Bank of America Freezes Gun Manufacturer's Account, Company Owner Claims
2 years ago

By Gregory Gwyn-Williams, Jr.

Bank of America has reportedly frozen the account of gun manufacturer American Spirit Arms, according to its owner, Joe Sirochman.

In a Facebook post dated December 29, Sirochman wrote the following:

“My name is Joe Sirochman owner of American Spirit Arms...our Web site orders have jumped 500 percent causing our Web site e-commerce processing larger deposits to Bank of America. So they decided to hold the deposits for further review.

“After countless hours on the phone with Bank of America, I finally got a manager in the right department that told me the reason that the deposits were on hold for further review -- her exact words were -- ‘We believe you should not be selling guns and parts on the Internet.’”(emphasis added)

Sirochman also wrote that he told the bank manager that “they have no right to make up their own new rules and regs” and that “[American Spirit is a] firearms manufacturer with all the proper licensing.”

He also noted that he has been doing business with Bank of America for over 10 years, but will now be looking for a new bank.

According to Unlawful News, this isn't the first time Bank of America has targeted a customer involved in the firearms industry.

McMillan Group International was reportedly told that its business was no longer welcome after the company started manufacturing firearms – even after 12 years of doing business with the bank.

BOA: JUST ANOTHER PUPPET

This is happening all around us and we are allowing this socialist government to keep growing.

McMillan has been a customer of Bank of America and produces rifles for our Military Snipers.

McMillan Mfg in Phoenix, Arizona, was contacted by Bank of America and   informed that they will no longer be allowed to use their services (Bank of America) because they are in the firearms business

McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International has been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years.

Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking   (Bank of America) came to my office.

He scheduled the meeting as an "account analysis" meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them.

At this point I interrupted him and asked "Can I possibly save you some time so that you don't waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer want my business."  "That is correct", he says.

I replied "That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that B of A is not firearms-industry friendly?" "You have to do what you must", he said.

"So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?"

Mr. Fox confirmed that it was.  At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing left for him to say. I think it is important for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment "right to keep   and bear arms" should know when a business does not support these rights.

What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don't agree with a business' political position, I cannot, in good Conscience support them.

We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products.

Frank, thank you for adding this and my advice to those that are supporters of the 2nd Amendment, it is time to withdraw your funds from B of A if you bank with them and take them to a friendly bank.  Also, we might all want to contact our respective banks to confirm that they are 2nd amendment friendly and if not, move our accounts to one that is.  This is so wrong on so many fronts and I refuse to do business with any institution or company that does not support and encourage the Constitution of the U.S.  I am done with political correctness; I will not be a part of this sort of bigotry and refuse to allow Obama and the liberal Congress manipulate me; it is time stand up and make our statement.  The best way is to move our money, that is what will send the most significant message to B of A and any others that are playing this game.  And don't think your account doesn't benefit them, it is the interest they make on even a dollar that they don't want to lose.

As we speak BOA is closing branches nation wide, they are in a financial pickle, so it fits that they are taking orders from this socialistic President as they will not bite the hand that feeds them. So we can say good bye to more taxpayers blood money.

The Gun Control issue is just a smoke screen to divert your attention from THE REAL ISSUES THAT COUNT.
