So we didn't get to move...house prices, HIP packs and all that rubbish....so now we are looking at a total debt clearance and some form of self-sufficent thing...we have some chickens and are growing some veg...thats it at the moment though.
Sorry I've not been about, bit of a cancer scare, did you know you can get skin cancer under the nail of your big toe? no me neither, so I am hobbling about now, waiting for the biospy results to come back, worse case senario being I'll have to have my toe off - which will of course seriously curtail my flip-flop wearing this summer, but never mind.
We're off on that 'secret' holiday on Saturday, I still haven't told the kids, they think we're going somewhere for the day!!!! heheheheheh...
Shall give you the gen when I return......

Thanks Ivana, I have been very lax in looking after this site due to all the kids, returning to work and, well to tell the truth my husband is a 'World of Warcraft' addict, so even getting near the computer is hard work!
I promise for the new year I will be a better host.

Can you have a shared "P" ? Hope so ! then you can also visit Perú in Southamerica. We're a very interesting country full of ancient remains from our old culture the Incas, many interesting and traditional places to visit, beautiful landscapes to see and take photos . Our sunny coast all along the country with blue sea and white sand, delicious seafood to try and many places to visit like The Nazca Lines or Paracas. Our marvellous highland full of peeks ,mountains ,volcanoes, old ,small towns with traditional and exciting places like Cuzco and Macchu Picchu(well known as the Navel from the Earth). And last but not least our exciting and cautivating jungle with beautiful waterfalls , wild and exotic animals , excellent weather and delicious food.
And this is only a little piece of Peru , we have a lot more to show you , so come and visit us!
I was actually looking at some sites today about fulltime RVing. I just wish I could afford to go now!! But it's going to take the next 4 years to clear the junk...and what with Theo/Ethan (haven't decided yet!) being born in July, we'll wait till he is at least out of nappies and a pushchair!

Hi Emma, I think you will like the site http://www.rvtravel.com they will send you newsletters (if you like) and since the author is from Northwest U.S. you will see places to visit in the U.S. But, you will see something more important to you - tips about maintaining your RV, etc. Also, it has been my experience that some of the books they sell on their website can be obtained at a less expensive used book price on Amazon.com

Every Country have a beautiful place to visit January 13, 2006 10:51 AM
Hi Emma, I'm a crazy-human being for travelling, as you. I love visiting new and wonderful places, nothing compare to the sensation. Even if you know you will be never again to that place, is so good to feel that experience. I would recommend to visit a awesome place. It called "Laguna Brava" or, near that, "Corona del Inca", it's placed here, in Argentina, where I live. The province where is located both places is "La Rioja", you can see at the northwest of the country. That place blown your mind away, make you feel too much deep feeling when you're there. I beg you make your investigations, see some picts from the web, and I guess you will choose these places. And you will spend no much money, it will be no expensive at all for you.
That's right, if you go for nature, warm weather, a dive and swim in clear waters, or wonderful sights with a host of wonderful people..... then do come visit our country.... the Philippines.
As a bit of a recon. mission, we are looking to going on a mini cruise next year to Holland and Belguim (mini as in we only get one day in each country!!)
And I have just recieved a brochure for planned trek holidays...as in 22 days of camel trekking over north Africa, prices are a bit scary but as the youngest guest they will allow is 14 I have 12 years to save up....

...Emma, Okinawa is one of Japan's Prefectures. It was its own kingdom oh-so long ago (I think the 16th century?) and there are people who still speak the native tongue. Okinawa has a rich distinct culture...and the people are really nice. It's located just about equal distance from the southern tip of "mainland" Japan and Taiwan...
My six year old told me yesterday, that when she grows up she wants to be a teacher in Africa, "and help poor people", Anyone been to Africa, not just the touristy bits,?
I have a friend living in Gambia at the moment, but have yet to go myself....

Hi Emma,
I haven't been everywhere, but here are my best answers:
C is for Cairns, Australia, which is a lovely little place that looks as though it has been cut out of a rainforest.
N is for Nicaragua, specifically San Juan del Sur for some Spanish classes and friendly people.
S is for Sabah, Malaysia, for some of the most beautiful wildlife in the world.
Now you just need 23 more letters! Good luck!

Hi, I have been around this Planet some. There are some pictures in my album "Places I have seen". Take a look if you like! My favourite places so far are Rio (number one), Valparaiso, Cape Town and some more.... Good luck!
finished 26 threads for you to post in...now if you were the first here they would have all been in order...hopefully once people start adding to them, they will be in no kind of order at all...tell me about the places you have seen and the places I should avoid...
And I may even send some postcards!!! When I eventually get there!!
I have even convinced my husband this is a good idea..and we plan to go in 2010..so we are researching motorhomes..
Anyone know anything about them? or RV living?
The only problem now is clearing out 30 years worth of crap from our house !!! And getting used to living in a tidy organised space..can be a pack-rat in a van!!!
You know when people are drunk and they come out with the most amazing things (no not vomit!!) I mean the sort of philosophical ramblings that would impress the greatest of Greeks.
One that let it's impression on me was this " think of all the people in this world who you will never meet, think of all the places you will never see" - okay it's not Plato or anything... but it go me thinking.
Think of all that time we work, gaining money to gain possessions.. seems so pointless really.. I mean it's only more stuff for the kids to fight over when you're dead.
so the point of this site? (I'm getting there, stay with me!!)
I am considering selling everything I own and going off on a huge 'round the World' tour. Now - as an orderly sort /i would like to know all about the best places in order, so I would like you to help me compile an A-Z of the world; th best places to visit the places to avoid. Even if you have never travelled, tell me about YOUR part of the world. Soon we will hae a comprehensive work!!!
Welcome to The World!!!!
