Help NOVA with new car of the future show! December 06, 2006 1:22 PM

Hi NOVA Enthusiasts, Please help NOVA, Emmy award winning Science TV Show, with a segment we are creating on the Car of the Future. We will be focusing on the science behind the new breed of energy efficient vehicles. Click and Clack, the "Car Talk Guys" from NPR, will be hosting the show and will ask questions to alternative-technology gurus and test-drive cutting edge vehicles. Please help us ask the most pressing and interesting questions related to this topic to our panel of experts. Go to: for more info and to submit your questions. 20 lucky respondents will win a DVD prize of NOVA's previous production about driverless vehicles competing in the Mojave Desert,"The Great Robot Race." Winners will be chosen randomly. Thank you in advance for all your help! NOVA Team  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

It has been said that driving in this country contributes a lot to our culture. Some blame higher driving rates for obesity, urban sprawl, traffic congestion, and traffic-related fatalities. With this new golden technology, will attempts at conservation still be pursued? Or will people be willing and able to drive as much as they want wherever they want? Removing the specter of pollution from the public's mind, will this start to spell the demise of public transportation, urban planning, and future efficiency developments for the transportation sector?  [ send green star]  [ accepted]
