Do you love your hybrid? March 05, 2008 2:41 PM

Hi there folks, My name's Cristina Foung (I drive a Prius!). I work for a very small company - we're just launching a network of niche product research/review sites called Huddler.com. By "just," I mean we opened our doors yesterday. And by "network," well...we have one community so far. Our first "Huddle" is all about green products and green living. We have included products ranging from organic household cleaners to solar water heaters. And of course we have hybrid cars! We’ve integrated: * product reviews * user "Product Profiles" * discussion forums * wikis * and many other features. The mission of the Huddle is to get the word out about green products and how to live more lightly on the planet. But I need your help! As with any product research site, it only has value if people participate and help each other. That's exactly why this discussion board is great! People ask questions and there are others who are knowledgeable and interested who can provide some answers. Right now the content is a little sparse. That's where you could make a huge impact. If you drive (or have driven) a hybrid (or any other efficient car), if you've used any other green products, or anything else, adding your words to the conversation would be great. Even 15 minutes of your time would be amazing. The whole thing is free. We're not selling anything. We're just trying to provide a destination where eco-minded consumers can learn not only about what products they may buy in the future, but how to use what they have better. If this sounds at all like something you might be interested in, you can check out the site and/or register at: http://greenhome.huddler.com/ Thanks for reading! ~ Cristina  [ send green star]  [ accepted]

dEAR GROUP: i AM DISABLED AND USE AN ELECTRIC WHEEL CHAIR. iS THERE A HYBRID VEHICLE THAT COULD CARRY A ELETRIC WHEEL CHAIR WITH AN AUTOMATIC LIFE POSSIBLE. I KNOW IT DEPENDS ON THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH OF THE ENTRANCES. i AM NOW USING A HONDA WHICH i WILL NEED TO SELL WITHING SIX MONTHS OR SO SINCE i CAN NOT OR CHOOSE NOT TO SPEND THE MONEY ON PAYMENTS AND WOULD LIKE TO BE ECONOMON AND ECOLOGY MINDED. i WOULD BE MY ABILITY TO GET INTO THE DRIVERS SEAT. i DON'T HAVE TO HAVE FANCY. i COULD GO FOR A TRUCK IF THAT IS POSSIBLE BUT TWO PROBLEMS WITH THAT iS THE ELEVATION OF THE STEP FOR MY GETTING INTO THE FRONT SEAT.AND THE CHAIR BEING EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTS AND ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THIS WOULD CAUSE. aN ALL WHEEL DRIVE OR FOR WHEEL VEHICLE WOULD BE DESIREABLE SINCE i HALF HOPES TO TRAVEL TO LESS DEVELOPED AREAS OF THW WORLD WHERE ROADS ARE POOR.. BOB BUSCH WITH MUCH THANKS FOR ANY HELP THAT i CAN OBTAIN. iT IS A TOURING SEDAN (ALMOST FULLY LOADED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BEING FRONT WHEEL DRIVE AND MISSING A GPS BUT IT HAS LEATHER AND ALL THE FINERY. i WOULD LIKE SOMETHING NOT TOO FINE IF I AM IN A COUNTRY WHERE THEIR IS HIGH RATES OF CAR THEFT. i WOULD EVEN BE WILLING TO TRADE FOR A NEW CAR IN THE LATE TWENTIES (COST) mY VEHICLE IS TWO YEAR OLD AND HAS LESS THAT (SLIGHTLY) LESS THAN 20,000 MILES PER GALLON MILEAGE. iT ALSO HAS NO FLAT TIRES WHICH i DON'T THINK i WILL NEED. mILEAGE IS GOOD WITHOUT A FOUR OR FIVE HUNDRED LBS OF ELECTRIC WHEEL CHAIR WITH TWO HEAVY BATTERIES THAT DRIVE THE CHAIR 25 MILES WITH JUST ELECTRICITY.. i PROBABLY USE THAT WHERE THERE ARE ROADS. a TRUCK WOULD BE FOR MORE COUNTRY. cAN ANY ONE SUGGEST ANY IDEA. mY CAR WAS LISTED AT $39,000 BUT i GOT 2,000 Off incentive and 3.5 % interest for those who propose a trade. My preference is for new but will accept simpler mode of tranportation and being a hybrid. who can haul wheel chair. I am a disabled service connected 100 % veteran for patriots who would like to make me a good trade. Please email me at drbbus@charter.net.
