Beautifuls and handsomes
I would love to have one of each of the other language testies please. And, thanks for correcting my very poor German there, Schaft... oops, forgot how to spell your name. Forgive me please.
I gave ye a testy Martti! Broken german..
anything special you want to have? Proposals?
do ya want it???
btw...I'll also take a TURKISH TESTY if you're offering.
a tiny bit of Spanish ... uno, dos, tres ...
And Japanese, too ... ichi, ni, san, she, go (spelling phonetically) ...
Merci, Merci Daphne...I it!!
Ok, who knows Italian????
Merci.
Those who have asked for French testimonials, please check your testimonials now. I had to shorten the original, but it is still ok, I think.
Anyone else want this French testimonial? May I have one in French, too, please? Thank you.
Je ne pense pas que c'est trop long, j'ai aimée. Merci beaucoup -
linguistiques. Démuni I parlé ou écrit en français depuis 1981.
Bienvenue, Liane Camille.
votre testimonial ?
My French is pretty bad but if you don't get a FRENCH TESTY soon I will try and ecrire un pour vous. Qu'est ce que c'est le mot pour try?
Also, hopefully one of our more technically skilled members will be sending you those other TESTIES you requested.
OK...I see someone would want a translation
I'm new here....I come from Paris, France and maybe someone could write me a testie in French? I see Uniino wants one in French too...I can write you a testie in French!!!
I'd like a testie in French too in return !!!
make you a custom testy, Morgan.
I have ideas forming.
N'est-ce pas merveilleux.. même en français ...
I really like the "May he not burn in hell!! " part!
SOOO I´m not nice????!!!
And Ann...why afraid..?? Was I too kind....
I'm afraid he does .......
Oh..problems with that word?? NICE!!
Anniina...is he telling the truth more or less?
He...do you use to count the "i":s in Anniina, or do you only put the key some times..?? haha..
Hmm...something like this...:
"Marty is completely insane!!! Only an equal madman can understand what´s going on in his brain. The madness has created more laughs than any other person on care2. May he not burn in hell!! "
Didn´t know that..
What do yo mean 'if she understands' ? Keep in mind I grew up with swedish childrens TV.....
Have you figured out what they say....or you´re just satisfied as it is..??
Maybe Anniina can help.....if she understand..
Carl and Morgan.
Janey sent me the one with hebrew letters and yes, they do work
for some other language testies! Janey wrote Hebrew (I think). Will those characters work? Has anyone tried it?
Do you speak/write Turkish?
Am I asking a stupid question?
The sun is raising: do what I see? An enormous yellow creature brought forth before me. I bow my head and close my eyes but what it was to my surprise: Their big fat donkeyto willing as me kiss it.
Creature and kreatur sounds very much the same, but the meaning is slightly different. Kreatur is rarely used and it sounds kind of mysterious, like an unidentified living being taken out of a Lovecraft novel..at least in this context.
Stenge mine øyne/ close my eyes - this is a sentence that works in english but not in Norwegian. In norwegian you can close (stenger) a shop or a door, but not your eyes...
Esel = donkey å = to Does'nt make any sense when put together in one word.
Shhht, dont tell it to anyone, but I'm running the most unambigious art gallery in Oslo, doing everything from curating to washing floors. The pay is practically non-existent though, as it's all based on volunteering and DIY etichs. Officially I'm just a single mom paid by the goverment for being just that, a single mom. Hip Hurray for the social-democratic society of Norway..or what's left of it !!
Please try to translate it back to me... I forgot whatever I said, too... just used a translater online...
btw Sorry I'm a bit late in responding. Have'nt been as much online as normal the past few days. Too much work to do...and this is what they call 'to be unemployd'
Also would you, pretty please, send me MONA"s prank TESTY translated into Norwegian?
Schlaftie - !
Janey - Yup, thats what I ment! Thanks...And who knows, maybe we find ourself getting all slipperty-jipper together 15 years from now. Mmmh, never say never...
I love your metaphor of Hebrew letters! I'll remember that. And I wrote you that testy for your profile... is that what you meant? You have some far-out pics in your albums. I can tell that you're someone I would've loved to get all slipperty-jipper with about 15 years ago!
the picture thing has to wait for a while...nevermind curiosity is good!
thanks for reminding me of my mistake...I am sometimes a grest fool..
If there are other testies I should translate, just call for me..maybe it will take some time, but I will do it...
Bons temps..
Go to the 2nd ethics question thread. I posted something there specifically intended for you, and I'd like to know your thoughts...it's all about, well...ethics (Yours and mine seem to be similar, while Marty is a bit more anarchist)
I felt kind of weird having a testy from Marty because he was testing the system.
Actually, I prefer it that way too...felt kind of weird having two testies from Marty right in a row, even though he was testing the system.
And hey thanks, You guys have made my day!!!
Siannan. Did'nt work cause it does'nt translate to any scandinavian language. But it translates t o french so it should be pretty easy for you to chech out it's veracity.
Milissa. I'm waiting with the scottish testie, at least until someone has posted a testie after the norwegian one I posted....ok?Or am I being...err..milky again.
Can someone do me a favour and find me a better word??????
Hi Anniina! Well my parents are from turkey. I am turkish and german.
Ich liebe es!
Hmmm.... I wonder how accurate these translations are
Unfortunately, the translator failed on the apparent absence of a Russian word for 'testimonial', which is pretty vital, I guess, LOL
Schlaftablette Good to see you here. Did'nt know you could speak Turkish How come?
I want it in Scottish too!!
And in Spanish if anyone knows Spanish...
I'm not accepting any other testy's until I've got that one in 4 different languages on my profile page for at least 2 days!!!
Sen hayatimin günesisin, sen olmasan care2`nun artik hic bir anlami kalmaz. Iyiki varsin!
You are my sunshine. Care2 without you would be unbearable. Thank God you are here!
Awwww I love hebrew letters.*hearsmile* They look like the footsteps of a dancing bird inprinted in snow. I'll take it..if you want to give it to me, that is.
bana yardim edebilirmisiniz?
Könnten Sie mir helfen?
....and yes I know that 'milky' does'nt make any sense at all in this context, but I just could'nt find the word I were looking for.
Hey Milissa, What about a scottish version as well? That must be as close to a forreign language you can come while still keeping it inside the borders of the english language...at least in my ears.
Okey then Marty, this is your chance. If you're fast you can claim the scottie one before Milissa does.He-he. Life is rough, I know.
Thes testimonial was aquired ben th' wonderful crew testy moany al, haur oan care2. it means naethin'. in fact, mona wrote it herself, Ah jist translated it.
Siannan. Thanks for the link....I still return there from time to time just to have a laugh.
You're into conceptual art as well?!
Could I have this in a foriegn language? Perhaps more than one foreign language...could be very cool:
This testimonial was aquired through the wonderful group Testy Moany Al, here on Care2. It means nothing. In fact, Mona wrote it herself, I just translated it.
Feel free to post the translations to be picked up by anyone else who might want it...
Selam, eger cok isterseniz ben size uyduruk bir seyler yazabilirim.Hani zaten kimse benim yazdigimi anlamaz...
Oder ich schreibe euch in Deutsch. Was ihr wollt. Ich warte nur auf Bestellungen eurerseits!
I can even try latin...but I wouldn`t pay for it...
Dedicado a mi pinche amig(o/a).
Dedicated to my frickin' friend.
Thank you so very much...even though I had to read the whole English translation again to make any sense out of it...oh well, that's kind of the point of the whole thing now isn't it?
Hopefully i don`t scare you with my "old" English!
I can't even translate pig Latin!
I like Anne's testie in plain old English!! Can I have it??? Huh??? Please? Maybe with one or two foreign language words in it...but not too many, my brain can't handle much more
Bring on the Pig Latin Testies!!!
What do people think about translating their other (than English) TESTIES?
TMAers from around the
Who was i thinking about?
Are we international or what!Good to see you here, Anne, all the way from Estonia, eh?. So tell me,what does it say?
Hmm Maybe thats what I'm supposed to NOT ask about. Forgive me, my curiousity is out of control.
Carl I got our first other language TESTY up.
Du kanst nich immer der Gewinner sain.
You can't allways be the winner.
And to all you non-swedes; I can highly recommand this testie.Dont bother asking for a translation, just order it!.. Before someone else does.
Sounds deep and mysterious,eh?
..So here's the translation : God, look at the time! My wife will kill me!
i did it... and manage to put in quite a lot å,ä and ö... hope that it stays so the c2c dont take away the little dots...
in a variety of languages.
Unfortunately, I could never pull together a nice testy in a language other than American English. I suck.
comming up soon...
at a topic near you...
How about some TESTIES in Swedish, Norwegian, Latin, Spanish...any other language besides English?
We monolinguals in the USA would probably have little to no idea what you're saying, so you could say anything.
How that might add to the elements of fun, mystery, chance, snarkiness, sincerity and tomfoolery I can only begin to speculate. But I for one would be happy to rceive TESTIES I don't understand in languages I don't understand. I already don't understand some of the TESTIES written in a language I do understand.*hearsmile*
