Prius recall May 30, 2006 6:12 PM,10166,19311059-31037,00.html TOYOTA was recalling almost one million Prius cars amid safety concerns with the model's steering. Toyota Prius NHW20 model vehicles produced in Japan from July 2003 to November 2005 were being recalled. The recall affects 2596 Australian cars and 990,000 internationally. The recall also affects some Corolla and Avensis models that are not available in Australia.  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

Unfortunately I was unable to access the story in your link. But if it's the story I'm aware of, it sounds like there may be some misunderstanding about the recall. While it is true that Toyota is proactively recalling nearly 1 million vehicles worldwide, please notice that it isn't just the Prius.
