China Demands US Citizens Be Disarmed

by BRANDON DARBY

The official Chinese government news agency, Xinhua, has demanded the US immediately adopt stricter gun control measures to reduce the number of firearms the US populace is permitted to possess.

The Chinese state-controlled media’s statement, titled “Innocent Blood Demands No Delay for US Gun Control,” is primarily focused on the Newtown tragedy in which 26 Americans were killed by a mad gunman. Twenty of the victims were young children.

The Chinese government stated, “Their blood and tears demand no delay for the U.S. gun control.”

In an apparent effort to restrict information to their populace, the Chinese government wrote of a number of US mass shootings but failed to mention they were either stopped by a citizen legally carrying a firearm or otherwise only occurred in the controversial gun-free zones that critics say make prime targets for madmen.

The Chinese government states:

The past six months have seen enough shooting rampages in the United States. Just three days ago, three people were shot dead at a shopping mall in Oregon. Two weeks ago, a football player shot his girlfriend dead and then committed suicide. Five months ago, 12 people were killed and 58 wounded in a shooting spree at a midnight screening of a Batman film in Colorado.

The government went on to express a strong dislike of the National Rifle Association while also attacking the Republican Party as somehow complicit in the violence. Conversely, the article heaps praise on the Democratic Party:

The Clinton government launched a series of gun control policies at the end of last century. And the Democrats lost the Congressional election in 1994 and the presidential election in 2000, with the shadow of the NRA present in both defeats.

The current Chinese government, the communist People’s Republic of China, was established in a revolution led by Mao Zedong, who killed an estimated 40-70 million people with starvation, executions, and re-education camps.

Sounds like the current administration, the Demagogue Party, Dear Leader, and all the so called "sensible gun control" groups wrote the Chinese government statement. This is an administration that kills its own people and so is ours with their abortion and "health care" positions.

It's comical when dopey dictators around the world, who violate human rights routinely, criticize the behaviors and rights of others.
All you can do is laugh.
If we had a normal president, he'd be laughing too.
Maybe China should be condemning all knives while they're at it.

Have to agree John and Elizabeth; this was just too good to not post as we all needed to get our laugh of the day.

I agree, John, it was like reading the reprint of an Obama speech.  Now he has appointed VP Biden to work on the new gun issues; now that is another good laugh for he day.  Just what we needed.

Wasn't it Biden that said in 2008 - "Obama isn't going to get my shotgun."

Sure was, Tara Jane.  And that may be true, it will just be everyone else's shotgun Obama gets.  This man is crazy and they want him to come up with the answers?

In Washington there seems to be "loss of memory" on the part of our congress people and our president on who said what and when!  Or perhaps it's "Convenient Memory Lapses."

More a lack of honesty and accountability.

Sandra: That is why there is the big push for "gun control" legislation which is really designed to protect the government and those whose occupation is politics and top down government control. Unfortunately. the factually and logically deprived voted for those again this year. Not surprising that some of the loudest braying voices for this are the likes of Bloomberg, Schumer, Dear Leader Obama, Feinstein, Pelosi, and the same crew that wants to tell us what to do and how to live according to their ideas of what is "best for us" (also frequently what they don't do themselves). The main "safety" issue they are worried about is the "safety" of big government and their power trip.

As much as this world boggles the mind, I find there is always something that sends my mind spinning. "China" has the audacity to finger point!!!.........Are there no limits to the madness engulfing this world? But all the same, I have to wonder what China's interest could be in such a verbal pose. Did China turn pacifist when I blinked last?

Everything is getting stranger and stranger by the day.  Weird is in and common sense is out.

I cannot fathom the upside rationale of these people and I don't want to waste my brain energy as I am too old and tired and this is something I cannot wrap my head around anyway.

Joe Biden to the rescue, leadig the gun parade... oh well.

Do these people drink, drug it up, or is this what they consider normal?

Because we owe the Chinese so much money do they now think they have this much  power telling us what to do with guns? are we not paying them the money back we owe?  Is this the new format in our relationship with China?

Feinstein, Reid, good ol' Joe Biden, Rosie O'Donnell among other Liberals are such hypocrites.   Carrying guns for protection is fine for them, but not for anyone else.  I heard that since the shootings at Sandy Hook, NRA new memberships have gone up by 8000 a day!

Sandy, I hear this and feel much the same.  As for the new membership, I read something about that, too and we are gong to see major division if Obama pushes on banning guns.  Gun sales are up since he was re-elected as well.  As I have heard repeatedly, the vast majority of gun owners are safe, sane and responsible with their weapons and in their life.

Here is something that will get people thinking, I am sure.  A very good friend who is now retired from law enforcement where he served 31 years, was telling me in an  email that people would be very concerned if they new the number of police officers and deputy sheriff officers that have severe drinking problems to the point of alcoholism, that suffer from depression, suffer from obsessive/compulsive disease and like he himself suffer from ADHD and AD.  That it is not limited to the civilian population; even those intrusted to protect you suffer from these things.  They don't talk about it as they could be lose their job and they don't seek treatment as this would get back to their superiors, too.  Therefore, the do their best to hide it and control it on their own.  That there have been those that have lost their ability to do this.  He said to look close at some of the instances such as the abusive treatment of those they arrest, excessive force, etc. as these are results of some of these type of officers.

These people not only own firearms, but they carry them on there person on or off duty, once they retire they are issued a lifetime conceal carry permit, etc.  He has one.

I remember being in his home visiting he and his wife and he had shotguns in every room, some just propped against the wall.  He had a gun safe full of firearms as he collects them.  Did I mention that the shotguns in each room are kept loaded at all times; other than when he cleans them each month?  Did I mention that all his neighbors and their children know he has them and they are out in the open like that?  Did I mention he works as a secuirity guard now and when he and his wife are at work that their home is unattended for as much as 10 hours a day?  Did I mention it is in a rural area easily accessable and if someone were inclined they could break into his home during the day and no one would notice as all the homes in the area are inhabited by people that work the same hours as he and his wife?

So concern has to go deeper as even those that know better, that are supposed to be very disciplined in guns and their safety, even these people can be irresponsible.

But I still maintain that my person position is that we should be allowed to retain our freedom of gun ownership.  There is as much or actually more of a chance I will be killed by a drunk driver or in a traffic accident than by a firearm.  I don't just say it, I know it to be a fact. I am more likely to be killed in a traffice accident involving an automobile, pickup, SUV, etc. than on an airplane, train or bus.  We have to be responsible, yes, but we can't live our life in fear either.

Does anyone remember the picture of the tanks in Tianniamin Square going after peaceful demonstrators? This is the country giving us "advice"?

Linda: Interesting comment. People should keep in mind as well that there isn't law enforcement right around the corner in many parts of the country that has large rural areas with limited coverage. There are also issues as well in come area that have budget problems where law enforcement is frequently one of the first things cut in a crisis. Then there is also the issue with "affirmative action" suits in staffing where those who usually wouldn't have qualified for physical, mental, and even criminal record reasons were put on a force to meet a requirement.

I well remember Tianamen Square.  I was there with my husband in '89 just a couple months before this happened. My daughter went there on a H.S.trip with several other students and their teachers about 7 years ago. She lived with a Chinese family for a week.  She loved the family she stayed with in Kaifeng (our sister city) and liked seeing the historical sites, but there was a lot she was glad to leave behind.  She hated Beijing.  Said the place scared her.  Both she & my husband have seen the Chinese countryside.  The living & health conditions are appalling.  Really appalling!!!    China has a lot of gall saying anything about our country when human rights there are rock bottom.    The Chinese gov't should try looking in the mirror and cleaning up their act first before attempting to tell us how we ought to run our country.

I remember this as well, John and Sandy and yes, this amazes me that the Chinese government has the audacity to tell the U.S. anything about what is humane and what is not.  Sandy, my ex boss sad the same thing about China, that the conditions of the people in the rural countryside is horrible.  Even in the cities it is not the best.  But then that is what "sharing the wealth is all about" isn't it?  The problem is that the liberals in our Country don't realize that the wealth somehow never trickles down to the people, it stays with the leaders; Communism does not allow for the wealth to truly be shared.  I also know that when my boss was there it was to consider opening a plant to start manufacturing our products in China and one thing that was disturbing is that the government dictated what he would be allowed to pay the workers and he was not allowed to pay more.  They would be getting Fifty cents per hour.  Now isn't that encouraging, too.  How many people in the U.S., especially those union workers, would work for that salary?  Well, they had better be careful as it could get that bad if we don't get this mess figured out.

This IS the Christmas season and my sweet daddy told me, years ago, that during this time of year we should be nice to our friends and neighbors.  That we should bestow words of kindness and cheer.  But I do believe that if my sweet daddy were alive today he wouldn't mind my saying this.......

Our Dear Leader (thanks John) Obama should grow some cajones and tell the Chinese to....

do something to themselves that is actually physically impossible

China calling the shots now...really!  Well, they do own us but to hell with them!  I have mixed feeling on assault weapons..I do..but China!  God help us.

God bless Eli!  You are always in my thoughts and prayers.  Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas!

We also have to keep in mind that some countries hate the United States because of how we live our lives as free people.    China needs to be ignored.

Happy Holidays, Eli.    As we celebrate this beautiful time of the year in our way, we know this time of year gets us in touch with who we are and what is important in our lives.
