I'm going to try to post in the group share.
nice one Ralph, only 34 sigs on this one. i really do not like that they raised the signature threshold on wh.gov petitions. 25k/30 days isnt enough time as it isnt even searchable until it gets 150 signatures.
Well, then! Let's get it over the 150 threshold ASAP. I'm forwarding to all my friends! This one is real vital to the movement! Thanks to Ralph for filing it!
#35 now, I'll see if I can get some more!
I think they under estimated the number of people that would visit the site and take part in trying to set the agenda and that is why they upped it from the original 5,000 to 25,000. The requirement for 150 signatures before it gets to the Open Petitions is another way they attempt to reduce the number of petitions that actually get to the President. What is more frustrating is the difficulty people are having accessing the petition while in the pre Open Petition hiding place. The post I made in the News Section has more than a hundred notes, but as you saw only 34 have been able to sign.
I think that some may have had 'second' thoughts as to 'registering' on a gov.t site or any site perhaps, in order to sign in and sign the petition. Just a thought....
#37, and shared, thank you

My granddaughter decided to put a smiley up. Good pick, right?
I signed the petition. I'm only #48???
To be honest, and that's me, if it gets me in trouble or not. When I saw the low numbers I thought maybe there was something in the petition like bad language or violence. Sorry. It was well written and very simply put, we would like to have the excessive violcence toward peaceful....well, y'all know what it says.
Why would people not sign that? This is very wrong what is happening. People have fought wars and died for our constitutional rights and they are being violated. I realize I'm new here, maybe a few of you may not even like me, but this is not about me.
Did you post this at the petition site? May I post this in another group and try to get more signatures?
PS...is there a trick to getting emotis to work in this group? Mine dont.

Petitions signed that allow a UK address.
All the help that can be given is appreciated. Post any of the petitions anywhere you like. Mine currently has 50 and still needs a 100 to get to the Open Petitions page where everyone can see it. I feel certain it will get the 25,000 needed if it doesn't take too long to get to the Open Petitions page.
I bank at US Bank. I am closing my account tomorrow. I am a 16 year + State Empliyee and I have to have direct deposit. My choice is to have what is called a pay card. This is a very scary move for me. But I'm also very angry at the same time and refuse to be pushed around, ripped off and lied to by the bank I am a customer of and then talked down to about it. I am a Case Manager II with 16 years seniority, dor the amount of money I deposit and the bank helps themselves to I deserve total respect.
Well, it's a brave new world, gotta be brave in it, right? Right!
Hiya, Spooky! Here in NYC on October 15,- 24 people were arrested for trying to close their Citibank accounts!!!! Thats a true story! lol... "Disorderly Conduct and Tresspassing" they called it!
The Wall Street Journal has confirmed the arrests. According to their report, 24 people were arrested. The protesters who tried to close their accounts were asked to leave by CitiBank and when they refused, they were arrested for trespassing. Some were arrested outside the bank for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

kudos to everyone for standing up to those who disrespect the voices of the citizens. I PLEDGE MISERY TO BANKS AND MULTINATIONAL CORPORATIONS. Know a few people in journalism.
Reaaly? Guess I'll do mine by phone! Thanks for the heads up. I've been so busy I didn't get around to it and really need to do it tomorrow.
I delivered 508 lbs of assorted green and ripe tomatoes to my local homeless shelter today and some Panera bread. This was after work.
Got to make time to do the bank thing. No more legal stealing of my hard earned dollars.
im moving mine to a credit union that i have a car loan through.
I just spoke to the 24 hour banker. I wanted a record of my complaint. She offered to take down a form. I asked a form be mailed to me. She actually said "No, that can't be done." Afer some conversation I did get her to provide me with an email address. At the very least, this will be in my words. I'll cc me and if there is no reply, that'll spesk for itself. I am just one of many this is happening to. When I think how much money the bank is making by unscrupulous practices I just shake my head.
My name is Susanne R. (Sue) and I'm new to this group. My friend Horsehockey Horace was kind enough to invite me, and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this effort.
I just signed the petition Ralph posted, and the count was at 53! I'll do my best to spread the word because it's such an important issue.
welcome to the group Susanne nice to have you join us
I've already signed most of the petitions for which members have provided links and took the opportunity to sign those I hadn't yet seen. I, too, am outraged by what the Wall Street criminals have gotten away with and how poorly those who were hurt by the Wall Street bankers' taxpayer-funded bailout are being treated. The police, who are among the 99%, are forced to physically subdue and/or arrest those who are actually protesting on THEIR behalf as well as their own. They even find themselves facing off against veterans, who are dealing with painful war-related issues in addition to the many problems that have ruined the lives of so many of the 99%. People are being evicted from their homes and losing everything they have, and the bankers respond by watching them from their balconies while laughing and toasting each other with champagne. Are they really that pleased with themselves for what they got away with? There are so many issues covered by this protest, and they're all important. I'm glad that people are doing what they can to made the 1% accountable for their actions.
Thank you, Victoria! I appreciate your welcoming comment and look forward to many interactions in the future!
we petition the obama administration to: Protect The People’s Constitutional Right Of Assembly.
We the citizens of the United States of America implore you to put a stop to the police brutality taking place against the peaceful protesters exercising their Constitutional rights to assemble on Public property. You supported the rights of the people in the Arab Spring, now it is time to support the rights of the citizens of your own country to protest injustice. Stop the brutal actions like those in Oakland, Calif. on October 25, 2011 before someone is killed. American blood is being spilled and you have a responsibility to put a stop to it.
Thank you, Susanne, for your help! It's great to see you here!

End the 30 Billion in US Aid to Israel
Dear Congress and President Obama:
As we lead up to the International Day of Democracy on September 15, we, American taxpayers ask you to end the 30 billion in military aid allotted to Israel from 2009 to 2018. We oppose the use of our tax dollars to fund Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory. The occupation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip is illegal, dangerous to both Israelis and Palestinians, and undemocratic.
At a time when the American economy has reached a breaking point, when American schools are struggling, when our cities are strapped for revenues, we are outraged that the US would continue to fund ongoing violence and human rights abuses toward Palestinians. This money should be spent to revitalize communities, create jobs, and provide after-school programs in American public schools. With this money, we could have lowered our national debt. Instead, the US Government has prioritized Israel's destructive military ambitions above the needs of the American people.
We ask that the US end this 30 billion in aid as it is harmful to the well-being of Americans, Israelis, and Palestinians and is a roadblock to true democracy in the Middle East.

I actually had someone tell me that the Occupy Movement is a bunch of Nazis! Then they sent me a clearly bogus article! Ugh! Earlier today I came across a petition to stop fake news. There is a reason for everything and a reason why BOTH happen within seconds of each other! So, now I am promoting the petition. http://act2.freepress.net/sign/fakenews/ PLEASE sign!!! If anyone wants to write an article and promote it further you are more than welcome, as I will not complain I saw it first, in fact I would thank you for helping to get the word out!! I just don't have enough time to write any articles and I am able to only do so much. Thanks so much for your time everyone!!! :_ Thanks so much!!!!
Thanks Nancy for the invite, All above petitions I have already signed, It is so nice to be apart of this group.

Gladly signed Bloomberg petition
protect consumers over wall street
boycott exxon mobil
Stop "insider trading" in Wall Street by those in and around Congress by passing The Stock Act HR114
they should be made to donate all the money they made to the homeless and the hungry.
Thanks Victoria - signed all - although they're still "tamer" than I'd like - not Exxon - but then that's really a "pipe dream" IMHO -
As for Bloomberg - one would think that a man of his heritage would not be capable of practicing tactics that are reminiscent of Kristelnacht! but - hey - I've thought the same about Israel - Zuccotti Park is Bloomberg's Palestine!!!
stop attacking our free press
no deep cuts to medicare/medicaid
Bank of America puts profits ahead of people and the planet. We live in a time when the twin opportunities of job creation and the transition to a green economy are not only within reach, but desperately needed. Yet Bank of America, more than any other bank, continues to prop up coal, a dirty, 19th-century energy source.

Came to make sure all where signed, and theu are except for 2.
One wouldn't let me add my zip for some stupid reason (android?), and the other was, you guessed it, Ralphs.
I have tried to sign that since day 1. I have an account, and have signed others on there in the past. But it absolutely will not show my signature on this one!
I am so frustrated with it..but i'll try again. I even contacted the site to find out if its android related, but no info came back..it shouldn't be that anyway since i've signed before..if anyone knows what the problem might be would you shoot me a note?
Have a great and safe weekend to all...1love.
Thank you Victoria. Gladly signed Hands Off My Social Security
