If grief turns to joy July 11, 2006 5:45 AM

Joy can even turn to grief.....Have you ever wondered about that! Even though Italy won the cup, what came out of the Italian player only goes to show how much of discrimination there is in the world.

Reserve judgment July 12, 2006 11:50 AM

Since no one has accurately stated what was said, we cannot assume discrimination was involved.  (I've heard the alleged comment, which was denied by the Italian player...)  No one seems to have heard what went on, and the principal person, Zidane, has not spoken.  Realistically, taunting and verbal challenges are a part of any high-level sporting event.  It is a pity that Zidane, after such a long and illustrious career, was not able to control his emotions for a few more minutes.  [ send green star]

Yvonne, my dear...

How wonderful of you to think of me and sports while your Country is going through such a turmoil!

Yes, there was a lot of celebration here!  And fun!

I'm sorry I'm neglecting Care2, but my eye is actually worse after my cataract and lens surgery...  I have an appointment with the ophthalmologist next Tuesday.  Ill keep you posted.

Thanks to all of you for your messages, kudos, etc.  It's great to know someone cares!

Love,

Giuliana aka Princess Little Rock
