Ever played "tag"? Course you have. It might have a different name in many countries but is basically the same game. A chase game whereby someone is 'tagged' or 'tigged' it and they then have to chase others until the 'tag' or 'tig' is passed on to another player without reaching a predetermined area.
So, is it a safe game? Well, what could be dangerous about it?
Well, a school in Northumberland, England has banned the game because, as they say, it's "too dangerous".
This is what Pathetic News is all about. Bringing to light such ridiculous factors such as this.
Tag is a centuries old game and is played and has been played, by countless children for generations, but all of a sudden, in this crazy mixed up politically correct society we find ourselves now embroiled in, the fun is fast dissapearing from our children's lives. This is something I feel very strongly about, hence the Pathetic News forum. Everything is becoming absolutely and stupefying ridiculous, mainly because of the 'compensation culture' now being built on a global scale. Many authoritive figures are pertified they will be sued, such as the headmaster of this school in England.
It has surpassed the realms of impossiblity and driven the odds of creating a funless future society, way up the scale.
This school has also banned a game called 'British Bulldog'. A game not too disimilar to 'tag', as being 'too rough'. I mean, what kind of people are our children going to become without a bit of basically, harmless rough and tumble, it's character building.
Anyway, whether you agree or disagree, air it here, it makes no difference to me if you agree with me or disagree with me, that is your perogative, but I will continue to highlight what is deemed to be pathetic news, if only to educate non British citizens of what this ridiculous culture is doing to our society and our traditional ways of life. As well as those that maybe, probably are, happening in other nations now....
Who do we blame? And more importantly, how do we stop them and bring about an implementation of old family values and rasing kids as they should be raised. Your thoughts.....

My kids play tag all the time, but it is a young kids game, what point is there in banning it when there are far more dangerous 'games' out there that kids will play if the more childish games are not allowed. I know of kids who play chicken, where running across busy roads without getting hit is considered by then to be fun. I, for one, think that there are people in the government who missed out on their own childhood and now feel the need to take playtime away from kids now.

Whilst wandering the internet (as you do) I came across this little snippet from the BBC news.
'A school has banned children from taking pencil cases into class in case they are used to hide sharp weapons.
St Anne's Primary School in Denton, Greater Manchester, acted after a boy was cut with a letter opener by a pupil who had hidden it in a pencil case.'
I suppose this in a way is it the government or the society in which we live is to blame?
