Suggested books for your sorrow trails... May 04, 2005 2:12 PM

Folks, I read alot and enjoy books immensely and when a well written book comes along that touches my soul I pass it along. I bid that you also do the same. I read books that are non-fiction mostly and aid me in my sorrow trails, that give me hope & promise of life beyond us. I just finished reading the book entitled: "Forever Ours", written by Janet Amatuzio, M.D. The lady is by profession, a forensic pathologist folks but the book is full of hope, promise and joy in the hereafter.  Definitely worth the time to read and you can read this book in one sitting like I did yesterday at the polls since we had a small special election here in Ohio. So if you need an uplifting book of spiritual promise, give her read. I think you will be glad that you did. And than come back here and tell me what stories you enjoyed about her book.  May the soul lights of our loved ones shine upon yours today. ---ginger  [ send green star]

Dear Ginger,

I looked for "Forever Ours" but I don't think it's on sale in Italy, so I'll try to find it through "Amazon.com".  Do you have anything else to recommend?  Tks.

Yes, Amazon.com would be a great place to find her book. May 09, 2005 5:33 AM

Yes, Guiliana, amazon.com would be a great place to find her book.

I had hoped that she would be available internationally but perhaps not yet since it is so new. If you request at your local library do they not try and find this book for you from another library? Sort of like an inter-library loan? I read books by Raymond Moody and books that deal with near death experiences and read books by those that write about after death experiences with loved ones.  Many of our loved ones do visit us in such special and unique ways that whenever I read these books I feel hope and my spirit is uplifted. That book is: "Messages & Miracles" Extraordinary Experiences of the Bereaved by: Lousie E. LaGrand, Ph.D.

I have read a couple books by James Van Praagh that help with grief. "Talking to Heaven",  "Heaven & Earth". I would watch his program on WGN, "Beyond" and there were some days that just that show alone gave me some relief during the early days of my sorrow journey. Because early on relief is rare to come by folks. Peace & blessings--ginger

I love Dr. Moody, Ginger!  I have all of his books (in the original language) and I have met him in person at a Congress here in Italy!  He's the most interesting combination of a medical doctor, a resercher, a scientist, a philosopher and an experimenter!

I also like Van Praagh and his books were very helpful, especially in the initial stage, just like you said.

Right now, I'm reading "The Purpose of Your Life". by Carol Adrienne, who is the co-author of "The Celestine Prophecy" (which I have in Italian).

Thanks for the info.  I'll keep you posted on what I can find.
