. and that is it, no classes in U.S. government at all.  I would agree that this is not an accident.  The current educational system for those high school and under caters to math and English.  Reading and reading comprehension, some science, and some history.  The teachers emphasis due to "No Child Left Behind" has been on the SOL and PAL tests and so the teach spends most of the classroom time preparing the students for these tests and most of the actual academic learning beyond that is being done in the form of homework at home and the parents are required to see that their child is able to learn the skills for this; multiplication, division, fractions, teaching them to read, drilling them on sight words, and so much more.  In grade school I very rarely had homework until about the 5th grade; kids in kindergarten are now having up to 2 hours of homework a night.  That is the difference John.

I know that there are problems, I hear you.  I have heard kids interviewed and asked basic questions and they can't answer.  How, then, do we expect them to vote intelligently?  Their only real exposure to politics is through the MSM, what their professors might share in classes or teachers in high school.  I can't begin to tell you the things my step-granddaughter brought home from high school (she is a junior) regarding the elections.  She was convinced that only through Obama would people survive and that Romney was going to run business out of the country and no one would have jobs.  She was convinced that it was the government's responsibility to provide housing, health care and college tuition and it was not me she was listening to, trust me.  She was getting this from her chemistry and Spanish teachers at school; not even her U.S. History teacher or English teacher was involved in this, it was chemistry and Spanish foreign language teachers.

So, agree and disagree, John.

Linda: I think you are over reacting to my comments in a big way. To begin with those I cited were in college and were supposed to have gotten the basics in lower levels of education along with math, English, and other subjects that there are also frequently delinquent in as to having the basic knowledge (look at all the remedial English, math, and reading programs in college these days)

I have a daughter with four degrees from a BA through a PhD who taught at college for a while (partly at a private college that wasn't very sharp in what it did either) and is a strong conservative. That was more from discussions at home on politics, reading various things, and all rather than anything from the school system. Most of her first 12 years were in a Catholic school. She no longer teaches since most schools have gone to using adjunct professors unless you have a connection, I have also done adjunct teaching at both the community college and large state university level and have been underwhelmed at the logic level and even some of the real practical knowledge of the full time teaching staff. The English Department at the community college decided to go out and buy a program to evaluate the require essays of incoming students to determine their English placement level. It worked fairly well on most of mechanics like verb tense, determining if a sentence had the proper structure of at least a subject and a verb, and most spelling errors but had zero capacity to see if the essay or even the sentence made any sense. Could have told them that since I worked for more than 30 years in a couple large companies in all aspects of systems development and computer systems do not do well with unstructured data like essays. At the university level it was worse since the course I taught was the basic information system course for business college juniors and one requirement was to teach students (marketing majors, accounting majors, finance majors, etc) how to determine file sizes. Not only was it something they would never use in those fields, the way it was done was to calculate file sizes of MS Word/Access/Excel files counting characters and estimating overhead. All you have to do with those is right click the mouse and select the "properties" option and it tells you the file size so it was a double exercise in stupidity.

I also have a sister who recently retired from teaching at the middle school and high school level in social studies subjects and is a flaming liberal who is clueless of some aspects of the Constitution and other civics related subjects as well as facts surrounding many current issues. When "discussing" the health care proposals a couple years ago she was totally unaware that the states regulate (and regulate very heavily in many cases) health insurers and what they can offer and charge. Nor was she aware that it was the Feds that set that up in legislation quite a few years ago. In her world it was the mean evil insurance companies that was responsible for high rates, rejections, etc because her union and her political party told her so. BTW, she has two degrees in teaching.

After spending about eight years arguing on a lot of blogs with so called "intelligent" and "informed" idiots who call themselves "liberals", I am more than well aware of the ignorance that is out there in history, civics, current events, and the facts of many issues. Too many times I've pointed out which party was in control of what when things happened like Bubba"s "surplus"and the GOP controlling everything for eight years under Bush2, past climate problems like the typhoons that destroyed the Mongol fleets invading Japan twice in the 13th Century or why Greenland was called Greenland, the fact that the Crusades came 350 years AFTER the muslims invaded southwestern Europe, and similar easy to check facts. Doesn't make any difference since the left wing loons are not subject to facts, logic, or reason, But they are products of the education system and the media "news". The problem is greater than the subject matter content or lack of it and includes the inability to apply logic and reason or to go out and do some basic research on issues.

The indoctrination has been going on a long time since I got a taste in my last quarter before graduating from Ohio State in the Fall of 1964 when I took the Intro to Sociology course as an elective to fill out my hours requirements, One of those huge lecture rooms filled with mostly new students who were receiving their first dose of propaganda. During one lecture the alleged "professor" threw out the tidbit that the military had gotten a pay raise every year since WW2. Since my dad was career Air Force and had been in since 1940 until his death in 1961 and I had been in the Army Reserve since graduating high school in 1960. I knew that was no where near true but there is no way to respond during a canned lecture among 300 or so students so that comment just sits out there in ignorant minds.

Just because a school isn't a government run entity doesn't mean it is free from liberal or left wing slants either. I remember after coming back from RVN where I was an adviser to an ARVN infantry battalion hearing a priest intone at mass in a sermon about the evils of the war there. Now my counterpart was an ARVN officer who was forced from his home in the North because he was a Catholic and the ones doing the killing of aid workers and destroying schools in the area we were doing a pacification mission was the NVA/VC units in the area. I'm sure that priest was teaching some classes in the parish school and I wouldn't be surprised if a number of the other teachers held the same ignorant views that likely came out in some of the classes.

The indoctrination is in place in all public grammar and high schools. I went back for a 2nd degree in 1990 but I took all science courses which did not include indoctrination.

It is the social studies and history classes which are heavily indoctrinated.

I don't believe the kids get a solid foundation in the basics today and that is why so many states have that competency test to graduate. SAT scores are lower and they actually made the SAT exams easier.

I know there is always friction in the curriculum books which are put together now in Texas.
The progressives got a strong hold onto education in the early 1970s.
I find it shocking that Bill Ayers and Valerie Jarrett are close; their families have strong ties.
Obama's mother worked with Tim Geithner's dad and all of these extreme left progressives have strong bonds and ties which still link them together. They had a plan which was outlined and they have succeeded with Barack Obama now in power.

It is absolutely amazing how all of these names, and the number of people who are in some way connected with either Socialism, Marxism, Communism, the NWO or Islamic Groups, other than what we know as Peaceful and respectable Muslims etc - all tied in one way or another.

You'd mentioned the Ft Hood incident and now we have Benzhinga - and it's all going down like it's simply a "good James Bond Style mystery book" with the exception of the fact that it's REAL LIVE PEOPLE that are dying off and you can't just put the book down and say "this didn't happen" simply because it is happening and it's not good at all.

Thanks for all of your input.

Great information Sheila and yes, that is the case.

John, I am sorry if you thought I misunderstood.  Certainly was not meant to upset; just observations.  I only wished to explain that, and I still believe, not all college graduates are as ignorant as one would think as to history.  I have met some wonderful and very brilliant conservative young Republicans and they do have their heads on right.  I agree that private colleges have those that are doing the indoctrination.  And for the record, indoctrination in the universites and colleges in the U.S. goes back to at least WWII, but more specifically to World War I and then Red October in 1917 and the rise of Lenin in the Bolshevik Party.

The Bolshevik's were lead by the academics of Russia, Lenin among them.  In studying Marxism you understand, as I am sure you are well aware, that the best way to change the government is to gain the support of the students; hence indoctrinate them and win them over to your position.  That has not changed as they made it clear the way to take over the U.S. was to indoctrinate the children/young people and destroy the family unit.

All you have to do is look at the U.S. now to see how well this is working; and look at Obama to see that they were very successful with him.

More Ammo to add to the fire, The following is a different subject, but the same characters, and the POTUS sounds like he's DARING some of the PRINCIPALS of this country to come forward and do what must be done. IS HE ASKING TO BE IMPEACHED?? The way the Western Journal interprets it, you would think so. Read On:

Barack Obama Has Ordered His Own Impeachment. Let's Give Him What He Wants!      UPDATE: Defending the outrageous Benghazi lies of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, Barack Obama issued the following challenge at a press conference:
"If Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham and others wanna' go after somebody, they should go after me."
Did you hear that Mr. Boehner... Mr. McConnell...?  Let's take Mr. Obama at his word.

Mr. Boehner: Stop Compromising And Start Impeaching!

Part 3

That's the message we're sending to Mr. Boehner and so-called Republican leaders because we're sick and tired of their cowardice and their betrayals and we're not going to take it anymore.
Republican leaders put out marching orders over two years ago. Any talk of impeachment from any Congressman or Senator would NOT be tolerated.
Why? Because they foolishly and erroneously thought that standing up for the Constitution would cost them the 2012 election; and now, some of them are finally coming to realize what patriotic Americans have known all along... that it was their refusal to stand up and do their Constitutional duty that cost them the election.
And now that the realization is starting to sink into their rather thick skulls, it's time to push the argument. It's time to make it clear to our so-called Republican leaders... It's time to STOP CAPITULATING and START IMPEACHING.

It Only Took John Boehner A Few Hours To Show His Cowardice. But everyone still hasn't gotten the message that Barack Obama has to go. The so-called 'Republican Leadership' is the problem.
It only took John Boehner a few hours after the election to proclaim that he was ready to capitulate. He didn't even bother to consult with his fellow Republican members of the House before exposing his neck, like an obsequious dog, to the heel of Barack Obama's jack-boot.
Marching in front of the television cameras the next morning, he said, in no uncertain terms, that he was ready, willing and able to wave the flag of surrender without firing a shot: "Mr. President, this is your moment," he said. "We want you to lead. Let's find the common ground that has eluded us."
Hours later, Barack Obama marched in front of the television cameras as well with a message of his own, a message he has already delivered far too many times: I'm moving hard to the left. I'm going to bring the United States to its knees, and if Republicans cooperate... that's 'compromise.'

Part 4

That's not leadership Mr. Boehner and you're no leader. When are you going to learn that you'll never find "common ground" with a man who is attempting to destroy the United States of America? When are you going to realize that Barack Obama doesn't care that you want him "to lead" because he's come to plunder?
It's time to stop compromising Mr. Boehner and it's time to start impeaching and our so-called Republican leaders need to hear that message from you before it's too late... before the damage done is irreparable.

Use the button or the hyperlink below to send your urgent Blast Faxes to each and every one of the Members of the Republican Leadership of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives.

But Boehner Was Just Getting Warmed Up. Speaking on his solemn promise to eradicate ObamaCare, Boehner proclaimed: "The President was re-elected. ObamaCare is the law of the land."
Newsflash Mr. Boehner... Democrat voter fraud doesn't make ObamaCare either Constitutional or palatable to the American people and you need to start being part of the solution, or you need to get out of the way.
But Boehner still wasn't done. He also said: "For purposes of forging a bipartisan agreement that begins to solve the problem, we're willing to accept new revenue, under the right conditions."
Translation: I'm going to let Barack Hussein Obama raise job-killing, economy-killing taxes through the roof as long as he allows me call it 'new revenue' so stupid TEA Party voters won't know that I betrayed them.

Impeachment Is Now The Fashion. Don't allow Boehner's weakness, or the weakness of self-proclaimed Republican leaders to discourage you. Impeaching Obama was once a taboo in Republican circles, but it is now becoming the fashion.
Even establishment Republican Grover Norquist speculated back in January that if Obama wins re-election and continues to do "everything by executive order," continues to make "no effort to work with Congress" and raises taxes that impeachment would be on the table.
Michelle Malkin recently implied to Fox News' Sean Hannity that continued Obama stonewalling on the Benghazi scandal could lead to impeachment.
They're not alone. You're not alone. We're not alone, but unless we breath more life into this movement, it will die.
The 'feeling' in the corridors of power in Washington D.C. is that Barack Hussein Obama is too popular and untouchable, but Obama is only 'untouchable' because our Republican leaders have failed to pursue his unconstitutional and dictatorial usurpations of power, his ineligibility to hold the office and his supreme incompetence on matters like Benghazi.
If Republicans simply stand up to him, the mob will turn against him; but that's not going to happen as long as Boehner and Republican leaders continue their campaign of capitulation, compromise and appeasement.

The Mob Will Turn Against Obama Mr. Boehner, If You Stand Up To Him. History teaches us that lesson. In 1972, Richard M. Nixon took 61% of the vote and collected 520 electoral votes. He was unstoppable. He was untouchable... or so people thought.
Shortly after the Watergate scandal broke, everything changed. Everything changed because his opponents pursued him relentlessly... without mercy.
In 1992, Bill Clinton collected 370 electoral votes and beat George H.W. Bush decisively by 4.5 percentage points in the popular vote. Clinton was popular. He was unstoppable... and after the Monica Lewinsky scandal broke, he was impeached.
Barack Hussein Obama only beat Mitt Romney by 2.5 percent in the popular vote. Obama lost 7.5 million votes from his 2008 total and he only took 320 electoral votes.
If Nixon could be impeached... if Clinton could be impeached... then Obama can most certainly be impeached.

Now, some will tell you that impeachment is pointless because the Senate will never convict Barack Hussein Obama if the Republican-Majority House of Representatives votes affirmatively on Articles of Impeachment.
Guess What? It doesn't matter. Nixon resigned in disgrace. Clinton was effectively neutered during the remaining two years of his term.
History teaches us that the American people win even if we fail to remove Barack Hussein Obama from office and impeachment is just what the doctor ordered when it comes to putting this usurper in his place and letting him know, in no uncertain terms, that the American people are in charge.
Did you ever tell your child to stand up to a bully at school, and, if so, did you do it because you were certain that your child would win a fight with the bully?
Of course not, you told your child to stand up to the bully to put the bully in his place. When you stand up to a bully, you may lose the fight but you never have to stand up to the bully, ever again.
Barack Obama is a bully and it's well past time for our spineless 'leaders' in Congress to stand up to him and teach him a lesson. The American people are willing to get bloody but we will not be bullied.
If button above does not work, please use this hyperlink.

You Don't Bargain With A Bully Mr. Boehner.      When will John Boehner and our Republican leaders stop handing over our lunch money to Barack Hussein Obama?
When we make it clear to them that the American people will accept no less. When we make it clear to them that they have much more to lose by not standing up to the bully.
The key to taking back this great country is administering a cure to the cowardice that has infected the Republican leadership in Washington, and administering that cure is our job.
No one is going to do it for us. The media is not going to do it. Our Republicans leaders will not spontaneously grow spines and take action. so it is up to us.

Jim: There will be no move to impeach unless things get so bad that some of the Demagogues are willing to go along with that movement. So far that isn't anywhere near likely since they are getting their agendas pushed as well. It will take some action on his part or some negative results from his actions that affect their constituents or interests for that to happen. Likely that would be too late to make any difference anyway. Keep in mind that the Nixon actions were bipartisan (part of the GOP response being they were acting RINO as usual) and the action against Clinton failed because the GOP controlled Senate chickened out. Not sure where you see that it deterred Bubba much in anyway since he basically had done his damage by then and couldn't get anything really radical done in his second term since the GOP controlled both houses of congress. Both Clinton and Obama have done things much worse than Nixon since Clinton's was an actual criminal act of lying under oath in a legal matter and Obama has abused his Constitutional powers in many areas as well as defying court orders.

Linda: My basic disagreement with you is that I never said EVERYONE going through college comes out either ignorant or indoctrinated but the process for many years now, as you pointed out, is to attempt that result. Keep in mind as well that the really big private colleges like Harvard/Yale/Princeton/Columbia/etc are the hot bed of the radical movement and Dear Leader Obama and his queen are supposedly products of those institutions as are many in his administration and the Demagogue Party. Also keep in mind that his good buddy and mentor, Bill Ayers, is deeply involved in the development of the education curriculum for "educating" those going into teaching. The problem is the radical left wing element is so deeply entrenched in the whole educations structure that digging them out will be difficult and a very long term process at best. Not sure we have the time to undo what they have patiently done over the last hundred years. Am also not sure that we can undo the total damage of the Left politically in time to avoid serious damage to the country.

Our only hope, as a country, is that the election in 2014 removes the necessary number of democrats to have a republican congress.   Without that, we'll see Obama ramp through his "green" programs which will focus on The Pentagon and reducing our military to such a state that we can no longer defend our own country.

Obama is a Satan.   He is anti-American.    He is an arrogant anti-American.   What could be worse?   The liberals in America elected this man who had no meaningful job in his life.   How did this happen in our country?   That's the question we must focus on and do something about 2014.   That will be our only opportunity to take Obama down at the knees.   We have a great deal of work to do.

John, I am sorry but I think that we may just have miscommunicated with each other and think we are on the same wave length now.

Jim, I think, as John state, it is best to let this go as it is going to now take something during this term that is major to do anything.

And, for that to happen, Diane, you are right.  We have to focus on 2014 and take over the Senate and maintain the House; getting more would not hurt, either.  It is only when we control Congress that we can get Obama under control.  In the meantime we cannot let our guard down; we need to be watching what is happening and not relying solely on political blogs or media blogs for our information.  We need to watch the (dot) gov sites and see what bills and initiatives are before Congress.  We even need to listen to the MSM and hear what they are up to.  Remember, keep your friends close and your enemies closer; well that is what we need to do.  We can gain a lot of information from what the MSM is saying.

So the job is before us, we need to work for a strong Repblican Congress control.

Can I ask a rather silly question?  Of course I can.

You say that we need to listen to the MSM.

For four years we listened to "O" - how often did you hear the truth?

We listened to various left leaning radio and TV Stations, read Left Leaning Newspapers, and where did it get us? It made us realize that not only is our POTUS a PUPPET, but the media is easily led to say what they are told to say. So what will we learn?? We've already learned that we can't trust them.

Do you think that now, that they've helped put the USURPER back in office, that they are going to be all the more honest?  I don't have faith in that.

Surely, I agree with your saying that we must PUT OUTSELVES in a position of watchingwhat's going on, - no doubt about it, but I don't really think that it's going to be easy to get "O" under control.

And you say that if we can control the house (s) what makes you think that is going to do any good?

There's someone in the position of power, who doesn't feel that he's got to follow those rules. Especially not when he's got Executive Power. And it's not like he hasn't used it.

To be exact, if I heard the right number rattled off, 141 times thus far and he still has exactly 2 months to go before his FIRST term is up.

What will happen when this country gets another CREDIT DOWN GRADE. Are we going to go the way of so many other countries?? And who do we go to for help. Will China help us any longer? Certainly, they are losing interest in us. especially more so now that we are interested in making more products here so that we can put  more people to work.

Of course, no matter what we do, it's going to be wrong.

Sure do wish I had the answer, or could find someone that does.

Speaking with several friends in the Moose, all of whom voted Repub. (I think) I'm finding a lot of rather depressed people. Some have the attitude that hey, we're old, and we're not really going to see the ultimate effect - so does that make it any less painful?? No, not in my book.

I guess all that we can do is hope and pray that things will work out and that within the next four years, we find that we WILL BE ABLE TO VOTE AGAIN.

As our houses get more and more over run by people with and agenda, the chances of that happening are lessened.

There have even been rumors to the effect that Obama will serve a third time, but it will not be due to a vote. How would you take that? Kind of scary, don't you think?

I'm now reading "Fool Me Twice" about Obama's second term.    I encourage all of you to read it if you haven't done so already.   What Obama will do over the next four years is downright scary.
