Emalindi Girls Secondary School, near Kakamega, Kenya.

As I was thinking of places starting with E, I remembered the name of the school in a small village in Kenya, where I was teaching maths and science as a Japanese volunteer - Emalindi Girls Secondary School.

It was then, a quiet and not very outstanding (lol) school. My predecessor tried to introduce biogas to the school as it didn't have access to electricity or gas supply, but was not successful...I also tried to continue but couldn't.

But...just out of plain curiosity, I searched the school, then !!

Hi Naoko, how interesting to read of your work... teaching maths and science in a school without power or gas in Kenya... I bet you have some interesting memories from that time.

Hi Judith, I've been to Hamilton Island, Whitsunday Islands. The colours of the ocean are magnificent, and lots of beautiful yachts.
